mrvitalis: You don't have idea of what it means to be in a frontline. In unconventional warfare, the ground determines how you operate. No basic formation. You guys will just be writing because you're watching too much Hollywood films. In a war situation, it takes a strong hearted individual to be able to even fire a single shot. 5 Likes |

Please is anyone experiencing transfer problem with GTB app and the USSD code. I transferred 30k since yesterday night, the recipient did not get the alert till now and I have been debited. Again this morning I tried to recharge my Airtel line and Glo line with #200 each. Both were unsuccessful. I curiously checked my GTB bank app and I discovered I have been debited with 11k for recharging my glo line. I checked my phones balance nothing like 11k in it. What's wrong with GTB please. Anyone working with the bank should please enlighten us on what is happening. |

I was talking with a colleague an igala man from Kogi state, I later discovered during our conversation that most of their igala words are almost similar to yoruba words. Interestingly, the man told me that they're closer to the south eastern part of the country than the south west.I came across below quotation from wikipedia "The Yoruba culture was originally an oral tradition, and the majority of Yoruba people are native speakers of the Yoruba language. The number of speakers is roughly estimated at about 30 million in 2010. Yoruba is classified within the Edekiri languages, and together with the isolate Igala, form the Yoruboid group of languages within what we now have as West Africa. Igala and Yoruba have important historical and cultural relationships. The languages of the two ethnic groups bear such a close resemblance that researchers such as Forde (1951) and Westermann and Bryan (1952) regarded Igala as a dialect of Yoruba" "Also Igáláà is a Yoruboid language. It is spoken by the Igala ethnic group of Nigeria. In 1989 an estimated 800,000 spoke Igala, primarily in Kogi State, though current day estimates estimate upwards of 2 million Igala speakers. Dialects include Idah, Imane, Ankpa, Dekina, Ogugu, Ibaji and Ife. The Igala is related to Yoruba with which it shares a previous common ancestor, it remains unclear when both language split, mutual intelligibility in modern times is only marginal, although the sound/tonal systems remain the same, akin to the relationship between the various daughter languages of the Romance or Slavic language families. The Idoma and Bassa people use Igala in primary schools. The Igala language, as well as Igala culture and tradition, has influenced other languages and cultures around the confluence of the Niger and Benue rivers". 44 Likes 6 Shares |

I just watched a documentary on the coronation rites of the Olu of Warri designate Prince Shola Emiko. I discovered that most of the words I heard during the rites are Yoruba words. Infact Prince Shola Emiko was referred to as Omooba Shola Emiko. Some of their traditional titles too are also Yoruba. It amazes me how diverse our beautiful country is. Same ethnic groups scattered in different parts. May God bring peace to our great nation.

The south western people have been using aso ebi since time immemorial. It was not used or picked because of profits or to make gain for their ceremonies. They used aso ebi as a symbol to unify and for people to celebrate with them. It is very disheartening now to see people, (especially people that copied the culture from the yorubas) using Aso ebi as a means of raising money. May God help us. 2 Likes |

Our soldiers have recovered and detonated uncountable numbers of IED/mines in various areas in the North East. I've never heard of any incident where there's casualties or injuries in the process of removing them. The NA Engineers actually train soldiers in performing these tasks. Even with little kits or equipment, our soldiers perform the job wonderfully. May God continue to bless our soldiers and keep them safe. Well done guys!.

Nmaudu: That's how the IPPIS operates. There will be discrepancies at the beginning but it will later normalise. All the balances of the incompleted salaries will surely be paidbin a short while. Same thing happened with other federal agencies, military and para military. Universities and Polytechnics are complaining because maybe there are some illegal or illegitimate money they collect before the introduction of IPPIS. With IPPIS, you'll collect only your salary and legitimate Allowances. Any other unauthorised money flow will be closed. |
