Why the exclamation?!!!!!!
That means you are new in this business Nah.
Do you know I invested in union homes at 8+ in 2008 and also starcomms at 1+,I didn't see kobo to recoup from my 1.2 m naira investment then.
This is one of the reasons I became an emergency Jijoist till date.
Never fall in love with any stock.

Dude calm down, this is a faceless forum and u don't know who I am. All I can tell you is I'm not a kid when it comes to naija stock..so take a chill pill and relax.

I invested something similar around the same time. I think they gave back to back 1:3 bonuses for three years before that Calabar man misadventures. All in all, it was a good school fees to pay. I never bothered to recover anything that was left there

I received a pay off from Union Bank yesterday afternoon.I nearly shed tears of sadness ,I obtained a loan of five hundred thousand naira in 2005 as a civil servant, invested same on Union Bank shares, with no appreciable dividends declared since then,I was paid fifty thousand naira yesterday for five hundred thousand naira investment in 2005, this is sad and unfortunate.
A discouragement on investing in shares which I believe now should be for those who wish to trade in shares and not for civil servants who are thinking of life after retirement.
Most of our investment on shares between 2003 and 2008 were wasted by Some Directors of the quoted companies

What!!!

How do you guys want to make money when you panic and sell at every gain. Anyways some people sold Ucap sold at N3 grin

Have you even bothered to ask what price Providus will buy Unity bank and what will be the value of the new bank compared to your purchase price?

Goodluck to everyone.

Everyone have their strategy of getting rich....If making a gain of 1.5m in a week is good for the investor, you don't have any right to condemn him for doing it..You've got no idea where he got the money invested.

I'm a software engineer working remotely from Nigeria. I earn a 7-figure monthly salary.
With my salary only (at an average exchange rate of 850/$), it would take me about 6.6 years to save up 100 million, provided I have zero dependents and had to cater only for myself throughout those years. It's quite a naive way to project this though because a lot of things can happen along those years. But it still gives an idealistic comparison base.

So my question goes to Nigerians currently living or have lived abroad. Can you tell us the country, the job title, and how long it would take to save up to NGN100 milliion, assuming you have zero dependents and have to cater for only yourself. Do to factor in taxes if any and other living expenses for yourself alone

The reason for my question is not far-fetched. I'm just wondering if it's worth it to sell ones' properties worth milliions just to JAPA and go start over again. Please, refrain from dragging the country's situation into your answer or any other reason to JAPA. Kindly focus on answering the question as best as possible.

Thanks.

Keep deceiving yourself..you don't have anyone you are spending money on, but you had a baba with you girlfriend like 3 years ago, you baba na driver and you no they give am money.. No be only 7 digits you they earn, na 8 digits self...Someone earning 7 digits but na 2007 car or 2.5m he they find

If you haven't been selling, it's not yet an income. Still on paper.

In the stock market, you don't really loose or gain until you sell.

Congratulations though.

Let me just observing.

If I want to secure a loan with my portfolio today, what would my collateral be calculated with as my networth. The paper value right?

2300 pound is like earning 200k monthly in Nigeria, please tell me how a family man based in lagos can survive in Lagos with 200k. Which loan are you paying, when you still pay rent..The major loan people pay in UK is Mortgate and Auto loan of wch auto loan is minute compare to mortgage. With 2300 you can live a decent life in UK if you mo do yourself..A saving of 500 pounds monthly is to too small
