It is well with Nigeria. However we are far behind! We need the government to deliver more quickly, policy actions are too slow compared to the scale of decadence in our socioeconomic systems

This is a welcome development, first Abuja and now Lagos. However i hope we have enough internal capacity at the immigration services to maintain and sustain this technology including alternative power supply in case of power outage. Eku ise

Hon Olubunmi Ojo is a worthy youth ambassador in government. He's a role model worthy of emulation. We need more of him in government to take Nigeria to the desired destination. Congratulations on this new feat.

Perhaps, Dr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, current minister of interior, an accomplished business management and consulting executive with over seventeen years public and private sector experience in project and strategic management, may have read the book.
In their book, POWER, AMBITION, GLORY, Steve Forbes, Chairman, CEO, and editor-in-chief of Forbes Media, and classics professor, John Prevas, provided intriguing comparisons between six great leaders of the ancient world and contemporary business leaders, setting out basic factors which led to greatness and the lessons you can learn.
Perhaps, Dr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, current minister of interior, an accomplished business management and consulting executive with over seventeen years public and private sector experience in project and strategic management, may have read the book
Discussing how structures drive vision, Forbes and Prevas insist that it is not just enough for a leader to have vision but he must put in place structures to effect it. They compared Cyrus the Great and Jack Welch and John Chambers and how their modern businesses were built.
No matter what anyone says about the present istration, Tunji-Ojo stands out as one minister who got to office and hit the ground running. In a nation where obtaining something as basic as an international port had become nightmarish, with the attendant deliberate scam and hardship, it looked something like magic when the interior minister ordered that within a specific timeline, he wanted all backlog of ports being processed to be done with
Nigerians merely took his order as a public stunt not until long queues at port offices began to disappear and ever-pessimistic Nigerians started making public revelations on social media of how the minister’s order has been yielding results. Yes, there were issues but it had to take a man of vision, courage and a good heart to drive the process.
In fact, never in the history of the debates and processes leading up to the acceptance of a nominee for awards has any received the instant acclaim and endorsement TunjiOjo did. Once nominated, editors started reeling out instances of impressive showing by the minister since he took over. His attitude to work and readiness to engage were attributes which pronounced him in good stead
With his exposure and deep knowledge of critical sectors of the economy especially the Oil and Gas, Information Technology, as well as expertise in policy making and development in Agriculture, Research, Finance, Management Consultancy and Manufacturing industries, he has made a mark for himself in the executive branch of government, having been a two-term member of the House of Representatives
His résumé is rich. He consulted for the Ministry of Petroleum Resources, Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF), Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), Petroleum Equalisation Fund (PEF) (Management) Board, Senate Committee on Petroleum Resources (Upstream), House of Representatives Committee on Petroleum Resources (Upstream), Nigeria Gas Company (NGC), National Petroleum Investment and Management Services (NAPIMS), Nigerian Petroleum Development Company (NPDC), World Bank, Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs, t ission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB), National Health Insurance Scheme, Abuja (NHIS), Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority (NSIA), National Commission for Mass Literacy, Adult and Non-Formal Education among others

Hello please we need advice on the way forward, my brother application was withdrawn because he didn't include PAL. He didn't because he applied for a Master degree program in public policy and at Adler University Vancouver. Why could such happen even though IRCC clearly stated the master's and doctoral degree applications do not require a PAL?

Hello Guys,
You don't get to read this quite often here, nevertheless, you may want to read this.
For those who have gotten their PPR, congrats to y'all. For those who are yet to receive their PPR, you will get it.
When coming to Canada, please get your shit together at the point of entry. Depending on the immigration officer that you will be meeting, they may be nice to you, while others will probably not be. Whatever tone they take with you, remain calm and answer to the best of your knowledge.
Please know the answers to simple questions, such as "What course are you studying?", "What is the name of your school?", "What's the duration of your course of study?", "When will you graduate (month and year)?", "where will you stay (address)?" - They may decide to call your should you say you will be staying with a friend - If you said Airbnb, please keep your receipt ready. If you did GIC, I'd suggest you log onto their Portal with your phone and have access to your transactions - be ready to show it.
As a JJC who is coming to Canada for the first time, please come with enough food items. Most airlines offer 23 x 2kg, so I'd suggest you have your clothing in one 23kg and food items in the other 23kg. No go pack cloth full everywhere, unless, of course, you carry better bar de come, otherwise na hunger go first kee u b4 cold and rent go use u play monkey post. Groceries cost o. Research abt Canada outlet (electric socket), if you ft get the appropriate adapter for Naija, I mean the one wey go match ur phone/laptop charger, carry am de come, e go save u a few dollars and waka around.
As per accommodations, you do not need to get here first before before looking for a place to stay. You can start the arrangements from Naija. I find kijiji dot com more secure. But Facebook is even cheaper but dem get plenty scammers. You can sublet a room from a student who is going for a co-op (internship) and may want to lease their room for a period of 4 to 8 months. Subletting is generally cheap, although some of them do inflate the prices of those rooms, but as naija pikin, always negotiate! If you are using Facebook posts to look for accommodations, do not pay until you arrive in Canada, and with your two legs and eyes, see the room. Please don't fall for a housing scam! If you are in doubt, always ask questions.
After getting your study permit at the Airport, ask a security person or a worker where you can get your Social Insurance Number (SIN). to carry your luggage afterward.
Get a USD/CAD prepaid card from your bank in Naija, deposit some funds into it, and come with it. Or you can buy CAD from Aboki and come with it ( to check for fakes). No go carry USD enter here and come de change am to CAD for airport, their exchange rate is horrible.
Lyft (a rider app) is generally cheap (as compared to others) in my experience, you can the app and book a ride to pick you up from the airport. There are also Uber and Airport Taxis, but I find them quite expensive.
The Nigerian community here is pretty much not as strong as our Indian brothers, but you will get to meet Nigerians who are quite good (and I don't mean carrying your burden or catering to your needs). You will also get to meet those who are aloof. If you meet a naija brethren here on the first day, you may think they are "feeling too big" but don't worry, you guys may soon become buddies. Always reach out, you just never can tell.
And don't worry, Nigerians de small for this country. Asians de run the streets, so no allow anybody tell you say pple dn full here, na lie, there's enough space for all of us. Depending on the Province wey u de enter, student work ft hard to get, especially in Ontario, you go suffer small oo, na y I de say, come with food (and money for rent, even if it for a few months b4 you find something doing) otherwise you might get discouraged, which may even lead to depression/break down.
, do not take your eyes off the price!
I wish us success! And I wish us well!

Hey there! I understand your concern about transferring lump sums from your personal to your Proof of Funds (POF) for your study visa application. It's always a good idea to provide a clear explanation of the sources of the funds to ensure transparency in your application.
In your case, where you've sold properties worth a significant amount, it would be wise to include an explanation of the sales and provide any relevant evidence, such as sale agreements or bank statements showing the funds being deposited into your salary . This will help strengthen your application and demonstrate the legitimacy of the funds.
Note, the goal is to provide a clear and accurate picture of your financial situation to the immigration authorities. By explaining the sources of the lump sum and providing ing evidence, you can help alleviate any concerns the visa officer may have and increase the chances of a successful application.
If you have any more questions or need further clarification, feel free to ask. Good luck with your study visa application! 🤞📚
It will end in praise

Please i need someone to help clarify this. Is it safe to transfer lump sums from my other personal to my POF ? Will it still be necessary to explain the sources of the lump sum? For instance if i sold 3 ppties each worthing 6-7m and i received the funds through my salary then transfer it to my savings which im using for POF. Do I still need to explain the sources or attached evidence of the sales? Thanks in advance for your responses.
