Hello Bro, All our ports and BRP email arrived same day, but the other TLS email on application being returned came at different times. If there are no issues with your dependant application and you've not got any refusal email up till now, there's a very high chance that you and your family already have a visa and BRP. It's only a matter of time before you have them in your hands. Then Congratulations to you are in order 🎉 However, I've come to realise that the system is not perfect and as such you may experience delays here or there. Don't let it worry you too much, it's well. zieraw2005: |

We thank God o! Unfortunately, initially I didn't even submit proof of work and it didn't occur to me until I started reading and watching other people's experience online. I guess that was why the NSF and Sheffield Email didn't come as a surprise to me. I only showed TB Cert, Degree Cert, ission Letter/CAS, POF using my Naira salary and Domiciliary . Since our applications were tied together, I believe that was the reason my family got the NSF mail and I got the request for additional documents to explain what I've been doing since graduating, 10+ years ago. Lesson learned! Since the letter says I should include verifiable documents (employment letter, payslips etc) and shouldn't just put up a CV. I decided to put together a statement of activities in a chronological order from NYSC to Date. At the end of every paragraph or statement on what was done or achieved, I slid in a reference to the attached ing document. 1. NYSC Certificate 2. Employment Confirmation or Employment Letter where available 3. Statement of Employment Benefits/ Investments and how it ties to my proof of funds 4. 6 months to 1 year Payslips covering the employment period refered to in the statement (Over kill??) 5. Certificate of Completion of Certifications/Trainings (with photos where available to any statement on achievements) 6. Enrollment Letters or Certificate of hip of Professional Bodies 7. Company ID Cards for each period 8. Same Proof of funds submitted during original application because it was referred to in my statement (maybe another over kill, I didn't want to hear that ernnn they didn't see the POF in the original application sha) 9. Deed of Conveyance and pictures of properties in our names (since I mentioned that I plan to return) 10. Alot of ing prayers ![]() Hope this helps! God bless! Globalshaper: 2 Likes |

Dear Gurus in the house, Please has anyone experience a case where you only get a TLS email that your application is being returned and a DHL text that your port will be delivered in 24hours (student visa for a family of 4) without any email from UKVI on spelling out the outcome of the application (whether refused or approved)? Please in your experience what could this mean? The suspense of not knowing can make one loose his/her mind.

MatrixReloaded: Many thanks for your response. 1. All the money going into the have come mostly from salary. So, hope if I attach my 6 months payslips as evidence, and other proof of funds, it will suffice? 2. On the SOA, thanks, this is well noted. At first, I was afraid that having a range of funds (although sufficient to cover all expenses) was going to be a challenge. Thanks again for the clarification. 3. Unfortunately, I am applying for the normal 15 - 20 days student visa in Abuja. I hope I can still pay for the walk-in service? Many thanks for the response. Much appreciated. |

Good morning All. Pls has anyone had this experience of having used a statement of that had a range of funds within the 28 days period and not a constant amount? I am asking because for dependants POF, we plan to use another that has had between a min of #27M to #29M max between May to July 2023. Current bal is #28M. Pls experienced hands in the house, help me answer this pls. Will this fly for dependant UK Student Visa under the 28 days rule considering current realities? Pls also help me confirm if I can still pay for walk-in by Tuesday if I submit my application on Monday. Many thanks. |

I am eager to see when people will realise that the value of your wedding ceremony does not necessarily translate to marriage bliss. It's foolhardy to spend all that money on preparing for a days event when you have a marriage and home to build all in the name of impressing people/show off. As a man, never try to impress people that won't matter when the chips of life are down and always live within your means no matter what they say. No matter what the girl's parent or yours or friends and family will think or say of you, never allow them pressure you into staging a wedding you cannot or do not want to afford. A word they say is enough for the wise. 3 Likes |

I understand how you feel especially when you have worked real hard to achieve a set goal and the reality that you may never achieve it hit you hard. Now, you have to put things in perspective and not be too hard on yourself. Will a 4.0+ CGPA get you similar scholarships that a 4.2 - 4.4+ CGPA can? You damn right it can. Will it surely guarantee you a dream job that will bring in the big bucks (earning not less than 6 figures)? Absolutely not. Success in today's world goes beyond academic intelligence and excellence. You need be equipped with winning survival attributes/qualities and skills to make it big. I always like to use myself as an example I graduated with less than a 4.0+, not because I didn't work hard, still I didn't let that phase me one bit. While the 4.0s and 5-pointers of my days were busy globe trotting from one Ivy League School to another, I was busy building my professional skills/experience and qualities/attributes, as a local champ is concerned. ![]() Long story short. At the end of the day, I still ed most of them in the same industry and for some, we are even working in the same MOC. So Bro, chin up. You're on the right track. 4.2 and even 4.0 is not bad grade to build on. Keep working hard and don't put all your eggs in your acada basket, if you know what I mean. Las Las you'll be alright. 4 Likes |

kpac77: Guys! Guys!! Guys!!! For crying out loud, this is just a thread and not any company's website. Do not come here and submit your 1-2 liner job application and expect a response. With due respect to the IOC professionals that have contributed to this thread so far; majority of them do not have the power to offer you a job outside the HR recruitment policy and procedures of their respective organisations. They can only offer you very useful career coaching; how you use the info is totally up to you. I stumbled on this thread about the same time I was working towards an Msc degree and took my time to read from the very first page to the last. I learnt a lot of things from the contributions from my Seniors in the house and today I am better for it. So before you jump-in, take the time and read through the thread, you'll find out that a lot of your questions have already been answered. Cheers! 4 Likes 1 Share |

Op, I quite understand your situation. However, you need to put things in perspective. Firstly, think about it, do you have a better alternative? If not, I'll suggest you weather the storm and leverage on this opportunity to learn something outside mechanical engineering. You'll be surprised where/how the experience will become an added advantage to you. I can never forget how I spent almost a year (due to strike) working without pay throughout my IT period and another 6 months after graduation working for a small firm also without kudi. The hours were long and conditions weren't rewarding or motivating. It wasn't until I went for my first job interview that I realised that the training and experience had placed me light years ahead of most of my peers. Fast forward to today, by God's grace it has placed me where I'm now enjoying the fruit of my labour. In conclusion, stay humble, chin up and make the right sacrifices today so that you can enjoy a rewarding tomorrow. , its only in the dictionary that success comes before work. 1 Like |

I will be needing 12 Turkish External Security Steel Doors and 36 Internal Doors (toilet, kitchen & rooms) in the next few months in Port Harcourt. Do you have a show room in Phc I can visit?

johnson232: Thanks for your response. Its length is about 19800mm and a 11700mm wide (hope I got the unit right). He wants to do an insitu concrete parapet instead of premould because he feels it is more durable. Since, I am going to stagger the finishing work by several months, he is proposing the use of hard wood due to its salvage value and ability to keep workers safe even after been beaten by heavy rain. Do you still think his bill is fair? |

Greetings, Apologies for derailing. Since I am so far away from my project site, I would really use some expert opinion on my case. Please I would like to seek expert opinion on the bill that I just received from my builder this morning with respect to the Completion of Roofing for a building containing 3units of 3Bed room (standard) flat in PHC. The details are shown below; Scaffolding Job: 1. Hard Wood a. 2x3x12 (200x300) = 60,000 b. 2x4x18 (200x900) =180,000 c. 2x4x12 (50x400) = 20,000 2. Greetings distinguished ladies & gentlemen, first of all, let me apologise in advance for derailing this thread. I really do need the input and comments of professionals in the house. I am currently involved in building 3 units of 3 bedroom flat on about a plot around eneka, Phc. We are currently completing the block work on the first decking. Although the builder has been responsible for paying for labour/supervision, materials, i have been really uneasy about the cost of labour and materials. The builder claims that the high cost is due to the bad road network to the site and cost of materials especially in port harcourt. The fact that I have been away from the state for so long has also not helped. So far, the building has gulped over 7mil (including labour, materials and supervision fees). The breakdown is shown below; 1. Substructure/foundation = 2, 100, 000 2. Block work to lintel = 1, 600, 000 3. 1st Deck = 2, 100, 000 4. 1st storey block work to lintel = 1, 550, 000 5. Electrical and plumbing pipes (ground floor and 1st floor) = 210, 000. Grateful, if anyone with the port harcourt experience can be of assistance, cause the builder is insisting on 2.1m and 1.5m for the next decking and block work to lintel respectively. |
