Good evening, everyone. My wife took her UKVI IELTS on December 16th, and her results were updated on December 29th. However, as of today, January 10th, we have not received the hard copy of the results. According to our calculations, we should have received it after 7 working days from seeing the results online. Should we be worried?

Fizzymidasquil: I want to believe you're applying for another visa category and not the Health and Care Worker visa correct me if I'm wrong please because I read that if you're applying for HCA, you don't need Health Surcharge. |

Good day everyone, my wife paid for her UKVI IELTS yesterday but her dashboard is still showing that she needs to make payments. She paid via transfer and as instructed, she sent an email with her details to the email address that was provided but my worry is that it is stated on her portal that she has till the 6th - tomorrow to make payments or else her application will be cancelled and they said it takes them 7 working days to confirm payments.

Good morning, everyone. My question may be a bit general, but I'd like to know which of the test centers in Lagos, either on the island or mainland, is considered the best for UKVI IELTS. Your input is appreciated. π

Good morning advanceDNA and everyone here. My wife got a job offer to work as HCA in the UK and I've read the introductory page of this thread and jumped to page 400 to start reading about other people's testimonies, questions, their processes and POE experience but I'd like to ask a few questions as we are about to start our application. 1. What's the first thing we need to do, we've not seen a step by step guide on how to start the application. 2. I know the POF has to be in the before we start our application, can I use my own for the POF as it has better inflow and outflow or do we need to transfer the money to the MA? 3. Can we do upfront TB tests or everything has to be after we set up an ? 4. The PCC expires fast, when is it advisable we do it? 5. Which of the medical test centres is the best for people going this route, I know affordability is relative but we want a cheap one that won't stress us, I saw $150 quoted for IOM on the UK government website while Q-Life was quoted in naira but I'd wait to hear from experienced people here. 6. The MA would be writing UKVI IELTS does she need to submit her credentials through ECCTIS again? Thank you all in anticipation of a prompt response. Also thanks to Uzland for this thread and to everyone keeping this thread alive. We were focusing on Canada but this one came and we have to take it. |

Goodly1: Sure, we will take note of this. Thanks for your response.π |

Hello everyone, I just stumbled upon this thread. Please I need information concerning UKVI tests for my wife, who is applying to work in the UK as a Health Care assistant, can we through IDP instead of British council because IDP has a test centre in our present location (Ile-Ife) while the nearest location for British council is Osogbo. I also want to ask if it is compulsory for her to present Care certificates.

damosade:You'd need to ask him to explain what he's helping you to do and that he should carry you along. If it's study visa maybe he's trying to get your SOP written or something like that. |

FreeStuffsNG:Thanks for the explanation, I didn't bother to check Oyetola's educational background, I only judged him based on his recent public profile. 1 Like |

BIZNess123:I was also thinking along this line, I read about him and saw he's got ICT background and would have been a great fit in that ministry of Blue Economy. I just started reading about blue economy and I see it's got great potential but the choice of Oyetola is what I find hard to understand. |

FreeStuffsNG: Do you care to shed more light? The ministry is a new one and I'd like to know why you feel former governor Oyetola is the right fit instead of Bunmi Tunji-Ojo that was initially penned for that ministry. |

orjohn24: Some people make this mistake thinking it's just to get a visa, buy a ticket and fly but anyone that has been on this thread for at least 2 months will already have an idea of what they should prepare before embarking on the journey. That's why someone like me appreciate people who keep this thread alive by sharing necessary information for intending travelers. Everyone's journey is not the same so we won't have the same experiences. |

Viking07: Everything is about information. I have someone that landed in June and could have been sent back to MMA just because he wasn't well informed. I'd be in your DM. π |

orjohn24: Bros be calming down, if you read through his comments you'd realise he didn't just travel based on insha'Allah, he went there with a plan and part of his plan is to get an set up immediately he lands. Like someone said up there if that place no gel for you no mean say everyone that lands with a VV will experience same. Yeah we understand you're trying to sound a note of warning to intending travelers to prepare themselves ahead of their journey but please there are better ways of ing information without demeaning others. π 3 Likes |
