Hmmm... Been using this phone for three weeks now and I'm pleasantly surprised.

Coming from a phone with SD820 chip, I was very skeptical that there might be a drop in performance. I actually thought using a phone with the Helio G80 would be a step down, but I was blown away by its smooth operation. The battery life is something else.

The only aspect I'm not really okay with is the camera department, though I'm not a picture person, but I'm totally satisfied with the phone, I mean totally: performance, battery, gaming multitasking.

I usually play PES mobile on standard graphics on my former phone, but on the Redmi 9, I play it on High graphics and it's buttery smooth.

I can confidently advise anyone to get this device.

It is not okay. If a 4000mah device can do 12hrs SOT with 20% remaining, you should expect a 5000mah device to do better. One dude was even taunting me that he loses only 10% after 4hrs with continuous surfing on his hot8 (5000mah battery same as this 9A. But I usually lose about 30% after 4hrs)

What I found strange is why most commenters and posters rarely discuss the processor of a phone as it relates to the internet speed all I see is gaming. Tell them oo. Bought the so called Xiaomi for my babe and saw hell. Phone screen became bad and to see the screen for market na wahala. The Slot I bought it from couldn't even help me. Took me 3 days to find the screen and get the phone fixed. I no go near that brand again. Meanwhile I've been using Infinix S4 since 19 April 2019 (I pre-ordered the phone). Firstly, I used the phone for 1 year and 3 months before I did the first repair which was to change broken screen. Secondly the parts are everywhere and the prices are affordable. I bought the phone for N64,500 and it cost me just N16,000 to change the screen meanwhile the Redmi 8A that I bought N34,500 then it cost me N18,000 to change the screen. I'm still using my Infinix S4 1 year and 6 months later.
