She was posted to her ppa in ondo but she's currently in Ogun state with her husband. Is it possible for her to redeploy where her husband is and what steps should be taken?
Thanks for ur immense assistance on Npower programme.

Hurray!!! GIFSHIP renewal is on.
You can only do the renewal if
1. You were ed for GIFSHIP before
2. All that ed are still ing again (no additional or removal of anyone previously ed with you)
3. All information remains the same as the previous information given (no change of hospital, HMO, names, date of birth etc)
Hello Sir, God bless u for all your help to individuals so far.
Please my question is this:
I'm a federal worker under nhis and currently pregnant and about to deliver. Due to the fact that I will be relocating I applied for a change of hospital from fmc in ondo state to fmc in Ogun state. I reside in Ondo state but will be moving over to Ogun state.
I went to nhis office did all I was asked to do and the officer in charge told me he has changed it that I should check back by 1st week of July that if is out by then then I will be knocked off from fmc ondo to fmc ogun.
My regrets now is I wish to give birth in Ondo b4 moving to Ogun state. Supposing the change and transfer comes out successfully by 1st week of July can I still remain in Ondo and give birth under the nhis without moving to the fmc Ogun I was moved to?
Thanks am really worried.

If uniben as a teaching hospital please go there
First I am not medical practitioner so whatever I advise I give is from my own personal experience.
Sleeping on the floor helped it will be hard but your body will get used to.
Eating a good and healthy diet. More of protein
Exercise is important but doing the right one is more important. One the exercise I did was to lay on the floor then push my upper body up without allowing my waist to leave the ground then count to 10, 15 more when you start it will hard but as you continue it will be easier.
Drugs is key but It will only take the pain away. Supplements are very important. I take Neurvita fort every month.
No more heavy lifting and sitting down for long periods of time for me. Rest is important and also that your body is growing old so manage it well. If I could get better trust me you would.
That is you take it daily month to month? How many dose a day?
Please how much do u buy the card?

Does your brother drive alot, if he does then that is where it started
You are right sir. He doesn't drive but sits a lot at work and that is the genesis of his problem. The doctor even comfirmed it. The doctor asked him to buy a swivel chair for comfort and to enable him bend backwards easily. The type he was asked to get is expensive oo! 100k plus

OK same with my brother. I guess these pains occur regardless of age. Funny enough the doctor expressed surprise that my sibling is going through this at a very young age.

@Bolded, I doubt it!! Someone with an anterior pelvic tilt will not have a straightened lumbar lordosis or flat back. APT is characterized by excessive curve in the lower back.
We can do a quick test:
He should lay down on his back with his legs flat down and knees raised up. Can he feel arch in his lower back or is there a curve, he should put this hand through his lower back to confirm.
See my comment in the previous post on my opinion on pain medications and yes if the issues of poor posture is not addressed the pain and dysfunctions will keep coming back.
Let him do the test above. A proper diagnosis is important before he starts exercises; it will be crazy to do a posterior pelvic tilt correction exercise when he actually has an anterior pelvic tilt and vice versa; this will make him WORST!!
Gratitude Sir! You have been of immense help. He will be here to answer for himself.

I have exactly the same pain in my left hip and the entire leg downward..
Though I don't have back pain but I can't work long distance without breaking down in pain. I also noticed that my posture has changed (bending rightward while walking or standing)
A doctor suggested it's arthritis and placed me on ibuprofen and other pain reliever medicine.
It works very well but the pain reoccures as soon as I stop the medication..
Please I need help.
Sorry about your condition sir. How old are u please?

Lots of the right exercises and eating healthy food will also help but I will say it was the combination of everything that got me thru.
Wow! Am so happy for u. Do u sleep on the floor or bed? Or orthopaedic bed?
Any recommended exercise?
Is squatting/frog jump a good one?

Exercises to strengthen weak muscles and losen tight ones. In posterior pelvic tilt certain muscles are tight and others are weak and they need to be worked on through exercises and awareness of what the neutral spine should be. That’s why I said he needs education, that’s the key!!
Doctor can treat you with all sorts of medications or devices but if you don’t know what the right posture is, then just wait for a few months or years it will surely be back. Traction will take away the pain but all these are just treatments for the symptoms (yea the pain is just a symptom that you have a misaligned pelvis)
Thank u so much sir God will bless you real good. He's not on NL but I've shown him this thread and he has taken your .
From the pictures u sent his condition looks like the one in the middle with bulging out butt(anterior pelvic tilt)
Talking about the right posture do u mean with time the bad posture/misaligned pelvis can return back to normal in months or years to come?
While on exercise should he continue or discontinue pain relief drugs?
And if he should continue on pain relief drugs could u be kind to recommend any?

I wont advice he stays to long on cocodamol because it is addictive.
The pain was crazy in my hips too and I couldn't sleep, I couldn't walk erect without bending it started affecting my walking.
There is a machine in lasuth its used for traction. Traction if I will explain in a layman's term is pulling of the upper limbs and the lower limbs apart using a machine this reduces the pressure on the back allowing for easy movement. That machine did wonders for me
Thank u sir! Sorry if am bothering you cos he's my only brother. The traction is it done just once or repeatedly and cost implication please?
|
Funmilehot(f): 9:16am On May 26, 2022 |
Lusola15:
Tell the doctor to refer him to lsuth physio department if he is in Lagos.
Cocodamol will only reduce the pain and it will come back.
Thank u sir. I found out that his is similar to yours.
Please could u tell me more about traction and cost?

To God be the glory it as.
Pregabalin and neruvita fort
I had to go for traction in LSUTH.
He should start sleeping on the floor too
please what do you mean by traction? He has finished 2 cards of Pregabalin it stopped and came back.
He has also finished 4 cards of cocodamol.
How long were u on the drugs sir?
The pains arr affecting his hip as well.

It can be serious lol if not corrected soon.
The summary of the solution is posture correction but its not that easy because he needs to understand what the problem is and how it affects his body.
please ur suggestion will be highly valued. He keep going to hospital and they keep giving him expensive pain relief drugs but the pains returns. Please what steps did you take to correct yours?

If i met a doctor that told me this, I would have been saved from years of pain, depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts etc. What posterior pelvic tilt caused to me could have led to my death literally.
What specialist doctor did he meet?
A general doctor at Federal medical Centre. He was sent for scan/xray and the result showed
"loss of lumbar lordosis with straightening of the lumbar spine. The lumbar vertebrate are normal in outline, height and alignment. The intervertebrate disc spaces are normal limits. No para vertebral lesion seen. MRI may be advised"

He probably has has been slouching for years without knowing, at least this was the cause of mine.
Loss of lumbar lordosis essentially means he has a posterior pelvic tilt and if not corrected this can cause several impairments in his body like breathing problems, back pain/proneness to back injury, pelvic floor dysfunction, Erectile dysfunction, etc.
Anyways the first step is to realize that he is probably slouching (not sitting and standing in the correct posture). The correct posture is one with a neutral spine and every normal spine has a slight curve (about 7 degree). A loss of lumbar lordosis means this curve is totally lost because the pelvis has tilted posteriorly or backwards.
I believe his cause is bad posture as well but I wouldn’t assume. I will wait to get further information.
Is yours completely restored?
What steps did you take sir?
|
Funmilehot(f): 4:47am On May 26, 2022 |
braveheart77:
Not an issue of drug. You need to get your natural lumbar lordosis back (the natural curve in the spine). If you don’t do this, you will be back to square one in no time because the lumbar lordosis should not be straightened as this will cause pronesss to injury, back pains, and even breathing issues in the long term since a straightened lumbar lordosis will distort the thoracic spine as well and cause a compression in the rib cage; the body is all connected!!
please sir is the condition serious?
How can the lumbar lordosis be restored?

Yes sir! The doctor said it was as a result of his posture and my brother sits for a long time at his place of work. He has been on medication prescribed by the doctor, Cocodamol. A relief came but the pain is back again. He can hardly bend or walk erect. Please help.
