This is my second application.
I submitted the first application on May 15, 2021 using an RCIC consultant

got a refusal on the 9th of September 2021 after I had resumed school online. my heart sank and i managed to finish the semester full of anxiety. The goodnews was that the consultant reapplied for me free of charge and even paid for the visa fee, I count this a miracle.
The reasons were purpose of visit and financial/assets.
I have a background in civil Engineering but was moving to computing and Information systems Technology.
I also got an Applyboard scholarship for women in STEM 2021 of 15k which I couldn't include at the time because the day the documentation was sent to me, was the day I got the refusal.
I however continued my studies and ordered my GCMS the same day thinking it will arrive in time(i got it in December 2021) so I could reapply and get decision before the beginning of the winter semester 2022.

To my utmost disappointment, i waited till the 23rd of October and decided to address the concerns the best way i knew with the information i gathered here. i had an unexplained lump sum in the other application and my SOP wasn't well written. so i worked on my SOP again , included the scholarship, an affidavit of from my husband who is also my co-sponsor and paid an extra 10kCAD into my student . at the end of the semester i sent my transcript via webform and the waiting began...

i ed for winter semester hoping that i will get a response before then or even defer my ission if it didn't come. when the semester was to begin BC went back in person and i couldn't continue studying so i requested for a deferral but was shocked to hear that i couldn't defer as a continuing student and i am not allowed a study leave . At that point i lost hope because i was advised to withdraw from all my courses since i wasn't on ground (i had missed the deadline for dropping courses and getting a 100% refund) and i got only 50% of the tuition i paid back. The winter semester began and ended and i hadn't gotten a decision yet.

I cried, fasted and prayed then got to a place i did nothing. i sent mailssssssssssssss and webforms which got no response at all. ed MP s, Sean Fraser and everyone i could but nothing happened. i then decided to go back to my normal life and let God do His thing. and today i got the news...... (my school resumed today and i withdrew from all my courses last night so as not to risk my 50% tuition again)

God who did it for me will do it for everyone in line for this goodnews. especially people that applied since October

Good afternoon everyone,

Please is anyone familiar with York university refund policy.
I have a friend who applied to two schools, Seneca university and York university but she got York university ission offer earlier than Seneca, so she used York to apply for a study permit.
In the process of waiting for a visa she got an offer from Seneca, seeing as York is expensive than Seneca she made up her mind to attend Seneca. But so as not to complicate issues here, she didn't notify irccc about her change.
Note: she didn't pay any tution fee until after she was given the study permit, so as not to be disturbed at the point of entry she just paid about 600 thousand naira out of approximately 7 million naira tution. But paid the full tuition fee for Seneca.
To cut the long story Short, she got to Canada and notified irccc about her change of institution and also requested a refund from York, because she didn't want to attend the school.
But when York refunded the fee they refunded 125,000 naira out of 600,000 naira
Is there anything she can do about it, because she didn't even start classes before requesting for a refund
Please guys I need your input on this.
I already read their refund policy and it was stated, there would be a full refund

Congratulations!!!!! Yes you need to pay transmission fee and DHL fee if you didn't do your biometrics in Abuja but if your biometrics was done in Lagosand you intend sending to Lagos VFS for stamping then you will just pay for DHL services

Omo!! I just finished from work, and I’m still shaking… I’ve started compiling all my documents submitted and my story lol … will post them tomorrow morning because I wanna confirm each document submitted from laptop.

I plan to send my port to Abuja tomorrow morning, I know the steps, I just need to confirm if the 9k is for DHL, or I still need to pay another amount separately to DHL.

For upfront medicals you must book an appointment date. They will attend to you if you get medicals request by IRCC. But you can try walking in as everyone has different levels of grace...

hello, her old dli ission has not been terminated but it expires this September. For a reapplication would she have to go through same exact process. Proof of funds and all that?

University Of Windsor, Master Of Medical Biotechnology, Fall, 2021. My dad is my sponsor and I paid the compulsory CA$4k tuition deposit. My monthly salary is #87,500 and I attached 3 months payslip and 6months MBS of salary acct. Bin working in a community pharmacy since December 2018 and I also attached a reference letter from my employer.

-Sponsor's personal bank statement: 19.5m
-My own statement: 4.3m (4.1 from my sponsor as living expenses and I had 200k)
-Sponsor's landed property (like 10) and I claimed itz worth over 300m (no evaluation)
-I did a deed of gift from my sponsor to me, for a piece of land, and I back dated to April 2018, so I claimed my sponsor gave me as a graduation gift, since I graduated in Sept 2017.
-CAC docs of sponsor's companies, with one being a good hotel which I claim itz over 200m, and also noted in my SOP dat i own a 10% shares with docs to back it.
-UK travel history and old visas with the last expired 2yrs which I ddnt evn use.
- I schooled in Cotonou, Benin Republic, So I added the stamps too.
-My siblings; First as a director in one of my dad's company, I am d 2nd, 3rd as manager in anoda of my dad's company, 4th, a recent graduate from a private uni in Nigeria (Nothing to d claims, jst family pics in Naija, UK and my pics at work wearing my white coat)
-I flaunted my sponsor well!!!!!!
-My SOP was really directed to Nigeria and Africa. I talked abt how much we are dependent on imported medicines, and how we were handicapped during the pandemic, since our major importers, India and China couldn't export bcuz the covid hit dem so badly. I talked abt our drug importation of over $500m in 2018 and expected hike of over $1bn in year 2030 and compared it to our export of only $800k (With reference links).
-I talked about the AfCFTA which is signed already and how it will be good for manufacturing should be accelerated in Nigeria....Nd also, how I can easily export across Africa since my father is a freight forwarding mogul and how this will contribute to my country's GDP.

I got 4 US F-1 visa denials, ans the last one was in November, 2020. Same biotechnology course, but issues av been that I wasn't well informed, I was using my dad's corporate bank statement. I jst see say v.o go dey gbadun my speech for interview, dem go say mk I bring bank statement, if I just show dem, dem go say "sorryy....". One time sef, my port sleep embassy, e no still come back wit Us Visa......Aiye le o!!!! Datz y I jst used personal statement now as I got more informed!
