Since you don't have nclex yet, you can sign with any agency if you are good with their contracts.. but if I were you, I would sign with avant.. why? Avant contract is the best among the three because you can finish within 2years even before 2years.. because it's hours they count nor years..

Shearwater and interstaff contracts are 3years, you can NEVER convert to hours..

Interstaff don't pay for flight tickets when you are ready to travel for nclex which is the most expensive for the whole process..

Avant has more states for assignment than the rest, avant has more than 40states , interstaff and shearwater don't have upto 10..

Many things about these agencies that I know but it's okay to stop here.. I signed with avant and I'm always happy that I did.

It now takes 3 (three) months or more even despite any influence, you will have to wait for the mandatory three months duration. Someone who submitted hers on the 25th of November last year just got verified on the 22nd of February. I submitted mine on the 4th of December and with so many serious efforts I made to have it done earlier, I am still waiting up until now. So you really have to be very patient oo.

Avant has had many staff been working remote but are looking forward to coming back into the office around May 18, 2020 and so we are looking forward to some return to a normal work life balance. We hope the same for each of you.
We are writing with an update in processing for Nigerian nationals.

As you may be aware, in February 2020, President Trump issued a ban on immigrant visas from Nigeria due to security concerns. Initially, despite the suspension Avant decided to continue to recruit and process new applicants for the program. However, as the suspension remains unresolved and it seems no action will be taken until at least October 2020, Avant will now be suspending all recruitment and processing for Nigerian nationals effective immediately and until further notice. Should this decision change at some time in the future we will update our social media and website.

We realize this may be disappointing news for some of you, but Avant is not terminating your agreement, we are simply suspending processing until such time as Nigeria is reinstated for eligibility for immigration processing. At that time we will reevaluate processing and timelines for each RN on the program. It is important during this time that you continue to work full time to maintain Avant requirements and also continue to save funds for your process. Should anything change for you, please do not hesitate to reach out. For those of you in NCLEX you should reach out to Andrea Daniel - [email protected] with updates and Andrea will communicate with the rest of the NCLEX and Licensure Team.

My good people, now that the hope of Nclex and US migration is getting dashed and for a candidate who has studied so well and has been scheduled to write the Nclex in March wants to opt for Uk, which of the UK exams (IELTS or OET) do you think is appropriate for such a candidate considering the level of his/her level of the preparation for Nclex? And pls what is the first step to take?

Actually the ban is a great advantage to Nigeria Nurses, WHY?

Because every year, Nigeria is entitled to 4000 GREEN CARDS for specialized workers, however the country does not even meet up to 100 every year so it is usually redirected to other GREEN cards like marriage and family including the rich who buy up the remaining. In 2018 alone about 13,000 GREEN CARDS were issued to Nigerians. The same thing last year.

So the ban now will give enough room to fast process the immigrant visa for healthcare workers on reserved visa. It reduces the competition and give you a great opportunity.


Last year when this issue arose, I released information that Trump was planning to expand quota for green card and H1B for healthcare and IT workers and will shrink other green cards. I encouraged everyone to work hard to start their immigration program even when others were panicking.

Pls house, I am new here and I have just been scheduled to write NCLEX next month. I sent my visa application to the embassy in Abuja today (as I read that one can send his/her application if one is not resident in FCT) but to my surprise, the person called and informed me that I must appear in person to have my application submitted. I will like to ask if I am going to be granted interview same day my application will be submitted? and how long will it take for the embassy to issue me the visa? I need your kind assistance house.
