flowwolf09: What you can control, I believe, Is to 1. Diversify your investment (if you have any). As long as you live in Nigeria, whether you earn in NGN or FX does not matter... the prices of goods will always catch up with you. So, increase your absolute earning power...remove your disposable savings from the bank..and put them to work..and grow 2. Since Naira might, emphasis on might, get devalued further over the coming months...save in a more stable currency.....the war is between Saudi/Russia/USA 3. Learn more skills, a post-corona world will throw open huge opportunities..in waste management/public health/education/agriculture..identify something now..and learn 4. If all else fails, prepare to JAPA ![]() Flowwolf09, apologies for quoting you.. 2 Likes |

scobyy2007: This night when you are about to sleep, take a deep breath and say to yourself: "At least I met new friends, the travelling was exciting, and it was a hell of a phase. It's time to refocus on other jobs, this one is over". Unfollow this thread, cut communication with anything that will remind you of nnpc for some time, and go do other things - refresh your linkedin profile, revisit myjobmag and start applying, visit udacity and start learning that python, or resume application for the MSc in USA, or even start the Canadian/Australian express entry application. One of two things will happen - You will start getting engrossed in something much more useful, and better for your life. OR NNPC will wake up after you've forgotten about them - what a wonderful surprise! ![]() ![]() ![]() This is me talking to myself 7 weeks gone in 2020. Cheers to me achieving something in 45 weeks ![]() ![]() Peace out. 42 Likes |

Wow, nice work there. Do you tint glasses too? Sunlight is coming in too much at home. We need to put a film that will prevent heat from coming in. Can you do that?

Dear All, Until there is an official message from NNPC that you should send money to a particular , you should not refund anything yet. There are 3 scenarios, 1. The people in charge of the payment actually committed an error, and are trying to get refunds to clear the balance. 2. There is a money laundering scheme ongoing at NNPC using the TF payment as cover. 3. Some people successfully hacked the database of phone numbers of people that came for interview (list of papers actually), and are trying to scam candidates (when they heard of the error). ..... Scenario 1. Truthful Error from NNPC By the act of the corporation, it is unethical and absolutely not allowed for any staff/contractor to receive any money to a personal . It is an offence that can lead to imprisonment. Payment of TF is not a thing done by one Lazarus, or King, there are teams in charge. If they need to ask people to refund, they will use official channel of communication- Emails, SMS (without grammatical blunders), or use banks to place lien on defaulting s. So, you should not send anything yet. Scenario 2 Money Laundering at NNPC One of the teams in charge of making payments discovered a loophole and decide to cash in on it. Here is how money is laundered. Send a bulk payment, say like 100m, to several s in smaller amounts (to by regulatory filters), then send a bulk message to the people to pay to a private . This might be from some people inside NNPC. You should never reply to this request. You might be arrested in the future, if this is discovered by NNPC regulatory. 3. Scenario 3 Database Hack Some people heard that there are errors in the payment, that some applicants are getting twice and thrice. They quickly hacked into the list of phone numbers. Created an with the name seen in earlier payments, send a bulk message for people to refund. (Messages from non professional scammers are usually full of errors, like the one you received). The scammers might actually be insiders in NNPC. You should not respond to the message, be smart and intelligent. summary Until there is an official clarification from NNPC saying that - this is the actual amount you are entitled to (do you know?), and that you have been overpaid, you should not respond to the fraudulent messages in circulation. ElZackzacky2019: So what age should nnpc set? 30yrs? 40yrs? 50yrs? Or it should be open to everyone..even graduates of 110yrs.. Do you consider that Compulsory retirement in service is at 65yrs? Or nnpc will spend huge amount to train "graduates"? Which must be armotized..? Should they employ graduates of 64yrs? .... There are cadres in this same recruitment. GT and EH. 28yrs and 40yrs I guess? Entry level into federal service has an age limit, have you checked? Why is the lawyer not challenging EH? I'm just pointing out some weakness in the case ![]() Law and Logic goes together. A firm will do what is best for its interests. PS: Do you realize that 28yrs is not an arbitrary number? There was a statistical survey/research done by the FG/NNPC. Do you consider that 90% of all Nigerian Graduates over the last 20yrs fall within 28yrs and below? Fact. So how is majority stopped from applying? ![]() .... He who comes to equity must come with clean hands... ![]() 14 Likes |

As an honorable local man, I must contribute my opinion to the raging war on the thread, because there is no neutral person in war....you are either for or against. ![]() When we argue, we are trying to make the other party see our point of view. In this light, we expound, denounce, give examples in order to convince the other party. ARGUMENTS ARE NOT FIGHTS. When we abuse the person we are trying to convince, when we make snide remarks, when we fall into argumentum ad hominem , heaven will fall before the other person agrees with us. We don't need to abuse to our points. Repeat. We don't need to abuse to our points. ![]() If at the end, the other person does not agree, then we can as well agree to disagree. ![]() ......... Gbriels trying to correct Jarus, Larride, bobowaja and others trying to correct Gbriels... if everyone has been a little bit softer, a little bit more courteous, a little less of abuses and curses... we would have all engaged the other effectively. That's my own 2 kobo. ![]() Have an awesome day y'all ![]() 14 Likes |
