It's disturbing how some people wake up every day and scour the internet like detectives—not for truth, justice, or unity—but just to find one bad news story about a particular tribe so they can say, “See? I told you they’re all like this.”

If you're one of those people, hear this: a crime committed by an individual is not a cultural trait. Your obsession with painting an entire tribe with the brush of one person's actions says more about you than about them. It shows deep-rooted bias, not concern for justice.

Tribalism dressed up as social commentary is still hate. Instead of fueling division, ask yourself: What do I gain from tearing others down?

Change your 5GHz channel to the one your Samsung galaxy phone works best on.
Go to wifi on your phone, tap the 3 dots. Tap intelligent WiFi. Scroll down and tap intelligent WiFi version 8 times till it shows you're now a developer. Tap WiFi developer options. Tap Nearby WiFi information. Tap channel utilisation and scroll down to Best channel recommendation. You'll see the 5GHz band that is recommended for your phone. Pick one. Band 153 or 157 works best.

Now go back to the router settings (not Starlink), go to your 5Ghz channel and change it from Auto to any of the recommended bands. Reboot router and your phone can now see the 5GHz band.

If the WiFi range is short, you can use another band till you get a perfect one.
Why 5GHz network shows on WiFi list once in a while is because Starlink's own is set to auto, and it refreshes every now and then, hence popping up on WiFi list briefly.

Incase you don't have any wifi Router connected to starlink, message and they'll change your 5GHz channel for you remotely.

What i said about the router is still valid - The EU version of that router will never allow you to switch to those higher channels.

Also, starlink doesn't change their router channel remotely.

And finally, the airplane mode trick still works.

EU or US version?

A common, yet frustrating way to connect to 5ghz temporary if your phone is having difficulties finding it, is to put your phone in flight mode and turn it off. Turn on the phone, turn on the wifi first, connect to the 5ghz WiFi, then turn off airplane mode.

Or use the phone permanently without sim card.

When buying this router, please buy the US version and not the EU version, so you'll not be having regrets like me.
The EU version doesn't allow you to set band 4 higher 5ghz channels which is what most Samsung devices need to allow you to connect to 5ghz wifi.


Check the carton (the area where you'll see the serial number) and you'll see where EU or US is written.
