Sign of maturity is to have a healthy dose of skepticism for opinions. Deal in facts and believabilities. Those who have sufficient knowledge and expertise on a topic. As it were, only the NNPC management has the correct info or program of events for any recruitment. All the rest na hearsay.

Guy, in real life, most things dont move in a straight line from start to finish. If the NNPC spokesman says recruitment are done on needs basis, then so be it. Would you be disturbed over a job that has low pay with a small company? The same interest you are pursuing is what NNPC is pursuing- trying to meet business objectives. So chill and not be worried.

It seems you dont follow latest developments on the refineries. The GMD is handing over to private companies to run the refineries. The new model is to use refinery operators to run the refineries and they make their margins. More like PPP but with more hands on from the private operators.

If GMD said NNPC will get back to us after they're done with the ongoing skills gap needs, why don't we chill and watch what happens next and if the GTs resume as well, we can then begin to go down the cancellation rumours if nothing happens. For me, until it's official, it's all but rumours for now.

This cancellation rumour started because GMD and top mgt visited FCC, and same day the recruitment site went down.

GMD clearly stated that EH recruitment will be done to fill skillsets not available in the NNPC workforce. NNPC is redefining their needs through a skill set gap analysis.

A crucial point made by MKK was that many of the interviewed candidates did not possess the skills to fill for the interviewed roles. In fact, that's the main reason the EH component has not been concluded. You can't bring in people at that scale and magnitude and start training them. NNPC does not have the time nor patience. Unlike the GTs that they are training and shaping to their standards.
