This country is so unfortunate to be 'blessed' elders/leaders who would sell their mothers for a plate of porridge! Nobody is wishing Yar Adua dead! But we can not allow the affairs of the nation to be left in the hands of those that would capitalise on the ill health of the president to rape the nation dead! All these sycophants do is to pledge allegiance since the President went(?) to Saudi Arabia. The fuel scarcity is biting harder each day. Who is in control of the nation? Who gives directives to the ministers to do what is expected? The Lagos/Benin road is still a death trap. engers are always stranded there. Some even the night on the road because upturned trailers and tankers. When shall we see the truth in this country and say so? |

What I know is that everyone will reap whatever they sow! When we shower so much love on our children and relegate our spouse to the background we tend to forget that the kids have lives of their own. As soon as they get to secondary school, they start craving to be on their own! Once they get into the university it's a different story. They come home less frequently. At some point, we start to realise that we have a spouse that has been hanging on all along. If we are LUCKY, the spouse will still be there yearning for our love otherwise he or she would have found companionship elsewhere! Let us carry our spouse ALONG!

I am not surprised at anything that happens in this modern day anymore! When a man can openly marry another man. With the mad increase in the number of the animals in human form practising homosexualism and lesbianism, a married woman retaining her father's name is a 'small thing'. Imagine men doing it from the back and ladies licking each other private part and they claim that they were created like that. THEN WHY DID GOD DESTROY SODDOM & GOMORRAH?

The nation will only move forward when we start telling ourselves the REAL truth. Just look at it, it is emotions that becloud our judgements and not patrotism! Football is just one tiny aspect of our national life, why should it be any different from our corrupt style?

They say Talk is cheap! But in actual sense, it ain't cheap all the time. Most times it's costly, it cost some people their lives, happiness, health, job, safety, finances, etc. A lot talk and talk themselves into trouble. True, there are fake ministers of God. But why generalise? We all know that there are fakes in every aspect of life! Fake police, NEPA officials, Fake Doctors, students, companies. In fact we also have fake children! Some who speak are actually products of adulterous affairs between their mums and other men. We should be careful. God will fight at his own time. His ways are not our ways.

Pataki: Thanks for your constructive comments. I am not convinced that she has been delivered. The pastor did not perform any deliverance. The only thing I am happy about is the fact that I got a confession from her. I have actually been suspecting her and this other woman for about 3yrs now but there was no concrete evidence. Presently, she’s remorseful because her family are aware. This was her own making. She was trying to portray me to her parents as not wanting her to keep friends. In the course of her story, the other woman’s husband name was mentioned and they had to call him. He told them much more than I knew. As a human being I have put some measures in place which I hope will check a drastically reduce the chance of a re-occurrence. But if it still happens, then only God knows what would happen. I will cross that bridge when/if I get there. |

I thank you all for your advice (constructive & otherwise). Personally, i like to learn from other peoples' situation. Putting my plight on nairaland, to me, was a way of getting the problem slightly off me by sharing it anonymously with people. It is also an opportunity for others to learn. On my way to work on Friday, I decided to report the case to a pastor that she respects. He promised praying about it afterwhich he would call my wife. Later in the day, he called and told me that he would like to seek my permission to visit our home on Saturday morning. He eventually came and preached to the two of us. He did not apportion any blame but encouraged us to do what is Godly and right. He told us to forgive each other and move on with the marriage. At that point, I told him that we were not addressing the issue on ground. Because there can't never be forgiveness when there is no ittance/confession of any wrong doing. I poured out my mind bitterly. He called my wife to kneel down right in front of me and ask for my forgiveness. I still insisted that she had to confess what she did before forgiveness would take place otherwise it would mean that I was accussing her wrongfully. She eventually confessed to the allegations right before the pastor and begged for my forgiveness which i gave. After the pastor had left, she came back to me on her knees and wept chronicling how the whole thing started. She mentioned the names of some of her married friends who are still into the act. I have told her that i do not want to see the woman with her again. Some people would tell you that it is because a 'i am not a real man'. Only if they knew how good i am, I pray they never find themselves in this situation. 2 Likes |

For clarification purposes, my wife is 35yrs old, I am very active sexually and my manhood will satisfy any woman with normal features. Going down memory lane, I can recall that at the early stage of our marriage she had confided in me that some of her very close friends in Port Harcourt practised lesbianism while they were still young. Some of them are married now and still reside in Port Harcourt. At a point I concluded that she had taken part in it, but since was a born-again and a prayerful person at that, I felt she had stopped it. Things started changing when this kalabari woman came on the scene. She started visiting our home and my wife too started sharing time with her. A lot of time I would return from work only to be told by the kids and the househelp that my wife is in the other woman’s apartment. I complained to her severally but she always took offence.

It’s been a great battle since I confronted her last night. I went about it in a gentle way and told her that the other woman’s husband was aware. The effect of the stigma on her, her business and the family was made known to her. To my amazement, she denied the whole thing and categorically told me that the other woman was not a lesbian. I questioned her assertiveness on this allegation. At about 1am I called the woman and warned her to leave my wife alone. She tried to play dumb but when I told her I knew everything she kept quiet. After that, I call her husband and put the call on speaker. He confirmed the whole thing to my wife’s hearing and even recited some of the text messages my wife sent to his. My wife kept quiet. But immediately the call ended she started complaining that I do not want her to have friends and all. She failed to address the issue at hand. Even the other woman’s mother confirmed that she knew her daughter had done such in the past with another lady but that she was shocked that my wife who she considered God-fearing is the one that has taken over from the other lady. My wife called her mum late last night and gave a different version of the situation to her. She called me and I gave the gsm number of the other woman’s husband to talk to. Since she finished talking to the guy, she has been in a state of shock. She can not imagine her own daughter partaking in an act of lesbianism.

Thanks for all your advice. She's yet to return from her business. I have made up my mind. I am going to confront her tonight! I do not need to start stating here what I have done for her, her family, and others. I have been a 'very' good husband, father, inlaw and all. Imagine, the husband of the woman in question called me few minutes ago to warn my wife to steer clear of his wife. Imagine! He said he has reported to his mother-in-law. I just can't believe all these. whatever comes out of it, i will take.

I don't know what else we are waiting for to confirm that we have failed as a nation! The only sustaining factor is availability of crude oil. Just check out the following and tell me how are different from Somalia: Militants are in charge of the creeks in the Niger Delta Kidnapping is spreading like wild fire We can not conduct a free and fair election (Ekiti a typical example) Robbers are taking over the nation Policemen collect bribe with reckless abandon and the authorities behave as if they do not ply the same road as the commoners A minister shed tears on experiencing the terrible state of the Lagos-Benin road about 1yr ago and promised speedy repair (statusquo is unchanged) Our universities are not better than primary schools in Ghana Portable water? Electricity? Motorable roads? Health care? etc etc etc |

@ Gestapo: If i were to be a staff of Intercontinental Bank, I would have threatened you as well. Freedom of speech does not mean making unguarded or unsubstantiated comments. In this period of global economic meltdown where a lot of people are apprehensive about their finances and jobs, it is irresponsible for people to make careless remarks. What do you think would happen when if people panic and start making unnecessary withdrawals? We should be responsible in our actions!

My 50cents: It's going to be painful, but you guys should end the relationship! I bet you can not cope with SS kids! I have seen neighbours with SS kids. Had a couple of friends. I can assure you that you would regret it if you embark on this mission. Sentiments aside, love and endurance is elastic! I advised my childhood friend against it when he discovered that his fiancee was AS (he is AS also). The fiancee hated my guts for a long time. But today she is happily married to someone else with 3 kids. Same for my friend. You won't believe it, she came to me a couple of years after to apologise and thank me. Have you seen a situation where parents will be praying for a child to die? I pray you don't. A stitch in time, |

Those of you out there, I advise you to ignore the negative comments from the jealous 'locals'. A lot of them desire to be where you are except for the 'constraints' they are facing. Please continue to strive in your individual endeavours until you deem it fit to return. May God bless us all.

ESSS wrote: In all my years of attending church, this "falling under the anointing" thing has always amazed me. First of all, I have never fallen under no anointing. Then there are this group of people who fall under the anointing every time the pastor moves, blinks or even farts. I know of a man who got badly hurt after falling under the anointing from a very bad height. I have come across documentaries and publications which have attributed this falling thing to hypnosis. Hence my question, what is your take on this falling under the anointing stuff. ======================= My reply: It's not all about the falling. It's about spiritual submission. Once your spirit submits/acknowledges the presence of a stronger spirit, it will succumb! I guess you watch TV. Have you ever questioned why fans fall when they are touch or they touch a superstar? Fans go crazy and fall for Michael Jackson. What do you say to that? |

With all due respect, a lot of you should shut up! We keep giving laughable reasons for our backwardness. Agreed, the rot in the power sector occurred over decades. But we are talking of the speed age! We are flaring gas in this country because we do not have the capacity to store them. Burning million of dollars! SHELL in PH does not use NEPA, it powers its residential and industrial area using gas turbines. ELF Petroleum has about 2 or 3 mighty gas turbines servicing the whole of Obagi and its environs in Rivers state. What does it take to have gas turbines all over nigeria? We can't do it because we are corrupt! The former Governor of Rivers State, Peter Odili deceived everybody by bringing his cohort, Obasanjo to commission a gas turbine that is not generating anything. Port Harcourt, even the street where the turbine is located, is in darkness. Billions of Naira went down the drain. He told everyone that it was going to serve Port Harcourt city. Almost all the companies in Trans Amadi, a few metres away from where Odili's gas turbine is, are all running diesel generators. It's a shame on this country. The whole of Bonny Island in Rivers State is enjoying uninterrupted power supply due to the benevolence of NLNG (Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas) company. It's turbines are working! Despite the more than $15billion pumped into NEPA, it is still DEAD! I only get electricity for about 1hr every 2 or 3 days and a still get a constant bill that never reduces. Let them put the power sector in good shape before talking about increasing the tarrif. Nigeria has become a dumping ground for all sorts of generators. Just imagine the litres of fuel we burn every day just to be able to iron our clothes, chill our water, preserve our soup, watch TV (if need be), pump water to our overhead reservoirs, etc. May God destroy the homes of all those hampering the progress of this nation.

Textbook love or better still "M&B" love. Why won't ladies pray for someone like moneybags. What you all should do is ask him if he is married, for how long and get his wife to give you a load-down on him. One thing I would always tell people is that no two marriages are the same. what one individual would apply to his/her marriage for it to work out well would not necessarily fit another couple. As for me, my wife can't never deny me sex! It's unheard of! I won't even do the same to her. Even when we quarrel for a few days, i still go to her whenever I need it. She may not do it as well as she does during "peace time" but most times I have found out that that does the magic. We end up settling our issues immediately after or when we wake up. If anyone expects any text book kind of marriage for him or herself, then marital destruction ain't far away from them. Partners should understand themselves very well and never use sex as a punishment tool. Fantasy and Reality ain't the same thing! Which do you want?

Hello Guys Please don't waste your time replying to dem crazy posts by dem "sexless" creatures. A lot of them are so confused that they even stand up and pee in public places. With what a lot of ladies do these days!? I ain't surprised! A lot of them are contented with their fellow ladies drooling in their private parts that they consider sleeping with the opposite sex irritating. The tone of most of their posts would tell you that they won't have a happy marriage. I wonder what the world is turning into. The way some ladies reason makes one wonder if they are products of a stable home. A big questions!!!!!! |
