The divulgence is contained In a letter addressed to U. D. Itiat Esq of U. David Itiat & Associates, Uyo and dated January 28, 2019, wherein the Registrar stated that the signatures of the scheduled officers, that is the Vice - Chancellor and the Registrar, on the certificate presented by Mr Isong Nya John are forged and consequently that the certificate presented by him is not authentic.

Mr Moses O Abang, the Registrar of the University of Calabar, Calabar in the letter revealed that Mr Isong Nya John, the APC candidate for the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Ini State Constituency has no certificate whatsoever from the University of Calabar.

Mr John had presented the said certificate as part of requirements to contest for a seat at the House of Assembly, Akwa Ibom state. In the certificate, now revealed to be a miserable product of poor forgery, Mr John had claimed to posses a B.SC in microbiology with a Second Class Upper Division, from the University of calabar, bagged in the year 2000.

Commenting on the development, a constitutional lawyer, Barr Uwem Jonah has explained that the candidate of the APC risk going to jail as forgery is a felony punishable under the laws of Nigeria.

He explained further that the submission of false details in the course of elections by a candidate is ground for the disqualification of the said candidate pursuant to section 31 (5) of the Electoral Act, 2010 and a grounds for election petition by section 138 (1)(a) of the same legislation.

Efforts to reach Mr John has been unsuccessful as he is neither picking his calls nor responding to text messages.

1. Accredited votes less votes cast: 601,056 - 586,137 = 14,919 (This represents the number of persons who were accredited, who collected ballot papers but for some reasons did not vote).

2. APC Votes plus PDP Votes plus rejected votes: 497,914 + 50,763 + 226,772 = 775,449. (So, without factoring in the sum of the votes of the margin parties, the votes recorded at the polls were in excess of accredited votes by 174,393. (I.e. 174,393 persons who did not even show up at the polls voted In Yobe)

According to the result announced at about 9.51pm today by Akwa Ibom State INEC REG MR MIKE IGINI, Former Senate Minority Leader Senator Godswill Akpabio has lost his reelection bid.

Akpabio, candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ikot Ekpene Senatorial district, secured 67, 487 as against 136, 373 votes for Chris Ekpenyong of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP).

According to reports Akpabio needs over 50,000 votes to retain his seat in the Senate in his Local government which he was reported to have doctored the result which has made INEC REG Mike Igini not to annouce the winner till now.

Senator Akpabio had prior to the election boasted that he will deliver Akwa Ibom to the APC under three hours, but as it stands now, he can't even deliver himself after 24 hours.
