GEJ is gradually building our institutions to help achieve lasting growth. The expansion of the ACN is due to GEJ's commitment to free and fair elections. Since GEJ came, all attempts to rig has failed because he has no time for such politics. It is however unfortunate that the North is tarnishing his strides with insecurity.

If you only we will look, its easy to see many positives since GEJ came to power.

any info?

The ruthless opposition has set many obstacles to stop GEJ from achieving anything. they have an elaborate media campaign that keeps the public focused on only the short comings of this government. Anyone who cares to search, will see a lot of positive development that has happened under GEj.

Beaf, thank you for sharing this. People should know that Nigeria must grow. no matter how they claim to hate GEJ, he still has millions of ers who are waiting for the results of the present work to show before they start their own noise.

Hello,

I worked for a telco for some time and saved a some amount as pension. I am now doing business on my own and don't intend to work for anyone again. I will rather invest the funds if i can lay my hands on it.

The problem is how can i retrieve it from the pension fund managers. i was told that the law says i must be of retirement age (60) before i can access it. Is that true.
what options do i have.

thanks.

If does not act, you people will complain, when he does, you will complain. please answer this, is AZAZI Performing? NO. despite his PDP statement, he has not performed and bomb are going of everyday. Only a Northerner can effectively fight Boko Haram.

For once, leave politics and irrational talk and see the big picture.
And for those calling GEJ a retardeen. No one in your family will ever achieve half of what he has achieved. who is the real retardeen.

We are mentally sabotaging this country.

i love reading next online even if they write rubbish sometimes. when they where being controversial, they forget a gallon of diesel is expensive.
too bad, they should have been neutral and chased their cause in a more subtle manner.

the idiot that wrote this article failed to consider that the owners of the land own the waters around it. if the oil spills, it will end up on the land. In my village in rivers state, there is no fish in our waters again due to spills. we are impacted by this everyday. North develope ur resources and leave oil.

Mutu Ya Chuma:

This is absolute Rubbish.

Uganda got 10,000 soldiers in Somalia, but the US sends 100 soldiers to Uganda to capture Kony? the hell? Uganada can't send 2,000 soldiers to get rid him?

What happens to all the money that the US sends to Uganda? This is a scum.

they sent 100 advisers and strategist to plan the missions while the ugandan army executes

I pray this happens. let them go. but plateau, benue southern kaduna and many other places wont them. if they think the north is still one, they are joking. its divided worst than the south.  Besides, if it happens, they will be very very poor. Southern Nigeria will be like uk in their eyes.

what is the quantity found. can it be sustained for the next 20yrs. I am happy that oil is being discovered in more states. this will increase the voices calling for fiscal federalism. One day 75% of the money made in the Niger Delta will be spent in the Region.

if the laws of the land says, you must build refineries. then its what you will do or loose you license. there are many companies that are ready to take over. Nigeria is bigger than the oil firms, not the other way round.

Right Now, his 1st task is boko haram.

from all i have read, he seems to be the right man. he has all sorts of bad record and seems to be good at dirty jobs. Thats the kind of person that can fight the battle.

The kano bombings are a reaction to massive arrests by the army in recent days. many low level and highly placed of the gruop have been arrested recently. they are being squeezed. GEJ and the army should intensify efforts and bring this rubish to an end this year.

diluminati:

please stop derailing the thread.

jonathan must go. enough is enough. stop playing the tribal card.

GEJ is not going anywhere, let them keep sabotaging the govts, effort. The Man will be there. If anything happens to him. Several meeting are already being held in the creeks oh.

Unlike Boko Haram, they kill and destroy but oil money still flows. if oil production is shut down like it was done before the amnesty, how will nothern states survive? they dont make any money for themselves.

The Northern politicians are being very silly right now.

I believe Boko Haram is a military response to the political misfortunes of the region since our return to democracy. some people promised to make the country, or at least there region ungovernable.

The North is lagging behind in development and now they mix insecurity to it; the end result is extreme poverty.
The region lacks investment. Many rich northerners have their biggest investments in Lagos and other parts of the more stable south.

Compared to the agitation of the Niger Deltans, What is happening in the north is pure stupidity.

1. MEND and Co,  kidnapped and released hostages unharmed
2. They blew up oil installations after warning the workers (usually no casualty).
3. Their demands where clear and realistic
4.  etc.

1. Boko Haram randomly kills people, even fellow muslims
2. very unclear and unrealistic demands
3. etc

At the end of the day, if the country splits (which may happen), the North Lacks a Seaport, Oil industry, market for food produce etc it will be serious poverty over there. It will be like Niger republic.

They will queue for a visas to come to the south which will be years ahead in development.

AS it is Now, 90% of all job adverts are in lagos, abuja and port harcourt. there is so much going on in the south, irrespective of crime and other vices.

when this is all over, the region will be several years behind where it already is.

The people of the North should wake up and fight the elites who have info about boko haram, but will rather destabilize the govt than save there region.

just my toughts

Many Notherners fled the south for fear of attacks from Christians only to run into Bombs from their kinsmen. So  SAD. #Kano
