I didn’t transfer any bulk money to her as that’s risky. Her only had about 80k naira.

Couldn’t find my birth certificate to prove she is my mother so I used pictures from my wedding.
Birth certificate of my baby

Congratulations!
Being the sole sponsor, how much did you use for her and was the money in your for 6months? Or it got accumulated over 6 months!

Yes you can go for 2yrs but indicate that they will be visiting you from time to time hence the need for two years visa. If they met all requirements their visa will be approved or give. Lesser duration than you requested

Alright, thanks a lot.

Good morning everyone, please I need your help on something confusing.

My parents were issued a 6-month visit visa in 2013 and they came to the UK in May 2013 and used just a few days. Now, I want to apply for a visit visa for them as my partner and I are expecting our first child before December. My question is can they apply for a 2 years visit visa because it has been over 10 years since their first visa?

Morning Gurus and hope you all are enjoying Qatar 2022 World Cup?

One of the care home she's working with for over 6months wish to offer her COS depending on if her agency will accept and without charging Transfer fee.
I know agency/temporary worker can transfer after working over 4months.
Any idea on how to solve this?

Tnx

Not sure if this will work for her but some peeps here applied for their P45 which obviously states an end to their employment/contract with the agency then applied/switched to the care home that’s willing to sponsor. They didn’t involve their agency.

Please can someone help out? Experian sent a random mail that I qualify for Backlay credit card, I applied and was rejected, what should I do ?
Thanks .

I am not an expert in this area but the outcome you got is worrisome because I applied for an AMEX CC few mins ago and got approved. I do not pay utility bills but I am on the electoral , I have a full-time employment and I have been in the UK for less than 2years. Stating this just for you to rule out the possibility of you being rejected because of bills. I hope you get all the help you need.

If you are just looking for a steady job to relax with a stable income but with little to no Job progression, the NHS is good.

Thanks a lot. Yes, you're right. This is just a foundation to lay subsequent achievements upon. Thanks for the insight and the link as well. Bless your heart

Hi, i just got a job too as a data analyst in NHS.
Are you taking the offer and is it an entry level band?
Mine also comes with sponsorship.

Congratulations!!! This made me smile.
Yes, will take the offer and it is a band 5 role. The rate at which private companies are laying off peeps is scary hence my decision.

Let's chat if you do not mind. I'll initiate it so kindly check you mail.

Just know that if you decide to go with the NHS, your destiny won’t be tied to the place, you can always leave in a year plus and go back to the private sector. At the end of the day, do what’s best for you and your wallet.

Thanks. The NHS keeps ticking boxes!

Again, just like it used to be back in Nigeria, civil servants have security, so if you get a job with the NHS, barring any serious issues, you can look forward to retiring there. If one wants security and has no risk appetite, the civil service works.

Thanks a lot. This will help me make an informed decision.

Take the NHS job. Private sector might pay better, but could also drop you at short notice especially with the current economic situation. With NHS you’re like a tenured professor, na you go tire.

My fear exactly. Job security is top on my list. Thanks

Stay with the Private company. Too much politics with NHS and the powers that be there may be racist.

Thank for your input.

NHS is civil service. The pay is so-so. Basically you are working in return for a government guaranteed pension more generous than the private sector.

Thanks a lot for the reply. Will make careful comparisons and make a decision. May God guide me.

NHS is a much bigger organization, there are loads of Data to analyse and it holds far more confidential information than you can ever imagine. If you are working for England you are good to go.

Thanks for the response. Yes, work is in Wakefield. If you don’t mind, why did you emphasise on England? I’m learning. Thanks

Hello everyone,

I need insights from the experienced peeps on this forum.
I got a job offer from NHS to work as a Data Analyst accompanied with Tier2 /sponsorship visa. I currently work as an IT service desk technician in a private company and I must say, it’s wonderful working here (my current company). My boss put in a word for me and the company is ready to sponsor me so they intend to put in an application to the home office to be a sponsorship licensed employer so I can be sponsored. Also, I’ll move to another department to work as a Data Analyst. I really have no Idea how the NHS works but would like to hear from experienced folks. If you were in my shoes, what will you do? Thanks

I have no clue but I just asked a friend who did similar...... the main applicant school is London but when the family were to 3 months later as London is expensive and its been remote learning due to covid, they got a place down south ( about 2 hours drive to london). They submitted the tenancy agreement in their dependent application, no issues were raised and visa issued .

However some cases might differ so just always be prepared to explain why if asked

Thanks a lot. God bless you

Gurus, please help.
If the main applicant is already in Bristol but living in Cardiff will there be a problem when the dependant is applying for Visa? as regards the location being different from the school environment (Bristol).
Thanks

Thank you so much..

Don't be discouraged, you have already taken the step so you might as well plunge in. Hopefully, things return to some semblance of normalcy soon and you can hit the ground running.

Updates coming

Thank you.

Wow, so detailed and interesting. Great job @Abini2012
I'm Bristol bound and I've been feeling discouraged lately but something is evident in your write-ups, you're strong-willed and I'm going to emulate that. Looking forward to more updates.

Thanks Chief, I think I'll just get a ticket for Friday evening just to be on a safe side. I think that's fine, right?

Please find out if u will get the result that same day. If possible, I would advise u use thursday to be on a safer time frame in accordance to your flight timing.

My one cent

Thanks for your response. The lab said result will be out within 24 to 48 hours. Flight can be moved to Friday though. I'm yet to buy the ticket as I need to clarify this 72 hours thing before paying.
