Currently doing a one year master program in new Brunswick, canada. Which means I will only get a one year work permit, what else can I do to stay back.

Due to essential purpose being the one of the reasons why one can be granted entrance into Canada. How can I show paper works that internet provided by service providers in Nigeria won't be efficient to study online here in Nigeria.

Hello Deveid,

Prior to the completion of your Graduate Certificate (often referred to as PGD/C) you can then go for a Master on the grounds that you already possess a first degree.

Thanks, but the reason for going for Graduate certificate now is because of the low cgpa of 2.8/5. And most school say you must possess a 3.00/4.33 in a degree program and not a certificate program.

If I am in you shoes after considering all cons and pros I have to pick ission in another school that is ready to start earlier than Sept and transfer from your previous school to another one because No one knows what the immigration rules will turn out to be.

I don't have ission is any other school or do you know any other school that I can apply to that's resuming before September and offers a MSC in computer science or any other MSC in the field of IT?

I recently got my port stamped but the school resumes September 2020, is it possible to go to Canada around February and while away time.

Visa is issued, and has been sent to vfs Abuja, do I have to pay money to collect my Visa even after i still did biometric in Abuja office. I submitted my port for stamping the same place I didn't biometric, and they're asking for 15k to collect port, is that how it's done....just want to be sure

I have been asked to submit my port, my port expires Jun 2021 but the duration of my course is from September 2020 to September 2021.....Should I submit my port like that knowing it expires Jun 2021.

Upon the issuance of the visa, as long as its valid, you can facilitate your entry to Canada where at the port of entry your study permit will be issued to suit your ission intake.

So, for as long as you have a valid visa and a new ission letter, you can easily change your program intake by updating the new issions letter in your gckey online .

I understand but what I'm trying to avoid is after submitting this updated letter for September 2020 now won't the embassy issue a Visa that's valid beginning for june 2020 and if that happens and another school gives me ission for January 2020 then the ission for January 2020 would've been a waste then.

Why try to stress yourself. You can submit the new updated ission letter for September 2020 and during the wait for a decision from the embassy, you can apply to other schools for possible January 2020 intake.

But won't the embassy issue a Visa that's valid for September 2020. And when they do it would not mean anything even if I get a school that resumes January

I have done the medicals requested by the embassy. But the ission letter I submitted was for fall 2019 but now the embassy said is asking for a new ission letter dated at least January 2020 upwards. The school has given me an updated ission for September 2020 but I am looking to apply to another program ('Msc computer science )which will resume January 2020.

1. If I get another school which will resume January will the embassy accept the new ission letter from a different school?

2. Does anyone know any MSC computer science program still open for application to resume January 2020

Yes if your visa is still valid till September 2020. Your visa is just for entry and exit. Your study permit will be issued to you at POE and it will start from the day you arrive Canada. Just make sure your visa is still valid.

Assuming its valid till September 2020 and I go September 2020, it would expire at that September but the program is 2 years and which means it would have expired at the point of my end of program. How do I make that work considering you said it must be valid at the point of exit also.
