We will never learn as a country and we will learn the hard way. All these paid journalist should allow the NFF work or we play into their hands again. No homebase coach has the experience and managerial skill for now to take us to the world cup. May the soul of Amodu and Keshi rest in perfect peace. They really worked hard before been appointed and they succeeded. I can never forgot Bcc lions of Gboko in the Caf winners cup neither forget Togo national team qualification journey to the world cup All these wicked journalist should allow these ego filled local (94set) player/agent/coach to work hard with a clubside first or small country national team and earn there respect before auctioning them to SE. We have been through this road before, appointing them again will do more damage than ever before. Goke7: 4 Likes |

He has decided to keep mute but let a foreign coach be employed and see him lead the gangsters again with crude and rudimentary epistle that is not far from racism.

Very well said. In my own opinion they were the foot soldier of the insanely corrupt glass house . They had 12 billion naira to spend to make the SE a global brand but they only desire in mediocrity so as to enrich themselves. I dont want to say much. lovewins: |

What a day to behold! A stitch in time saves nine. Good riddance to mediocrity of the highest order. SE will be great again. 2026 world cup here will come. |

Patriotism isn’t always about local solutions. Patriotism is about wanting the best for the country even if the solution is foreign while also closing the recognized gaps and improving on the local solution to be at par with foreign solutions. Our local media and NPFL apologist damaged SE. 12 Likes |

Maybe or maybe not...but without sentiment and beclouded eyes it was all there for the naked eye to see. The fans played into the hands of the corrupt NFF. They had close to 12b to spend and the second place money from afcon on a very good gaffer[ but took Nigerians on a very long journey of appointing a rookie, that has absolute no knowledge of football formations and tactics but only fixated to playing homebase that would cross the imaginary ball to a tall striker to head home as if the opposition came with a mattress to sleep on the field. quote author=mank1234 post=130405925] Prophet Dijon[/quote] 2 Likes |

The below was on the 7th June 2024 dijon: "Allow you do your job" has cost you a win in your first real official match. This mentality will not take him far in SE. You dumped a very top player in Boniface that is ability is not in doubt on the bench and started a Onuachu that fans have never liked his football with SE and you have the temerity to tell fans to Allow you do your job. Nigeria coaches and that statement is like 5 and 6. You started kelechi that is terribly off form...I can't if Kelechi has played upto 4 matches this year 2024 with Leicester City. You took Tanimunu to play central defence, and Bassey to play left back so as to please your bosses that want to sell players and when it boomerang on you, you switched Tanminu ro right back, Osayi to left back and turned SA to prime Brazil in the first half. Finidi is not the manager that will qualify SE to the world cup. Directionless NFF should relive him now before it's too late...too many elementary decision making in playing selection and formation. I predicted maximum 2 point in the two matches because of all what I have seen and observe from the end of Afcon mid February to the 30th of April 2024. SE will not beat Benin with Finidi in charge...he does not have it all...too inexperienced. He is already cracking. |

The below was on the 31st May 2014. dijon: THE RETURN OF THE ERA OF CALCULATOR IN SE QUALIFICATION MATCHES. Observation: Bafana Bafana has always been a tough juggernaut for the SE of recent. It has always been either they beat us at home or we barely escape with very slim margin/victory in competitions played out of Nigeria (Afcon). Coupled with this abysmal preparation( inexperienced gaffer, withdrawals and debutant call ups) and playing a prepared, tested and refined SA team, its going to be a very long night for SE in UYO. My verdict: This two matches came too early for the gaffer and there is nothing he will add to the playing style of the SE but only a disted, chaotic display and SE will only take one point from six maximum point in the June matches and this will be the albatross not qualifying for the World Cup. |

Say bye bye to World Cup... football is not won by been sentimental or emotions.... The world cup qualifying was sold immediately after afcon by the directionless NFF and home based advocate. Bafana Bafana looks like a joke abi...we gonna learn in a very hard way. Stop playing politics with manager and player selection with SE. It's gonna be a very long night for SE. Sack Finidi now not after Benin match...we can still salvage 2nd position. Finidi has northing to offer. He is so inexperienced and is posture does not command intelligence. |

Lamentation galore...... Football analysis is not by sentiment or emotional attachment..... I saw it coming with the shenanigans of the NFF and some Homebase advocate journo....its gonna be a very long nite for the SE and its faithfuls. Zero your mind from qualifying for this world cup, its already sold immediately after Afcon with the appointments made and call ups. Way forward is to relieve Finidi immediately after this match...do not wait for Benin match to take him off. 4 Likes |

The SA team is a joke to you abi!. Ore, we talking about Snr men National team football and not clubside or bunch of debutant. If Finidi used that line up kiss world cup qualifying bye bye. SE at his best find it extremely difficult to beat Bafana Bafana even with Victor not to talk of this appalling preparation and rudderless NFF. For me I wish SE goodluck but am not expectant of 6 points..maybe 1 or 2 points maximum to salvage the damage already in the air. Then, probably when we get ourselves together with good and proper preparation and call ups the next qualifying matches can be better with slips from SA. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

THE RETURN OF THE ERA OF CALCULATOR IN SE QUALIFICATION MATCHES. I observe from a distance the shenanigans adopted by the NFF after reclaiming our position as a very top country in Afcon. Firstly, it took the NFF rocket science to appoint a substantive manager to manage the SE after the debacle of plethora of seasoned applicants applications received. Secondly, the preparation towards the crucial and very important two world cup qualifying matches to take place in June is pathetic, disturbing and demoralising. All manners of quick fix and emergency call ups flying about. New fresh legs (debutant) invited to play a Bafana Bafana team that has been on the rise for two years now and playing together like a team and dangerous unit not to talk of a Benin republic team that has about 4 Nigerian players and a technical bench full of vengeance. NOTE: Please this is my personal opinion from a mindset free from emotional sentiment after I have carefully listened to the NFF and study what transpired right from the end of the Afcon in mid February to May 31st 2024 in relation to the NFF,appointment of a new manager, selection of players, withdrawals and emergency call ups. 1 Like |

Oga, did Amuneke played possession football to lose 4 out 6. Did Amuneke play possession football in Egypt to lose 3 straight matches before been booted out? Oga did Amuneke play possession football with the U.20 when wacked at home by Sudan. Oga if you are an agent please let us know. Better Nff go along with Finidi than appoint Amuneke. He is an overated fellow nothing great about is Cv to warrant him been SE coach or do you think we are playing U.17 football match?. TheGoodJoe: 2 Likes |

Put yourself in Sadiq issue. Imagine as a senior lawyer in your law firm and your boss motioned an intern to handle a brief of a big client and found you not competent to even bring up an idea or write a memoir on the case. How would you feel? Is that not diminishing and disrespectful to you that your service is not needed in the law firm and that you are a wack.

Guy not sis. Though confidential but its out there....only because he is a principled and gentle man that respect contract otherwise he would have confirmed it himself. Only the President can change his stand but on concrete binding conditions and agreement. Princezibk: 1 Like |

He got himself a better contract elsewhere and he is happy with it though its still an agreement in principle. He was not happy with the way Nigerians treated him, his contract issues, insults from NFF that do not even know tactics or organisation of football and journalist. charlesemeka85: 2 Likes |

Negative spirit fans and home based journalist practically gave him mental issue and cant cope with our negativity as people. His contract ends on sunday and he is not renewing it. We will win Afcon as he promised but we not qualifying for the World Cup. ChrisKels: 1 Like 1 Share |
