for the re-election bid of President Good
luck Jonathan came yesterday from the least
expected quarters as Chairman of the Northern
States Governors’ Forum, Dr. Babangida Aliyu,
openly declared that there is no vacancy in Aso
Villa in 2015, especially for aspirants in the
Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Aliyu, who played a prominent role in the now
defunct G7 Governors generally seen as working
for the emergence of a northern president in 2015,
made the categorical statement in Minna when
some youths under the aegis of Babangida Aliyu
Youth for Peace Initiative, called on him at
Government House where they urged him to
contest the 2015 presidential election on the
platform of the PDP.
Mr. Inienimi Agiri, who led the youths, had told
the governor: “Now that by tenure and sheer
leadership for development capacity, you are most
qualified for national service, we feel-duty bound
to also make a clarion call on your humble and
hard working self to respond to the earnest
yearning of the patriotic youth of Nigeria for a
focused service to the entire citizens of this
country by accepting to present yourself as an
aspirant for the 2015 presidential election.”
Reacting, Governor Aliyu said: “As a loyal party
man, we will watch as things unfold in the PDP.
But for now, we have an incumbent in place and
usually, the incumbent, no matter his level of
performance; you will not want to remove him. I
believe the PDP will want to offer him that
position and so for 2015, there is no vacancy in
Aso rock.”
He, however, added that everyone in the PDP
would wait until the president made his intention
known on the issue of second term before any
scrambling could begin for the position, especially
if he acted in the negative.

Nigeria is about to score another goal in the area of communication technology as an indigenous company, the Slok Group, is set to roll out the first made in Nigeria mobile phones.

The Nigerian behind the company, former Abia State governor, Orji Uzor Kalu, while dropping this hint in Lagos, on Tuesday, said the Slok mobile phone had been built to be sold in Nigeria and across Africa.

Kalu, who said the phone would have the lowest end of the mobile phone market, assured Nigerians that the presence of the phone in the market would meet their yearnings for the type of utility phone they have long desired: smart and durable.

“Very soon, the Slok Group is rolling out the first ever indigenously made mobile phone called Slok Mobile. It is a phone we have built to be sold in Nigeria and across Africa.

“I am rolling out the Slok Telephone in less than eight weeks time. We will have the lowest end of the mobile phone market. The Slok Telephone has all the packages of a modern phone, it is going to be a utility phone that Nigerians have been looking for.

“We are a truly an African company but proudly Nigerian. So, this is what is coming on board. In the next eight weeks, the phones will be on the streets of Nigeria. We are going to roll out the phones on the Nigerian, Congo, Guinea, South Africa and other African markets,” he said.

According to Kalu, the phone has patent right in the United States and other countries as well as Europe.

This is the first time a Nigerian conglomerate will be rolling out a phone to take over the

'A man of God knows when Man U will win a

He makes people rich, provides security for
those who believe and come to him, exorcises

Yet, this same 'man of God', this same seer of
all manners of things, could not see when his

His inability to see this has led to the death of
those who originally went there to avoid death,

What a world, going to meet your death in the

Paul asked the Corinthians is Christ divided? the answer is No for GOD is not the author of confusion but definitely CAN is.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has
brought a message of hope to the Super Eagles
head coach, Stephen Keshi, assuring that he
would seal a fresh contract before the Africa
Nations Cup qualifiers double encounter against
Sudan next month.
General Secretary of the federation, Barrister
Musa Amadu, who gave the assurance while
fielding questions from Daily Sun sports at the
federation, however, dismissed the insinuations
that the delay in the contract was responsible for
the poor result Eagles got against visiting Red
Devils of Congo in Calabar.
“I cannot see how the coach’s contract will affect
the performance of the team. That the inability of
the coach to know his fate was responsible for
the result is a mere speculation.
“I have no doubt that he will sign a new contract
and I don’t even think he will return to USA. We
will have sufficient time to iron out all these
things,” he added.
“I know that it is critically important that the
coach signs his contract to secure his future and
know exactly what is due to him. I am sure we
will be able to sort out those things before the
next two games against Sudan,” Amadu assured.

Former Head of State, Major-General
Muhammadu Buhari seems to be the most
preferred presidential aspirant as the All
Progressives Congress (APC) goes for convention
between October 16 and 18 in Abuja.
But sources said some self-proclaimed party
chieftains who are scheming for Buhari should be
ready for a showdown with loyalists of another
top shot, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar
who is set to declare on September 24.
Checks at the weekend revealed that the party is,
however, in a dilemma on how to go about the
primaries such that whoever fails to clinch the
ticket among other contestants would not rock
the boat. Other contenders, who are equally
formidable and strong in of popularity and
followership are Atiku, Governor Rabiu Kwank
waso of Kano State and former Kwara State
Governor Bukola Saraki.
A party chieftain, who doesn’t want to be named
said, “on our card is Muhammadu Buhari,”
enthusing that, “with a level playing field the party
has promised all the contenders, he will emerge
victorious and fly the party’s flag for 2015
presidential election.”
He, however feared that, “if money eventually
becomes the determining factor for the contest,
Buhari may find it a bit difficult wooing higher
percentage of delegates to his side where the
likes of Atiku and Kwankwaso are involved.”
Another top member of the party, who spoke with
Daily Sun in Osun State yesterday introduced a
new dimension to the discussion when he stated
emphatically that, “take it or leave it, APC was
formed with the main objective of using Buhari as
our 2015 candidate to win the northern votes.”
According to him, his credibility was what the
nation needed at this point in time to liberate the
country from the crossroad it finds itself today.
He said “dropping him may weaken the party as
some , who believe in him may leave the
party.”
The source, however, expressed concern over
Buhari’s age which he said might throw the party
into crisis after the first term in office, reminding
that, “at above 70 now, if he is to spend two
in office, he would be about 80 years.”
He said, “in that wise, the party may decide to
persuade him to withdraw for younger aspirants,
who have age on their side to face the rigours of
governance at that level.”
If that eventually happens, Daily Sunlearnt that
the race will be between Atiku and Kwankwaso,
who are younger and also have reasonable
electoral values.
Atiku won Adamawa State governorship election
in 1999 before the then presidential candidate of
the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief
Olusegun Obasanjo, picked him as his running
mate. Kwankwaso is serving his second term.
It was further learnt that whoever becomes the
candidate would likely have Buhari’s
endorsement.
Meanwhile, moves by certain APC leaders to push
a consensus deal to enable Buhari, former
presidential candidate of the defunct Congress for
Progressive Change (C), emerge as the
candidate is already causing disaffection within
the party.
But a party source told Daily Sun that certain
self-proclaimed leaders in the party are scheming
to ensure automatic ticket for Buhari to the
consternation of other aspirants.
A source further expressed concern that those
angling for automatic ticket for Buhari are being
cowed by his die-hard loyalists who are insisting
that “it is either Buhari or nothing!”
But the source revealed that the other aspirants
are smarting for a showdown with those who
believed that Buhari candidacy is a settled matter.
“The idea of “automatic adoption” of Buhari or
any other aspirant for that matter is undemocratic
and could destroy the foundation and the
credibility of the APC.”
He recalled that the success recorded by the
main opposition party with the adoption of the
modified open direct primaries for choosing its
governorship candidate in Adamawa State for the
October 11 election has given confidence to the
leadership that it is a preferred option for
choosing its candidates for the 2015 elections.
Reacting to the insinuation of automatic ticket for
his boss, media aide to General Buhari , Mallam
Yau Darazo, told Daily Sun that he was not
aware of such plot. “Where did you hear that?
Well, I am not aware of that,” he queried.
Also reacting, National Publicity Secretary of the
party, Lai Mohammed, said no candidate would
be imposed as presidential candidate of the party.
“There is no provision for automatic ticket in our
party. I can tell you that we shall conduct a
transparent convention, where our candidate
would emerge,” he said.

A team of psychologists and medical doctors at

life after death.
According to worldnewsdailyreport.com ,they used
a new type of medically supervised near-death
experiences, that allow patients to be clinically
dead for almost 20 minutes before being brought
back to life. This controversial process that was
repeated on 944 volunteers over the last four
years.
The volunteers were made up of of
variety of Christian churches, Muslims, Jews,
Hindus and atheists.
Although there are some slight variations from
one individual to another, all of the subjects have
some memories of their period of clinical death.
Most common memories include a feeling of
detachment from the body, feelings of levitation,
total serenity, security, warmth, the experience of
absolute dissolution, and the presence of an
overwhelming light.
“I know our results could disturb the beliefs
of many people” says Mr Ackermann. “But in
a way, we have just answered one of the

Governor Chibuike Amaechi’s uncle, Mr. Sabinus
Ordu, has been murdered by yet-to-be-identified
assailants, in his hometown, Ubima in Ikwerre
Local Government Area of Rivers State.
News of the victim’s murder was broken
yesterday, by the state Commissioner for
Information, Mrs. Ibim Semenitari, at a media
briefing in Port Harcourt. She disclosed that the
octogenarian was assassinated last Monday while
his mutilated body was discovered in the bush.
According to her, the deceased was a career civil
servant and vice principal of Community
Secondary School, Aluu, also in Ikwerre Local
Government Area.
It was gathered that the deceased was reportedly
trailed by unknown assailants when he went to
check some of his traps in the bush.
“The late Mr. Sabinus Ordu, who is an uncle to
Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, returned home
in the afternoon from CSS, Aluu where he was the
vice principal and told the boy staying with him
that he was going into the bush to check his
traps after having a meal.
“He then mounted his motorcycle and left for the
bush, but did not return until it was night. At
about 8.00pm, the boy raised an alarm which
attracted the villagers. A search party was sent to
look for him. “The search party, on their way into
the bush, saw the victim’s motorcycle by the
bush path, and immediately went into the bush
where they found his lifeless body, mutilated with
several machete cuts. The matter has been
reported to the police at Elele, while his remains
have been deposited at the morgue”, she stated.
The Commissioner for Information further said
that the state government was concerned about
the ugly development, especially as the 2015
general elections were fast approaching, even as
she called on the police to step in and ensure that
the perpetrators of the heinous crime were
brought to book.
“We are concerned about this development,
especially because these are obvious signs as we
get closer to the general elections. We don’t want
to point fingers or cast aspersions, but Mr. Ordu
was only a civil servant and a peace-loving man.
He was a simple citizen and was not into
government contracts.
“Perhaps, his only crime was that he is related to
Governor Amaechi. We are calling on the police to
bring Mr. Ordu’s killers to book. This cannot be
another mystery murder; this cannot be another
unresolved murder case. The people of Rivers
State will continue to resist the murder of
innocent people”.
She added: “God alone gives life and only God can
take a life. This is a crime against the innocent
and the poor”. Responding to questions from
journalists on the heinous act, Semenitari, said
the ugly development would not be unconnected
with the politics in the state.
“At this point, we are unwilling to cast any
aspersion. We hope it is not politically motivated.
We can’t adduce any reason for the murder. Every
indicator points to the strong likelihood that this
was politically motivated”, she said.

breaking the ice can prove to be a very hard nut to crack. Nigerians are very creative; they have the ability to create funny chat-up lines in a loving way.
You will be surprised at how amusing they can
get when they’re interested in someone and need
to initiate a conversation.

Some could be funny, creative, intriguing or
downright annoying but at this point all they’re
thinking about is how to create a common
ground, approach a stranger without getting
embarrassed or rejected. Here are the top
ten Nigerian funniest chat-up lines that will
make you laugh your heart out:

1. “You look familiar, have we met?”

This seems to be the most popular in Nigeria
when it comes to chat-up lines. A guy walks up
to you and is like “… Hey. .. You look familiar,
have we met?”. ( And you’re staring blankly like
…” No, I don’t think so” and he goes …”Oh
common don’t tell me you can’t
me. ..”. So in a bid to defend your memory, you
oblige and chat or you really don’t care and tell
the person off.

2. “Can I follow you home? ‘Cos my parents told
me to always follow my dreams”

When you hear a line like this, you may be too
weak to react cos you’re boiling within with
laughter. All that runs through your mind could
be “what the heck is he (or she as the case may
be) thinking?”.

3. “Hey, you are very pretty, you look exactly
like my mum”

This sounds awkward because the lady does not
know how the person’s mom look. However,
some women may feel honoured while some
maybe like .. ” What? are you alright? You
wish!”

4. “Ooooo Boi! I wish I met you first”

This line is pretty famous in the circles of those
who meet someone they think they like when
they’re already in a serious relationship. It’s a
funny way to break the ice but it
works. Sometimes, It has an uncanny feel to it
that can soften the other person’s disposition
towards you.

5. “You’re the only egg in my roll. Without you
I’m just a buns”

Now talk about downright hilarious. Even the
meanest or hardest Nigerian mind will break a
smile on hearing this. The mere thought of the
person trying to talk to you being a “buns” is so
funny. Using this is sure to kick start your much
needed chat but you’ve got to get creative to
keep it going.

6. “I’m not a prophet but I can see you and I
together”

When you hear such lines, the first thing that
comes to mind will be “hmmmm, the brother’s
getting all religious on me” and as funny as it
may sound it, works for some people.

7. “I thought happiness starts with letter H, why
does mine start with U?”

How creative and smooth, when you hear such
lines you just smile because you get carried
away by the mind behind those words. It’s funny
but cute at the same time, words like this can
break any ice cold heart and get a conversation
going. Besides, give the brother some credit for
the pun.

8. “Does it Hurt? (What?) Falling from heaven”.

I’ve heard men use this line a lot. Its just a
sweet way to tell a lady that she is an angel.
It’s kind of abstract because it starts with a
question – Does it hurt? It’ll definitely trigger
some curiosity in the mind of the lady because
it’s awkward. And the later part – falling from
heaven – creates the opposite reaction because
they never saw it coming. It’s an old classic pick
up line that still works.

9. “Hi I’m kind of lost. please can you help me
find my way to …..?”

I can bet you this line has been in use for
decades and till date it works. It makes you
sound vulnerable and in need of help but the aim
is to draw attention and start a conversation.
This kind of pick of line works better in public
places.

10. “Now I know why Solomon had 700 wives…
He never met you!”

Talk about religious and funny, this is sure to
earn you a smile from that ‘sister’ that’s got
your nerves in a twist and your mind all tangled
up. This type of lines that have a biblical feel to
them are best tried on religious person with a
sense of humour.

When it comes to chat-up or pick-up lines, you’ll
hear a lot of things. However, in the mouth of
the right person, a line that sounds so silly can
be said in a way that will charm the other party
and culminate in a lasting relationship – be it
platonic or romantic. The thing is to adequately
access the circumstances and environment under
which you’re meeting as well as the person in
question otherwise the only thing you maybe
picking is a “dirty slap”.
What do you think? Have you got any funny
chat-up lines you would like to share with us?

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has made
the pioneer chairman of Economic and Financial
Crimes Commission (EFCC), Malam Nuhu Ribadu,
a laughing stock, Goveror Rabiu Kwankwaso of
Kano State said on Wednesday.
Nuhu Ribadu
He made the remark in Kano while receiving merit
awards from two groups, APC Kwankwasiyya
Amana, Bauchi state chapter; and Nigeria 774
Kwankwasiyya Merger: Kwankwaso for President.
“After he left the APC for the PDP, his new party
did not find him worthy of its gubernatorial ticket.
I am sure the PDP stakeholders in Adamawa are
now laughing at him. We sympathize with him.”
The governor however called on the Adamawa
electorate to think wisely and vote for the APC
candidate in the forthcoming gubernatorial
election, considering the hardships caused to the
state by the PDP central government.
He appealed to them to pay back good for good
by dumping the PDP and voting for the APC
which is ready to bring about positive and
realistic changes in the whole country.
“Anybody who voted for PDP, which within five
years could not lead the nation rightly has
deceived himself,” lamented the governor, pointing
out that APC has come up with a credible
candidate in person of Senator Muhammad Jibrila
Bindaw who can salvage Adamawa state.
He alleged that the Adamawa state PDP chose a
candidate whom most of their ers see as
incompetent, hoping that people in the state
should opt for APC, describing it as the best party
in Nigeria.
Earlier, the chairmen of the NGOs Murtala
Abdullahi Dass and Habu Ibrahim Fagge appealed
to Kwankwaso to enter the race for the
presidency come 2015, assuring him they will
mobilize Nigerians to him.
Meanwhile, Governor Kwankwaso has thanked the
state APC stakeholders’ effort in mobilizing
people across the nation to his
presidential aspiration in the 2015 general
election.
Meeting with them at the Kano Government
House also on Wednesday, the governor said that
most of the people he met at the APC Northwest
rally in Sokoto told him that the message has
reached them and they are in of the
aspiration.
He therefore urged the stakeholders to continue
to enlighten Nigerians until the APC wins the
2015 general elections. He also reiterated that
he's still consulting on the 2015 presidential
contest and will make his decision known to the
general public very soon.

beyond the grammatical flaws of this discourse lies a heathen treasure.

When i was young, i thought dad hated us we children, he used to speak in a commanding Voice
that scared us. He could give us hard rules to follow, like not touching on the Radio, going to his
room opening the Cupboard, going to our neighbors and whoever did, he was punished
Heavily. Whenever we could something, my Mum used to tell us that when ur dad comes i'll tell
him and he will "Kill" you and whenever he could
come, when told, he could beat us. At the age below 7, i felt i hated him. When we started growing old, some of the restrictions he removed them. We
could be allowed to do things which we were not
allowed. At the Age of 15 i started realizing his love, whenever i could be going, he could give me
School fees, then add me money which he called
Pocket Money for me to use at school. He could smile to me as am going and welcome me warmly as the term ends with a delicious Meal. Now at my age of 20 he even calls me asking when will i come to visit them. And whenever i visit them, i feel like crying when am departing/leaving them

I NOTED THIS.
The instructions and rules he gave us were meant to keep us safe, and/or thing in our environment.
Fathers pray an Important role in providing us with
all we need. Food, shelter, clothing, education and all the care we have is because of fathers' love. If ur Dad is a very Important Person in this world,
like this status and write "I LOVE
YOU DAD"

It is disgustingly appalling how the self
acclaimed men of GOD (or should I say men of
gods) have succeeded in deceiving majority of
the perishing with their vain philosophy of come
as you are.

There is little discrimination on the appearance
of a person. Wear dreadlocks, tattoos, mini
skirts, low-waist jeans, sagging pants or even
walk into their auditorium with a bikini, nobody
cares. "To the pure, all things are pure", they
say. GOD looks at the heart not appearance.
Jesus said come as you are, they say again.
Agreed, Jesus said come as you but did he also
say remain as you are? Did the Bible talk about
modesty in dressing? (1Tim. 2:9). GOD looks at
the heart indeed but you forget the words of
Jesus, "...For out of the heart proceed evil
thoughts..." Mt. 15:29.

I am not baffled greatly because the inspire
Apostle predicted - "For the time will come
when they will not endure sound doctrine; but
after their own lusts shall they heap to
themselves teachers, having itching ears and
they shall turn away their ears from the truth,
and shall be turned unto fables". 2Tim 4:3-4

Be it known to you (pastor and follower) no one
wears seductive and immodest dressing with a
pure heart! That Same heart that Jesus looks
into will always tell you what harm your
immodest dressing will cause both to you and
those that behold you.

ulster: In this ebola season where cost of hand-sanitisers have literally trebled and the composition of these hand-sanitisers are in doubt, why not make your own home-made hand sanitizer from ingredients you select. This is an excellent project for kids, now that schools are not resuming soon and you'll save money, protect yourself from germs, and can customize the scent of the hand sanitizer, and be sure of the composition of the hand sanitisers you are using this period. It is not rocket science but simple chemistry, so lets go:?

2/3 cup 99% rubbing alcohol (isopropyl alcohol) or ethanol
1/3 cup aloe vera gel
8-10 drops essential oil, optional (such as lavendar, tea-tree, vanilla, peppermint, grapefruit)
bowl and spoon
funnel
recycled liquid soap or hand sanitizer bottle

Nothing could be easier! Simply mix the ingredients together and then use the funnel to pour them into the bottle. Screw the pump back onto the bottle and you're ready to go.

Wash your hands regularly with soap, apply your home made hand-sanitiser and put your trust in Jesus and be ebola free!
God bless wink

Going, going, going, gone and the highest bidder
takes it home.

This slogan is devised by The Pharisees of our
days, who call themselves men of GOD, just to
maximize wealth for themselves through their
ill-conceived Business strategy - Bazaar -
without regard to God's word.

Master Jesus frowned at such scenario and
never hesitated to CAST THE MERCHANTS OUT
OF THE TEMPLE for daring to BUY AND SELL
IN GOD'S HOUSE while he lamented, "It is
written, My house is the house of prayer: but ye
have made it a den of thieves." Luke 19:46.
Believe it or not, BAZAAR IS SINFUL AND
HARVEST too was neither commanded by
Jesus nor practiced by the early church as a
means of fund raising and as such stands in
opposition to God's word.

If Jesus used cane to Chastise the Pharisees,
am sure you (pastor, man of GOD, church
member... ) will receive greater punishment
except you repent.
