Mamaiyanu:
Please is there anyone using their previous B1/B2 visas gotten before pregnancy to go and give birth recently? I have a valid US visa and I have travelled with it twice before. Can I use it to give birth? If not, what are my options? Do I send letter of intent or do I request for another interview?
Please help guys
I'm sure you'll be fine. Don't bother sending the letter of intent, you'll just be drawing unnecessary attention to yourself neither should you bother requesting for another interview. Just do the necessary preparations before leaving naija, like getting doctor and hospital appointments, evidence of funds to show you can afford paying your bills, adequate accommodation arrangements etc

Goid say everyone. I hope you’re all doing well.
Please I need guidance from mamas who are versed in or have traveled from Lagos to US for birth tourism
1) Does it matter at port of entry whether you’re showing or not? And will it be easier if one goes before belly is showing
Baby is due in February, but I most likely will give birth in January as i will be going for an elective CS and was wondering about traveling in November or in December at 30 -34weeks
2) How soon can one travel back to nigeria after giving birth? Is 6 weeks after realistic or is this dependent on doctors approval
3) What are the documentations does one need to show at Point of entry?
4) Any suggestions on good and affordable hospital options will really be appreciated as I dont have anyone at the US.
My advice to everyone going for birth tourism is to be prepared and answer all questions truthfully.
In preparedness:
Get in touch with a hospital and a doctor and get correspondence from them showing that you have booked an appointment with them and that the would accept you when you come.
Have evidence to show that you can pay your bills, either you have the cash physically or you have it in an that you can show.
Have evidence of accommodation, either a hotel, short let, family member or friends.
It has been discussed here that CBP officials in some point of entries are more lenient than others.
Try and read up here,it will help you a great deal

Ur baby is a US citizen. Tell the hospital case manager that u will like to apply for Medicaid. Do not let the hospital con u into paying out of pocket.
NICU bill will drown u. It’s ur baby’s entitlement. U, the parent doesn’t have to be a US citizen to do that. Ur baby is a citizen. There are so many Mexican immigrants that utilize Medicaid and they are not even PR. U have to be informed to know the way.
U can also call Medicaid urself or go to their office nearest to u. Just put it on google map. Goodluck and pray for ur baby. Wishing u the best
Do this and kiss your us visa renewal bye bye. I can guarantee you that if you follow this route, you'll never be issued another us visa. To the best of my knowledge Medicaid is for tax paying us citizens

Hi,
Regarding the cost of delivery in Maryland
Used Holy Cross Hospital in Silverspring and OBGYN was Dr Block/office is capital women's care silver spring. I called the OBGYN office- faxed OBGYN letter from Nigeria and appointment was scheduled. They put me in touch with the Holy cross people.
Cost breakdown:
Hospital cost: elective C section $7K + Baby's cost ($4.5k) (before delivery you pay deposit $6-7K for mother and $1.5k for baby)
The baby's cost was the surprise bill. After $1.5k deposit received a bill for $3k nursery fees for healthy baby. Did not ask for clarification- I just paid
Anesthesia: $1K.
OBGYN: Pregnancy package up to 6 weeks postpartum $2750 (does not include first visit $130, labs $460)
Pediatrician visit: $100
Budget $15-17K for Maryland.
Based on previous discussion here if I can correctly,Maryland is an expensive place to give birth. It was advised then that if you live in a border town or city, you should explore hospitals in neighboring states and it's better for them to give you cost upfront instead of waiting after having your baby and being slammed with some outrageous and ridiculous bill

Good morning house, please am new here and i will like any kind hearted one to please advice me on this,2022 after my first trimester before i knew that i was pregnant lol so along the line the pregnancy became complicated so i applied for emergency but i did not get an earlier date all dates that i was seeing were 2024 i tried to pull all strings but noting change so i now left all to God to take the wheel.Sept was my EDD and baby was about come and my life and my baby's life was in line hmmm but with GOd with me we both survived it and i return the praise and glory to God.so recently i got a mail from the embassy reminding for my appointment for 20224 please what should i do ?should i go and appear at the interview and say what?please help me if you think is a good idea to appear on the appointment day.thank you...
I would advise you still attend the interview since you've already paid for it,it makes no sense to forgo the interview. You could say you are going for vacation,if you decide to go that route make sure you do your homework and make adequate plans, for example, places you'll be visiting, accommodation arrangements etc and most importantly have good home ties

hello, really hoping I can find someone with a recent experience of giving birth in the US maybe 2022/23. I’m a South African married to a Nigerian man and we’d like to give birth in the US. What happens if you already have a visa valid for 10 years but haven’t travelled yet, then decide to use it for childbirth later. I’ve read threads talking about changing intent again? Do they really let you go through POE despite stating you’re there for child birth? It seems like a nerve wracking experience would love to hear from someone who has recently given birth there recently thank you 🙏🏽
There are numerous s of people that have given birth in 2022/2023 here, just go back a bit and read. I don't think you would have any issues if you already have a 10 year visa and want to proceed on a maternity journey to the USA.
Emphasis should be on: Did you get the visa while you were pregnant and you didn't declare your pregnancy? If no,then proceed in getting a doctor's correspondence showing that you already have an appointment, making necessary accommodation arrangements and of course have proof to show that you are financially able to pay whatever bill you incurred. I think once the above is covered you can boldly tell them at point of entry that you are there to give birth

In the spirit of giving back, I would like to share my POE experience.
I was nervous that he didn’t stamp my
port and I was going to go back to ask but then I saw the people that were on the queue before me and when I asked they said their ports weren’t stamped.
I also that while waiting on the line, I didn’t see him stamp the ones that went before me. I don’t know if this is a new system coz the last 2 times I visited USA in 2019 and 2020, I was stamped in for 6 months.
Anyways, I got my luggage and headed home.
MD is freaking cold- I honestly underestimated it but thank God for my host.
Wishing everyone well and trusting God for testimonies on this thread.
Thanks for sharing your experience. I had experienced my port not being stamped before. Most probably you are permitted to stay for 6months and he would have noted it in his computer. There's actually a website where you can check by filling in your port number, but I can't it now

That’s why I said “E go hard”. Not impossible BUTTTTT very very hard. She straight up lied. That’s misrepresenting and we all know that is one of the gravest visa errors to commit. One of my family that didn’t lie, but supposedly overstayed (stayed in the US for 2.5 months) still never get visa till today. 5 denials and counting.
What do you mean by she supposedly overstayed for 2½ months? How many months was stamped on her port at the point of entry?

I don't think you should have applied again after your refusal this September.
Leave it alone for at least a year. The visa is for you not your kids, visas are privileges you are not banned so relax. Try again in a years time besides your kids can vacation anywhere else.
If you want to look back at the interview then after they asked about you seeking medical treatment then you could have said you might consider giving birth in the future but this trip is for a vacation.
Now it doesn't matter, keep your receipts and try again next year. You didn't seek medical treatment on your first visit, you did on your second and third. You declared at POE both times. You paid your bills.
Fortunately you'll get a CO that will give you room to respond.
Hi, have you found an immigration lawyer,I can refer you to one in the us

I have an 8yrs Canada visa. They bounced me and my 3 kids. And she can’t apply for transit visa from here. I was forced to buy a direct flight with united airlines forcing us to spend extra 4k$ at this critical time. It’s well.
So sorry about this, i feel your pain. Its not easy spending an extra unbudgeted $4k in this Tinubu's economy

Hello
I recently received a notification via email to book my appointment but I'm hesitant to book because my plans have changed.
I will still want to travel to the USA but I need to go to the Netherlands first before for an extended period.
Is it possible to change my interview location from Abuja to the Netherlands without making another visa payment? Any ideas, please?
Pls, these dates you guys are talking about, are they dates for fresh visa interviews? As in has the procedure chaged from submitting your ds160 form and proceeding straight to search/chose a date?

Hi everyone, I applied for B1 Visa for conference since 2021 and the interview date I saw at that time was October 2023. I chose a date in October and it's coming up but the conference is past.
Should I find another conference in the USA and refill the Ds-160 form again then use it on the appointment or I should I cancel the appointment?
Also, if I'm to refill the DS-160 form, should I pay for another visa or still use the old payment I made?
I don't want to miss any conference in the US in near future
Well, in my opinion, i think you should still go for the interview since you've already booked and paid for it. Just be honest with them and explain to them that the interview was originaly booked because you had a conference to attend, but that since the date has ed you would like to go for a vacation or you just fill another ds100 form and say you're going for vacation and do your homework (planing your itinerary and accommodation) Best of luck

Good Morning House
Fit to fly!
Please is your personal doctors fit to fly sufficient
Someone told me you also have to get one at the airport from Port Health Services?
Is this true?
I think it is airline specific. Some airlines i understand accept the one from your doctor, while others insist on the one from Port health, so you just have to find out which is acceptable by your airline

I'm a PhD student with full funding(in mathematics). The school also gave me health insurance but it will kick in when I get to the school and . The school will also pay me every month as a teaching assistant. I just got my visa to travel to the US. I'm currently 6 months pregnant. Will I be denied entry by a POE officer because I'm visibly pregnant?
My husband has saving of over 10k in his dom in Nigeria. Should he print his statement and give me to travel?.
What will i say in case immigration notice I'm pregnant. Someone said that they will let me in because I have F1 visa and that my programme is for 5yrs. I will be traveling by August.
Please I need suggestions.
I don't think your being pregnant should raise any red flags. But you can print out your husband's dom statement as a backup. Carry go, nothing do you 😁

Please I am in the UK and I applied for US visa from the UK in June 2022 and was granted ,I went for a wedding and got back after a week. Since then I’ve not been to the US. Now I’m pregnant and my visa is till valid right after my EDD date . I intend to travel before it expires to have my baby in the US . The initial visa granted was B1/B2 tourism in 2022 with no intention to go and give birth that year . What do I do? Now that I want to go and my visa is still valid ? Please I’m travelling from the UK , and I’m on a tier 2 visa in the UK 🙏Anyone pls advice me on the procedures
Its the same B1/B2 visa they give people that go and give birth too, the only difference is that they obtain if for the purpose of going to give birth. Just go ahead and make the trip but with the necessary preparations like having Doctor and Hospital correspondence, accommodation arrangements and proof that you can pay your bills (either by carrying cash that you can show at POE Or having it in a card)
