ihatesycophant: Oga, say what you know. It is fraudulent for any company to withhold taxes of their employees. Lagos State collecte Paye(Personal Income Tax) from most private security companies operating in lagos, i have seen some their payroll system and tax records. Only corporate tax goes to the federal government. UnionBank was Barclays Bank of Nigeria Limited before government acquired 51% Government never had any stake in most of the New Generations banks. Enough . Bye 1 Like |

ihatesycophant: Private security firms guiding coys like MTN, GTB, EcoBank, Chevron, Access Bank and British International School. Remit PAYE for all staffs to state government. Which bank is under the government, apart from BOI, BOA and Federal Mortgage? You think i don't know about the Civil Service. Most of you guys get federal government job based of quota system and sentiment . How many of you can compete with private sector employees . |
![]() |
ihatesycophant: You are the one not reasoning well here. Since you can't properly construct your paragraph, let me put it down clearly for you. 1. Most private(including private security) firms remit PAYE to the State Governments and Corporate to the Federal government. 2. Private sector remit workers taxes according to the Personal Income Tax Act (PITA). (S.81 of Personal Income Tax Act Cap P8 LFN 2011) Are you saying Banks and Telco are indirectly taxing their workers? how? 3 Every federal government employees pay taxes to their state of resident. By residency rule, an employee’s PAYE is payable to the tax authority of the state of his/her residence. It is therefore the duty of the employer to deduct and remit it to the tax authority where the employee is resident. If the employee is resident in Suleja, the tax authority that is entitled to his PAYE is the Niger State Board of Internal Revenue. If he is however resident in Mararaba, the tax authority will be the Nasarawa State Board of Internal Revenue. I am 100% sure you have not worked in the Treasury department before, because if you have you won't be arguing blindly. |

sammhi: In sane country all our politicians will go to jail. But since you people singled-out Fashola and Fayemi due to your Bigoted sentiments, you successfully deflate your argument. That is why people don't take TonyeBarcanista and his Minions post serious anymore, because they always argues from thier personal sentiments. You hardly find any neutral post on NL. 6 Likes |
