I've seen cars which are not honda having such issue.You can only experience such when you don't give much attention to your car or the substandard parts been used.Whenever you heard any strange noise,call your mechanic and check.Don't prolong it.What might have happened here is that the owner might had been hearing the noise and later stopped.Bothered not to check it.

dude, that engine is over scarce. Ive sourced for it in whole Abuja, Kaduna and went to Onitsha i didnt find any unit. Dealers were asking 650-700k so they'll import and bring it for onward installation.

One can only source for new one.That engine can't be source from america cos that model is made from japan and I believe the owner might had searched and searched.He couldn't find the engine before placing the car for sale.

You are 100% wrong. The only thing Gazzuzz may be wrong on is the price which may likely have increased due to recent dollar brouhaha. As at last year when Gazzuzz and I were in oyingbo to source for the engine, we did not find a single one available despite Gazzuzz's tenacity and numerous people resources. The one of 300/350k is a fake R20 engine (basically a civic R18 engine, which looks physically identical to the R20, they just file off the 18 and stamp 20, though Gazzuzz was able to detect this right away, or the 'worked' one which is when the oyingbo chaps merge components from the R18 and R20 engine)

The engine is NOT available and definitely not affordable.

What engine is your car using?
If your electrician has cut and ed wires in a book haram bomb style, DONT, if your engine intake has leaks on the hose, DONT, if none of these are present, drive the car for a while to warm up the engine, then take the car to a reputable car wash centre to steam/pressure wash the engine, start the car again to allow it heat up well and pressure wash the engine to rid it of dirt and dust.

, a very dirty oil and mud stained engine and radiator will affect even heat distribution to the engine and proper cooling/age of air thru the radiator fans.

Please do fix the thermostat back and replace the radiator with the exact part required.Bro!Always replace item with the exact item you replaced.Hope your car engine is still okay.

On behalf of all who made comments, i wish to apologise for our collective sense of humour. We believe that a constant reader of this section should have known better by now. If you never knew, common sense should have told you that the manufacturer of the car isnt crazy for not putting a double cell radiator from factory or delete the thermostat from factory if it were actually a bad thing to the car.

If the mechanic didnt understand the use of those things, find a mechanic who does. If you dont, next the mechanic will tell you is you dont need tires to drive your car and if you complain of bad mileage, he may advice you to put things like camphor or salt in your fuel tank!!!

99% of Nigerian mechanics dont know how a thermostat operates and definitely dont know its fucntion. Technology is getting better and newer cars would not tolerate the abuse. If mechanics dont know and dont seek to know, motorist should know or atleast seek to know what happens under the hood.
