I am seriously conflicted. I feel the Governor should be held to task and made able, same goes to all government officials. If he's claiming he's a good honest Governor then he should let us know exactly what he does with our tax money. That's what democrary is after all or should be.

Unfortunately in Africa we are so used to do-nothing corrupt leaders that when someone comes that does something, we give them a free , and fail to question them on the basis of their good work. Consequently, they could be looting billions and goodness knows their are plenty of examples. Corruption is so rife, so how do we know they're not looting public funds? . If they're not fully ing for how tax money is spent, you have to wonder what they have to hide.

But the truth of the matter is most people won't really care as long as they think Fashola is doing some good things and I dont blame them because frankly I am sick of talking and hearing of corruption. It blights all our lifes. I would just like to see some leaders restore my faith in them and I hope Fashola turns out to be as he seems.

Actually yes I can. Though I call myself gay because my main preference is men I still sometimes find some women sexually attractive. Which I rarely act upon. Being gay is hard enough. The thing is a gay guy like myself could get together with a bi woman if we both want the same things. I'm sure a few couples are together with that understanding.

And even if I can't have children why did you assume that would get in the way of a good imagination? You may never be a Nobel prize winner but does that mean you cannot imagine being one?

Being gay myself if I should have a child that turns out to be gay I would innitially be sad for them because I would know from my own experience that their would be people out there who are scared and who would judge them and be cruel to them without knowing anything about them. I would know some people will treat them badly irrespective of how good a person they are. But all the same I would love them with all my heart and soul and teach them to stand up for themselves when they need to and always that they are not alone.

Please keep up the good discussion everyone . I am following and enjoying every post with delight. I believe majority of Nigerian pastors and Imams are crooks and yes I am sure the crooked pastors give the good ones a bad name.

From a personal perspective, my eldest sister who is one of the most greedy, money grabbing and extravagant people I know now heads a church with her husband in Lagos. She usually changes business every few years to move up to a more lucrative sector. She went to Dubai on a mad shopping spree, came back broke and immediately openned a church. She is doing well by all . I just hope she doesn't go to Dubai again too soon.

I have a friend who has a really good, humble and genuine pastor, yes they exists and are few but I think anyone who tries to deny that their are crooked pastors in Nigeria is either really naive, very innocent,  a theive or in denial or perhaps has a really unshakeable faith in the Gospel?  .

My advice would be to cut the money in half. 4 million to buy land and build a house then use some of the rest to expand your printing business but to keep a good portion for rainy days. Buying a land that cost 7 million seems a bit extreme if you don't have much money left to build on it and also maintain your business. Build something on a smaller scale if you really want to have a house. Good luck.
