Babydaddymateri: Here's a detailed explanation of the differences between induction cookers and infrared cookers: 1. Heating Mechanism Induction Cooker: Primarily relies on conduction. The electromagnetic field generates heat directly in the ferromagnetic cookware, which then conducts heat to the food inside. The induction cooktop itself remains relatively cool, as the heat is generated only in the cookware. Infrared Cooker: Utilizes infrared radiation to heat food. The heating element emits infrared waves that transfer energy to the cookware and then to the food. 2. Heat Generation Induction Cooker: Heat is generated directly in the cookware. This results in faster cooking times since the heat is applied directly where it's needed. Infrared Cooker: Heat is generated in the heating element first and then transferred to the cookware. This can lead to longer preheating times compared to induction cookers. 3. Cookware Requirement Induction Cooker: Requires cookware made of ferromagnetic materials (like cast iron or certain stainless steels) to work. Non-magnetic cookware (like aluminum or glass) will not heat up on an induction surface. Infrared Cooker: Compatible with a wider variety of cookware materials, including glass, ceramic, and metal. This versatility makes it easier to use existing kitchenware. 4. Heat Transfer Induction Cooker: Primarily uses conduction (direct between the cookware and the heating element) and convection (movement of heated air). This method is efficient and minimizes wasted heat. Infrared Cooker: Utilizes conduction, convection, and radiation. While it can cook food effectively, some heat may be lost to the surrounding environment due to the nature of infrared radiation. 5. Energy Efficiency Induction Cooker: Generally considered more energy-efficient because it heats the cookware directly, resulting in minimal heat loss. This can lead to lower energy bills and faster cooking times. Infrared Cooker: Offers moderate energy efficiency. While it heats quickly, some energy may be wasted in the process of heating the element first before cooking. Summary The choice between an induction cooker and an infrared cooker depends on your cooking needs, the types of cookware you have, and your preferences regarding speed and energy efficiency. Induction cookers excel in energy efficiency and speed but require specific cookware, while infrared cookers provide versatility in cookware options but may be slower and less efficient overall. 1 Like |

Wait a minute... ! Wait a minute... 1. Masturbation and pornography are far from the "worst" sins - countless people have engaged in these acts and still managed to live stable, productive lives. Quit treating them as moral catastrophes. 2. This nonsense about people having sex with demons is pure fantasy, not grounded in biblical teachings. Stop peddling such baseless superstitions as fact. 3. The reality is that people have committed egregious sins - sins with far more severe and damaging consequences. Yet many have still been able to recover and lead normal lives. Focus on those more substantive moral failings, not minor infractions. 4. Abstaining from certain behaviors should be about upholding your own personal dignity and ethics, not just adhering to a narrow list of "sins to avoid." Take a comprehensive approach to morality, not a checklist. 5. And let's be clear - those who have abstained from things like masturbation or porn are not inherently "better" or more virtuous. Morality isn't defined by restricting specific acts. Quit with the self-righteous moralizing. The bottom line is we need a more nuanced, rational view on sexuality and sin. Simplistic condemnations and fearmongering do far more harm than good. Show some intellectual honesty and moral humility here. 23 Likes 2 Shares |

Sami Tunji The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has disclosed that it may invest funds from Dormant s, unclaimed balances in Nigerian Treasury Bills (NTBs) and other government securities. This is according to the newly released “Guidelines on Management of Dormant s, Unclaimed Balances, and Other Financial Assets in Banks and Other Financial Institutions in Nigeria,” by the CBN. According to the new guidelines, the CBN will create and manage a dedicated called the “Unclaimed Balances Trust Fund (UBTF) Pool ” to warehouse unclaimed balances. The guidelines also mandate that the principal and any accrued interest on the investments must be refunded to the beneficiaries within ten working days of receiving a request. What the guideline is saying The guideline document read: “CBN shall treat unclaimed balances (dormant s and financial assets) as follows: News continues after this ad News continues after this ad “i. Open and maintain the ‘UBTF Pool ’; “ii. Maintain records of the beneficiaries of the unclaimed balances warehoused in the UBTF Pool ; “iii. Invest the funds in Nigerian treasury bills (NTBs) and other securities as may be approved by the ‘Unclaimed Balances Management Committee’. News continues after this ad “iv. Refund the principal and interest (if any) on the invested funds to the beneficiaries not later than ten (10) working days from the date of receipt of the request. “v. Where it is imperative to extend the timeline, a notice of extension shall be communicated to the requesting FI stating reasons for the extension.” The CBN’s guidelines stipulate several key objectives, including identifying dormant s and unclaimed balances, reuniting them with their beneficial owners, and holding these funds in trust. Eligible s and Exemptions The new guidelines define eligible s as those that have remained dormant for ten years or more. These include various types of s such as current, savings, term deposits, domiciliary s, and prepaid card s. Other financial assets eligible under these guidelines include proceeds from unclaimed financial instruments, unclaimed salaries, wages, and bonuses, among others. However, the guidelines also list exemptions. s subject to litigation, under investigation by regulatory authorities or law enforcement agencies, or encumbered s, such as those with liens or used as collateral, are excluded from these provisions. What you should know The CBN is tasked with maintaining the UBTF Pool , overseeing the management committee, and ensuring compliance with the guidelines. It is also responsible for publishing the list of owners of unclaimed balances and the procedures for reclaiming these funds on its website. In addition, the CBN is to publish an annual notice in three national daily newspapers inviting the public to check details of outstanding unclaimed balances in its custody. Financial institutions are required to monitor inactive s, notify customers of inactivity, and protect these s from unauthorized usage. They must also publish details of dormant s and transfer eligible unclaimed balances to the CBN’s UBTF Pool quarterly. Additionally, financial institutions must maintain records and publish notices regarding the process of reclaiming unclaimed balances. In cases where financial institutions are in liquidation, the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) assumes the role of the financial institution. The NDIC’s involvement ensures that unclaimed balances in liquidated institutions are managed and transferred according to the guidelines, protecting the interests of the owners and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. owners are also responsible for informing financial institutions of any changes in their personal information and submitting applications for reclaiming their funds. They must provide appropriate proof of ownership and comply with the procedures set out in the guidelines. Follow us for Breaking News and Market Intelligence.

Customs Area Controller, Apapa Command, Babatunde Olomu (3rd from left) The Apapa Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), has intercepted seven containers of contrabands including cutlass, expired drugs and some frozen chicken among others. Parading the contrabands at the Apapa Port complex today (Friday), the Customs Area Controller, Apapa Command, Babatunde Olomu, said the items were worth about N292.2 million. Olomu said “this type of importation is against schedule 3 of the revised import prohibition list of the Common External Tariff (CET) and violates section 233 of the Nigeria Customs Service Act 2023”. He said: “On Thursday, 17 July 2024, the command seized 2x40ft containers carrying 12,000 pieces of cutlass and machete; 2x40ft carrying 4,129 packages of frozen chicken; 1x40ft container carrying 368 jumbo bales of used second hand clothing; and 1x40ft container of expired pharmaceutical,” Olomu said the cutlass and matches were imported from China, the expired drugs from India and the frozen chicken were from Turkiye He said the seizures were made following a combination of intelligence and diligent enforcement in ensuring that no consignment exits Apapa Port or any terminal under the command without undergoing proper examination. He reiterated that the Apapa command would continually sustain and improve on trade facilitation and maximum revenue collection without compromising the enforcement of the extant laws as they pertain to false declaration, concealment, under declaration and under valuation. “We are also enforcing the requirements for sister regulatory agencies like National Agency for Food Drugs istration and Control (NAFDAC) in the case of food and drugs and strict implementation of the end certificate rules for products that require it from relevant authorities like the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA),” he stated. He however warned against smuggling of prohibited items and restated that the command would keep ensuring that only consignments that meet the integrity test of compliance will be allowed to go through this port either as import or export cargoes. He said the seizures would be handed over to the appropriate agencies for further investigation and regulatory action.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has recently stated his for a ceasefire in Ukraine, which includes several demands that have been met with skepticism by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the international community. Putin's demands are seen as a way to justify Russia's invasion of Ukraine and to persuade the West to make concessions on Ukrainian territorial integrity and sovereignty. Putin's Demands - Ukraine must pull out from the four regions annexed by Moscow in 2022 - Ukraine must renounce plans to NATO - Ukraine's recognition of Crimea as part of Russia - Ukraine must retain its non-nuclear status - Ukraine must restrict its military force - Ukraine must protect the interests of the Russian-speaking population - All Western sanctions against Russia should be lifted Why Putin's are Unacceptable Putin's demands are seen as a way to legitimize Russia's invasion of Ukraine and to force Ukraine to surrender its sovereignty. Ukraine's rejection of Putin's demands is seen as a way to maintain its independence and territorial integrity. The international community has also rejected Putin's demands, seeing them as a way to justify Russia's aggression. The West has imposed sanctions on Russia in response to its invasion of Ukraine, and lifting these sanctions would be seen as a way to reward Russia's aggression. Ukraine's recognition of Crimea as part of Russia would also be seen as a way to legitimize Russia's annexation of the peninsula. Conclusion Putin's for a ceasefire in Ukraine are seen as a way to justify Russia's invasion and to force Ukraine to surrender its sovereignty. Ukraine and the international community have rejected Putin's demands, and it is clear that a ceasefire will not happen unless Russia withdraws its troops from Ukraine. The conflict in Ukraine is a complex issue, and a peaceful resolution will require a comprehensive and inclusive political settlement that takes into the interests of all parties involved.
