Where there's a will, there will most certainly be a way.
lol... That's also the question people who haven't expanded their mind would often ask.

Did that dude knew he could write articles to raise money?

Today, and once again, I'm writing on a very familiar issue. Degrees are outrightly overrated - especially down here in Nigeria.

This system churns out thousands of graduates every single year, and almost all of these graduates have the same mindset of seeking and getting a job somewhere. Whether or not we accept it, the JOB MARKET is overcrowded and government won't give everyone a job. Actually every serious government should be more concerned with creating a ive and enabling environment than creating jobs for its people.

Every individual has a talent and a ion, and their wealth and fame lies in their vigorous pursuit of those ions and talents.

It's about time everyone begins learning a skill OR start to develop some latent ability within them. There's nothing wrong with adding a skill to your degree. It could be learning plumbing, professional driving, wiring a house, tailoring, selling, carpentry, painting, fashion deg, etc, or it could developing some soft skills like becoming a great communicator, writer, or even becoming a motivational speaker or personal development expert.

I had gone to give a safety briefing to some contractors and other management staff this day. After the briefing, one of the managers approached me, appreciated the manner of the talk and asked, " are you a motivational speaker?". Of course I sad NO. And she enthused I would make a good speaker if I could put my heart into it.

I laughed away the talk, but the speech replayed later in my mind as I was preparing to retire to bed in the evening. I Googled on the topic and started to read almost all the materials that came up. That was how I started on the journey to personal development and motivational speaking.

Last week, I went to give a give a talk to some youths. Although I refused to take a dime but I left there very fulfilled and I know I'm on my way to adding another skill to my skill pool. In this era, there's no limit to the skills we can acquire.

At the moment, an old man is fixing some plumbing works for me. As we talked, he told me how he's been looking for youths to assist in learning that skill, but none has shown any interest.

As an undergraduate, you can still make plans towards learning a skill while on campus. Skill is the way forward. No great nation ever took skill development for granted. It's time to learn a skill. Any skill can be a temporal source of income. Men are losing their jobs; competition is fiercer now than ever. Even if you're seeking to be the best in your chosen field, you can still add a skill. Any skill.

Thanks for reading. Have a great day.

Lalasticalala, good morning.

To be candid, any job is a job as long as it can bring in money. Since I left school, I haven't had luck with getting a job but that didn't stop me from earning six figures with skills I taught myself.

Now, just a few weeks ago, I learned from a certain Nairalander that people are making a killing with web and app development.

I have since started reshaping my mind to accept new skills in that area. I will be learning HTML, HTML5, CSS, CSS3, PHP, JAVA, JAVAScript, Python, Ruby On Rail.

Why?

I taught myself website design and I want to go deeper so I can be in control.

Since I read rich dad, poor dad years ago, I haven't really feared being without a job.

There is also nothing I don't know about doing business on the internet: Internet Marketing, Content Marketing, SEO, marketing, List Building, Selling On The web with stories, Cold Calling, Freelancing, Domain selling , Blogging, Importation etc. All this I taught myself.

The whole industry has changed over the years and outsourcing is also collapsing it.

Big corp are willing to pay you to write simple codes and app for them. I saw 2 companies yesterday that is willing to 55-60k dollars if you have coding skills and I found them while researching. This further reinforced my desire to learn coding because I have always loved working with my PC and I want to be in control!

It still amaze me why it took so long before he implemented his personal ads serving platform (Maybe he's not business wise). When you have a site like nairaland, the only way to make money is by creating ads space, he is still missing out on some other methods anyway, he should have section for business people, he should also allow sticky post when you buy the spot. SEUN!!! Hire me as your CFO.
That's due to rigid mind.

Seun isn't a business man in the actual sense-- else by now he would have implemented AMA by now. He can displace Linda Ikeji if he really wants but like I said, he isn't a businessman.

Linda Ikeji is not really doing blogging in the actual sense... Her grace was starting early. Phenomenally, early starters takes the lead in a niche--early bird catches the worm!

Why did you think the like of Seun, Linda Ikeji dropped Google Adsense?
seun dropped it because of bans. Google was always banning his and adsense wouldn't show up for weeks and this didn't put him in control--with google, you are never in control. Never build your business to depend on Google.

People had to suggest placing local ads on nairaland.

i disagree adsense pays alot you can be in any country but you need to be in the right niche, not all keywords pay the same. some of my small sites getting 5000 pageviews a day out performs my big site averaging at 30000 pageviews a day in adsense.

do yo know how extremely difficult it is to make money with the things you just mentioned.
number 1 marketing is based on performance(A,L) you can get 100 000 pageviews to your site with 5000 clicks and get $0 they don't pay for pageviews or clicks its basically robbing you of your hard earned traffic its easier to slap adsense there and relax even the lowest paying keywords will get you something better than nothing.

promoting products is difficult for your average joe they better off with adsense as long as they have traffic.reviews sponsored posts are not ideal for your avaerage blogs theres no clear blueprint on how to make money on these. are you making alot of money from these? i personally think you can be making more on adsense.
you are wrong in some of your assertions

A lot of times ladies do discuss that they don't want guys that are too nice to them, it makes the routine of the relationship to be very boring. You can easily predict your man. You wanna enter the car, he opens the door, he goes to the market to buy food stuffs so you can cook. As much as some ladies relish this, most of them detest it.

Do you know some ladies like it when their man beats them?

I heard a story of a lady in a relationship with a guy somewhere in lagos. She is not yet married to this guy but he beats her like a punching bag. After the beating, the lady will still go ahead to beg him and say "I love him, I love it when he beats me" really!
I'm sure she will also enjoy BDS..M from the guy.

Ladies, how do you like your man?
Do you feel good guys are boring?

"Good guys are boring" that was a statement by nelly of nigeria info 99.3 fm.

Ladies, share ur view.
Expect many of them to deny it and say they like good guys.

it is because a .ng domain is more expensive than the .com or .com.ng.

check out the hosting service providers and compare the prices.
but .com.ng is cheaper now. Why can't we still embrace it?

I have scanned the web and only a very few domains are live on .com.ng or .ng.

Why aren't we embracing our own brand of extension like it is obtainable in UK, Australia, South Africa etc?

seriously?

I see the thread is a lil' more personal for you as you are probably in possession of the same kind of vagĂna lips....

we are not doctors and he has Google at his fingertips, and he could have taken this to the health section, there are doctors there.
it's foolishness to assume that everyone has same reasoning as yourself.

It's saddens me that even those who are saying "God bless me" are doing so on the basis of a "capacity to show off" and not invest.

We will know sooner than later who the real money makers are in 10 years time.

Thanks to you , continue to comment pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesssssssssssssssssseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I need another one tomorrow

grin
and I just got paid 200k and 100k to be paid by end of this month. How is that? cheesy

You are a good writer bro. I am not disputing that. Imagine you earned 50k now. How much do you think you would earn if you improve your site's image? Think BIG!

May be you don't understand yet. Lemme explain.

In 2008 I found one of those paid to click and I was novice. A friend told me it's wastw of time but I didn't believe him.

Why?

The site was so sleeky, clean and exude and aura of corporate organization. The design was out of this world.

So you?

You are losing clients witha design like that if you don't know.

Like they say, a friend will tell you your mouth is smelling. That's what someone who cares will do.
