If Mane remained in Liverpool, many people on this sports section would not rate him. They would say he is not productive. They might have said Son, Kane are better players. Soon they start showing goals scored vs goal scored by strikers. I people once argued with me that Martial and Rashford are as good (if not better) than Mane and Salah.

I am happy that Mane did not retire at Liverpool. His effort would never have been valued by many fans.

Mane was the engine room in Liveroool, this was my point last season. He is very good in the final third, but not as great in goal scoring as Salah. Mane has the ability to drop deep and carry the ball forward while Salah is a final third specialist.

What happened therefore is that Mane left goal scoring as the primary job of Salah while he took it as a secondary job in addition to helping the team's overall play from the deep. What happened is that he ed his midfielders and made them looked better than they were

This is similar to what Rooney did for Man United. When Rooney became worn out, such everage players like Anderson, Hernadez, and even good players like Nani could not fly.

Do guys still think that midfielders are the issues with Liverpool (because they are old) and not that Mane left? Is Thiago Alcantara and co not playing?

Some players are underrated. Mane played far from the front of opposition goal, being the workaholic who carried the ball and traveled with it from the deep to the final third. That link is missing.
