Buddhist don't have special day of for sabath .. It Buddhist holy days recognized in Thailand (and I think in most all Buddhist places but not sure) are based on the phases of the moon...they occur on the full and new moons and at the "half moons" (two of them) between the new and full moons. This means that almost every week will have a holy day but it will change as to which day of the week it is and about every 7 or 8 months or so (I've not figured it out exactly) you will have a week with no holy day in it at all..

My dogs are dying . I was given a grown dog. Not a full breed German shepherd, but a good security and lovely pet at 11 months. After a few weeks, I also bought a cross breed german / rottweiler mix pup. She was gorgeous. The bigger dog was fully vaccinated . when she entered heat, I took her to a vet for crossing. By the time she came back, she was sick. Loss of appetite and very high aggression. She was being treated and was on physiological iv infusion. The mixed pup died all of a sudden without sign. But the older dog showed signs of remission. Had better appetite, but totally rejected dog foods. I bought last week, a pure breed rottweiler. The grown dog just died a few minutes ago and I'm scared to my bones of the possibility of the second pup dying off. Note that I took these dogs to the vet. I'm really sad and in despair. I love my dogs so much and seeing them dying off like this is killing me. I think my vet is incompetent . I need different opinions and a possible prophylaxis for my rott pup. Thanks

cramjones: I have read this book and the previous book the author wrote. It is a thing of pride to know that Nigerians excel in every endeavor all over the world not just the United States. That said, while I agree with the cultural aspects the author pointed out, I make bold to say that those factors only contributed probably about 50% of what makes Nigerians successful.

Nigerians that come to the United States are self-selected. They are often times among the best and the most resilient Nigerians. They had to take exams, win scholarships, their transcripts, get great GPAs from their Nigerian Universities to make it to the US, and even then, had to go through a visa interview that even further accesses their potential to succeed in the US etc. They are those that naturally seek for excellence and since their inept government created an environment were this excellence remains herculean at best to achieve, they go on to seek it in other climes where talents and potentials can be explored and developed. These Nigerians ultimately excel and become successful in the United States. This to me is what make Nigerians successful.

My dream is to have a Nigeria where these talents can find a space to come back to Nigeria to build our country from the ruins of the GEJ and other previous istrations. We have a chance, We have APC! Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria
