Lizzy, the former drug addict who was rescued from the streets of Lagos by Pastor Tony Rapu has continued has rehabilitation program and the excited cleric has shared new photos of her.

Pastor Tony Rapu who shared new photos of Lizzy on Instagram, captioned the photos "Joyful moments with Lizzy."

Recall it was reported that Lizzy attended a high-brow school in Lagos before being introduced to drugs by her boyfriend. She said she initially she didn’t know what it was but later got addicted to it. Lizzy however got help after Pastor Tony Rapu came to her aid.

Fed Poly Oko final year student dies mysteriously with her boyfriend days before writing her final paper

A final year student of Federal Polytechnic, Oko, and her boyfriend were found dead in a room off-campus days before she was to write her final paper.

According to a student of Fed Poly Oko, Chioma's boyfriend, popularly known as De Young, paid her a visit in school last Saturday, November 16, 2019, and they allegedly spent the day together in a friend's room.

A student of the school who spoke to LIB said De Young's friend, who left his room for them, returned the following morning, November 17, to find his room locked. When he knocked and no one opened, he peered through the window and saw De Young and Chioma scantily clad and motionless.

He forcefully opened the door and found them unconscious. Chioma's body was swollen and her tongue was sticking out of her mouth. Her skin colour had already changed.

They were rushed to "Chinonso Hospital" where it was revealed that Chioma, who is from Nnewi, had been dead for at least 6 hours but De Young was still alive, though unconscious.

People were hoping for his recovery so he would explain what had happened. Sadly, he eventually ed on too.

Chioma's was looking forward to writing her final exam on Friday, November 22, and she took to her Facebook Stories to write about it.

There have been numerous speculations about what caused the couple's death but since they are not confirmed we will not be reporting them.

Friends and students have taken to various social media platforms to mourn Chioma, who has been buried, and De Young.

A struggling undergraduate in Delta State and his parents are now in dire straits following the alleged extortion of his school fees and upkeep allowance by armed policemen along Sapele-Warri Road.

A report on Saturday, November 16, 2019, by PUNCH said the incident took place last Tuesday, November 12, 2019. It identified the victim as Efe Ifie, a 300 level student of Civil Engineering at the Delta State University. The report said the incident took place

“Some armed policemen at a checkpoint stopped the bus he was travelling in and reportedly compelled him to cough up N150,000 meant for the school fees and his feeding,” the report said.

Ifie told the paper that the policemen flagged down the bus and asked him to disembark for inspection, then took him to their station and threatened to detain him after they checked his phone and saw two Gmail s – one his personal email address bearing his name while the other carries the name of his dance crew.

The 22-year-old explained that to his amazement, the policeman afterwards tagged him a fraudster for operating two email addresses, the report said.

It quoted Ifie as saying: “I told him I am not a fraudster and was trying to explain to him that the second email is for my crew. He called his colleague to take me into their vehicle far from where the bus I was travelling in was and they handcuffed me. They told the driver to leave me. I told them I am a student and that I was going to school.”

The young man, according to the report, repeatedly pleaded with the cops to allow him call his parents but they declined, rather asking him to “settle” with N200,000.

Ifie said that after being detained at Ekpan Police Division until around 2pm, he was taken to an ATM point but it did not work. “They then took me to a POS stand around the station and forced me to withdraw N150,000 from my for them. My school fees was about N80,000 while the remaining money was for my welfare. The payment for school fees is closing next month,” he lamented.

On his parents’ reaction, PUNCH quoted Ifie as saying: “When I got home I narrated what happened to my parents and they were upset because it was difficult for them to raise that money. I don’t know the names of the policemen because they didn’t wear name tags but I can identify them.”

However, Onome Onovwakpoyeya, the Delta State police public relations officer, PPRO, told PUNCH that the police team could not have been from Ekpan Division as the spot where Ifie was picked was not under the division’s jurisdiction.

He was quoted as saying: “There is nothing much we can do. The appropriate thing is for the person to report in my office. The person can do an email to my office, explaining what happened if he doesn’t want to come. And if there is anything he noticed about the policemen that we can use (to fish them out), he should tell us.”

Operatives of the Inspector-General of Police Intelligence Response Team have arrested a retired military officer and nurse, Samuel Adagbo, for allegedly selling babies to a politician in Delta State.

Adagbo, 73, was arrested alongside his accomplices, Faith Desmond, Sunday Chinedu, 33 and Joy Monday 23.

While Monday was said to have sold her baby to Adagbo, Chinedu reportedly facilitated the transactions of three children, two of whom the septuagenarian sold to the politician identified only as Francis.

City Round learnt that Adagbo, who lives in Biri community, Delta State, also operated an uned mortuary where four bodies were recovered by the police.

Adagbo said, “I was enlisted into the Nigerian Army in 1968 during the civil war and I retired in May 1982. I was with the Nigerian Army Module Nurse School. In 1984, I ed my maternity home under the then Bendel State Ministry of Health. I was operating a clinic and a maternity and I also have a mortuary where I keep dead bodies within the community. The mortuary was not ed but I didn’t know that it was illegal to operate a mortuary without proper registration.

“About three years ago, one Favour brought Joy (Monday) to my house and she told me she was six months pregnant. She gave birth to a male child who died some hours after birth. Her second child is a female child sold to a woman whose whereabouts I don’t know now.”

Adagbo stated that one Friday introduced Francis to him and he sold two newborns to the politician for N450, 000.

“I collected N300,000 for the first baby from Mr Francis and the mother took N150, 000 and gave me the remaining amount. I gave Friday who brought the deal N50, 000 while I took N100, 000.

“That same day, Mr Francis bought another six month-old-baby from me for N150,000 and I gave the mother of the baby N50,000 while I took N100,000,” he added.

The police said they were on the trail of the politician and Friday.

A double-barrelled gun was also said to have been recovered from Adagbo but the man said the gun was licenced at the Delta State Police Command.

He said, “I bought the gun for N235,000 at Onitsha Market (Anambra State) and I took it to the Delta State Police Command for registration. It was ed by a police officer called Collins. He was attached to the armoury.

“I was ignorant of all the crimes I committed and I want the police to be merciful. I want God to forgive my sins.”

Desmond, 27, from Plateau State, said Monday took him to Adagbo sometime in April 2019 when she (Desmond) was seven months pregnant with a promise that the man would assist her to deliver her baby.

“I was there with them for about two weeks, and later police came to arrest Adagbo and everyone in the compound. We were taken to the police station. I am aware Adagbo is selling babies.


“Joy (Monday) later confessed to us that she sold a baby to Adagbo and that he gave her N50, 000,” she added.

Monday, an indigene of Enugu State, confessed to have sold a child to Adagbo, adding that she initially planned to abort the pregnancy.

On his part, Chinedu said, “A woman by name Christabel came to me and was crying that she came to Umunede (Delta State) to make some money to travel. She agreed to sell her baby for N300, 000. Samuel (Adagbo) collected N50,000. He gave me N30, 000 and he handed over N230,000 to Christabel and she left.

“Christabel came back to me with her pregnant friend and one young man who said he was the husband of the lady. We all went to Samuel Adagbo’s house. When the woman was delivered of a baby girl, we sold the child for N300,000 and shared the money with the same formula. The total children Adagbo bought through me were three.”
