Nigeria is like a Restaurant. GEJ a Chef/CEO. Nigerians are the restaurant owner/customers.

Some customers said the chef, GEJ is not cooking well. He is wasting ingredients. He is a bad chef. He is stealing the money meant for restaurant and that the cost of eating in the restaurant is high.

They regrouped and changed new Chef, Buhari. Instead of the new chef cooking well, he started blaming the former chef ( GEJ ) of his inability to cook properly despite employing his new staffs. With this new chef (Buhari), Nigerians - customers who were eating full plate with meats during the former chef ( GEJ ) time , started eating half plate without meat.

ii) Dependency on import . Our inability to produce our least consumables which put the more power on import. Dollar been a legal tender to the outside markets demand soared. As basic economics the higher demand affects prize ( inflation) and supply ( scarcity )

The solution is first finding out the monetary policies that made dollar availability scarce. Actively curbing importation by looking and investing in most things we are importing and producing them locally. Accepting only Naira in trades like Russia did with Rubles vs Dollar last year. Raw material should not be exported. The investors should come down here to work with it. Less borrowing from international financial bodies. Paying back loans in bonds/mortgages of 5-10 years maximum. Putting the right personnel and making executives follow due process than rubber stamping every financial transaction. Using alternative means of legal tenders to by Dollar. Trading dollar with golds and crude should be stopped.
