I doubt if you read English and Literary Studies well. If you truly did, you would know that graduates of English have a space in every company, firm, bureau, parastatal, etc, that you can think of. So employees need not ask you what you can offer, your resume says it all.

Instead of pursuing phantom certifications that have no bearing with what you read, try and better yourself. Package your resume and apply for jobs as a PR officer, Editor, Speech Writer, OAP, Magazine or Newspaper Journalist, ESL or EFL teacher, etc. Apply to the right firms and you will make it.

Infact, the money I make on Fiverr doing the above I listed per gig is far more than what many of the critics here make in a YEAR. Everyone has to discover themselves, create a niche and make it.

Mind you, I'm also a freelance Web Designer, Graphic Designer, and Code Debugger, Code Editor, etc. And I didn't need to leave my field to make some extra bucks from the above named skills. My exposure to English syntax made programming and coding very easy to catch up on. Most times, I edit the English content in an already written code while I also edit and debug the code itself. You should know what what means in of pay.

So stop putting down your discipline if you truly studied English and have a ion for it because I know 60% of English graduates read English because they felt they had no other choice. Many don't even like the course enough to make a living out of it. Unfortunately, we have many disionate holders of a , third class or a 2.2 grade degree in English. I hope you are not one.

while fixing the phone, the first repairer damaged an I.C in your phone mother-board which is causing the over-heating.
same thing also happened to me, tho mine was charging port.
after helping me to change the charging-port, my phone developed screen issues & also started over-heating. And the foolish repair man couldn't fix it back again & even insulted me to be disturbing him.
unfortunately most of the phone technicians we have in Nigeria are all rubbish & not professionals.
I would suggest you look for a way to sell the phone & get a new one.

Omooh!!! I'm experiencing the same thing with my phone ooooo... I've changed the downboard 6 times because of the charging port. The phone will still develop fault again, it won't charge well. Then someone on nairaland told me it might be the IC. That only a professional engineer could do that. As I dey like this na 2% I dey carry since morning

one thing l've experience with that phone is you don't change only the charging port of it. it's always advisable to change the full downboard of the phone. once you change it, problem solved! or if you've changed the downboard (most engineers call it 'down ') and it's still the same thing, then it's simply the charging ic that's faulty. that too can also be repaired; but by a professional engineer.

Sir, all the six times I've repaired it, the engineers change the downboard sir, not the charging point alone. They always tell me too that it's advisable to change the full downboard, and that's what I've been changing since. Omoh! Where will I get an engineer to repair the IC for me liedis

I'm having a serious issue with my phone Tecno Pouvoir 4 (LC7). The charging point has been giving me serious problem. After using this phone for a year, the phone charging point got spoilt and since then, I did not enjoy my phone anymore
This is the 6th times I'll be repairing the charging point with 5 different engineers
And now it has spoil again I don't even know what to do again. But I haven't take it to calcare before.
Pls any engineer who have an idea to what I can do, I'll really appreciate it. The thing is, if I use a new charger with it (or a charger that I've never use for it before)it will charge,but with time it will still stop working with it.

To everyone trying to start one programming language or the other OR trying to get into tech.

I'd advise to start with JavaScript or Python as they're popularly used Object Oriented Programming Language, not only are they widely used but they help you learn other syntax faster.

You can also learn the basic HTML, CSS and PHP to create basic WordPress websites for freelancing. I added PHP because you could add more dynamic and interactive content to your sites, it makes your website stand out.
There are a lot roles for WordPress Developers and they're mostly remote. Check for CyberCoders online, they've great remote job offers but you need experience so get to work! You can do it!

I recommend Learnhall LLC for those trying to start programming or get into tech. They're about to launch in Africa but more focused on Nigeria for now. They're offering a lot of benefits and I currently know they'll be offering internships abroad to their best students. I got info from a friend working there that they've an investor meeting in June and once they get the funds, they'd start with a lot of scholarships and free courses.

I must commend your sharp and dedicated action plans for a better future for yourself and generation. As a young boy of under 20s who sees himself feat into a better like in respective of family background and wants to make it in life.
I will like to give my own 2% advice as follows....

1.) Learning graphics designs and printing is a very lucrative skill that you can apply both online freelancing or running local office in that field.

2.) If you focus on this skill well and you are able to catapult yourself into big time graphics designer, I bet you in less than 1yr 6months you should be able to make money through freelancing that will power your local office in any city of residence in Nigeria.

3.) While you are doing this endeavor to sign up part-time on basic computer knowledge that will help you take the skill to the next level using the power of computer and internet connection.

4.) Don't compete with those Yahoo+ (ritual boys that flood the streets) for money for now and build your way to the top.

5.) Get a mentor that will always guide, advice and power your dream and at the end you will understand you are taking the most fantastic decisions of like in your quests for better tomorrow.

6.) If you choose to further education which is very advisable in these modern day life, you can be in school and be sponsoring yourself while at the same time living the financial freedom life you craving for today.

I am very vast in this regard and I can help you with useful advice and groom you for this part of life you have chosen just for free. You are always welcome brother.
