The best police does these days is to 'confirm the attack', nothing more. This is too bad, how can attackers be killing innocent citizens in their sleep repeatedly and the government is not doing anything serious about it?

solomon111: Where're all those short-sighted people faulting the president for banning used cars?
President GEJ would have made a very fine president of the SE/SS nation.
He's too good for Nigeria.

Why SE/SS Nation? What happens to your Peoples' Republic of Biafra then?..... However, kudos to Mr. President for that great move.....

What has ofada or whatever they called it got to do with a politician flagging off his campaign?... To think that some youths are even carrying placards and protesting a non-issue as that is something else... Is it 'ofada' the people need or good roads, employment, quality education,etc?... This is 21st century for God's sake.... And for Peter Obi, he should stop capitalizing on petty issues for campaign... He should be telling the people how many schools he built, how many roads he constructed, how haw jobs he created, How he expanded the economy of the state etc and not how APGA shifted her campaign from 8th to 7th because that does not solve Nigeria or Anambra's problems... It is a bad thing if Anambrian are bent on discrediting Ngige not because they true think he is unfit for the position but because affiliation to what they termed "a yoruba party"...

Guy, your sense of reasoning and value system is terribly bad... What is wrong with someone working as a security man in a bank?.. Is he not receiving pay?... Do you prefer a rich criminal coming for your sister?....Dude, know that there is dignity in labour... If every graduate in Nigeria has a job that pays him or her the equivalent of what a security man in the bank receives , people would not be complaining of unemployment in this country as they complain today. Your sister has found happiness, and it doesn't matter whether, the man is working as a security man or as CEO, what matters is that he is responsible. Everybody must not start big in life. Its not a 'crime' to start small, what is a bad is remaining small... You need a shift in your paradigm, because its people like you that celebrate people with ill-gotten wealth and despise legitimate and honest low income earners , which is the major problem of Nigeria, because we succeeded in creating the impression that the low or middle-income earner is a nobody in the society, so everybody wants to be a high-come earner, either by hook or by crook and tomorrow will turn around and say Nigeria is bad.

Femi is a better person than Abati.... Even as a tribal bigot and a loud mouthed person, Femi did not hid his opinions on issues, he can say anything and defend it even at gun-point but that can't be said of Abati, a meretricious human being who is capable of eating his own vomits for money and position.

There is no cause for alarm... We are already on top of the situation... You shall all be paid your salary as soon as we sort out some discrepancies in our September's incomes from different sources, but for now go back to work and remain a patriotic Nigerian.

Why is that man behaving like that? Is Osun state now independent of the federal republic of Nigeria? Aregebesola is one of the few performing Governors in the country but that does not mean he should undermine the federal Government or cause more confusions in the already confused country.

In your small mind, you think people cannot be philanthropic without nursing political ambitions or do you think being philanthropic is a requirement for contesting election?..... How many hospitals did GEJ, Yar-adua, OBJ etc build for Nigerians before becoming presidents at different times?....When some is doing a good work instead of appreciating him people like you look for excuses to undermine his gesture.

Off course yes! Religion has failed not only Nigeria but the whole world. Most of the troubles in the world today have religious undertone. Religious people are sentimental people with very bad senses of judgement. People hide under religion to perpetrate all kinds of atrocities. In Nigeria, religion has incapacitated the government because several times people use religion to blackmail the government from taking important decision that would correct some anomalies in the country....... The poverty and almajiri problem in the far north is as a result of religion and it's had for Government address them because those benefiting these problems hide under religion to make sure such problems persist, a good a example of is the recent debate on child marriage where YERIMA was using religion to blackmail the Senate, just to make sure he and his fellow pedophiles keep on marrying little girls ....... People can serve God without being religious, at-least i know that Christianity of which i belong is not just a religion but a relationship between God and man, that is why not true christian can be a problem to the government and society.

You don't call people illiterates just because they didn't graduate from conventional universities. It's very wrong to call someone who could study a building plan and handle such a gigantic building an illiterate...... Many of us (Nigerians) have very wrong understanding of that word "Education". There are several graduates who never had any education and there are very many persons who don't even know how a university looks like but are well educated..... Our understanding of education in this part of the world is different from what is obtainable around the world and that is why we only go to universities just for the sake of getting jobs after graduation and not to develop ourselves skillfully and intellectually to face the real world on our own. We all know that more than 70% Nigerian graduates are not employable .... Any education that does not develop you skillfully and intellectually to survive on your own legitimately is not worth having.... Its high time we began to look for the substances in education which is only route out of mass unemployment everywhere in the world instead of rushing into the university just for the fun of it.

illiterati: It's obviously a comedy, so what's your beef with adult actors playing kid roles?
Besides, long before most of you were born the 'school children' were actually much older than presentday undergraduates.
And most importantly, they're making clean cash, you're here hating. You never see who go borrow you sugar for your evening garri today.
mtscheeeew!

With mentalities such as yours, Nigeria certainly has a long way to go.... Is everything about 'making cool cash'? There is a noble way of doing things.... Different people have to coming into things because that is how life is designed to be and not 60 and 40 years old man and woman playing roles of kids when kids are not in short of supply..... If people like you were to be in civil service you would be falsifying birth certificates and changing your age to remain in service..... People that have made their marks in any field of life should stop monopolizing things and bring others up to succeed them because success without a successor is failure. If at this age Nollywood cannot groom kids to play roles of school kids but resort to using grand parents for such roles, then the industry is not doing fine.

The world would be a better place without Islam because that thing called Islam is a problem anywhere in the world.... We may pretend and even claim that what is happening in the north today is more of political issues than religious issues, but i tell you the whole thing is about religion.... People that refer to Islam as religion of peace are either playing with our intelligence or they do not know what they are talking.... Shekau challenged Islamic clerics all over the world to come out and prove him wrong if they think what he is doing is not in accordance with the instructions of their Allah and we have not seen anybody yet.... Tell me which Muslim has sincerely condemn the activities of Boko Haram in Nigeria up till date...... If we are sincere to ourselves as a country we know we should know that the country Nigeria was not programmed to continue as one and definitely it cannot continue as one. Boko Haram wants a nation whose law is based on the koran and that's exactly what muslim north wanted when they established sharia law in a secular state (country) like Nigeria, so why are we always talking as we don't know that Boko haram is playing Islamic scripts of northern muslims? Off-course, Boko haram may be taking the whole fight deadlier than other nominal muslims expect but then that only shows that they are more zealous in doing the work of their Allah, which is a normal thing in any group. I'm from middle-belt and i used to be an advocate of one Nigeria but i must confess that i'm now a changed person. Its my earnest desire that, that country called Nigeria be divided into as many nations a possible if only that would add some dignity and value to our lives individually, because even besides the the Islamic menace that is an obvious threat to the existence of the country, the level of hate and tribal/ethnic bigotry among the ethnic nationalities in the country is second to known..... The biggest disservice that has been done to the average Nigerian till date is the amalgamation of 1914 which has to be corrected now....... Several people hate Femi Kayode because, they think he talks at random, but that dude made point when he talked about Nigerians being allowed to talk about ethnic issues freely which is the sure way of disintegrating peacefully...... My people staying together is not by force, its rather by choice, if it is a hard thing for us to live together peacefully, it should not be a hard thing for us to disintegrate peacefully.

hopilo: In this technology age people still stay in long line under sun or rain to collect posting letter? Why are we still backward? Emails, text messages would have done the job. Orientation should be in the school you are posted to, not to get crowd on the road and cause traffic around the stadium area. Abi na stunt to show I create teacher work give 13000 people. Primitive

You should have addressed the main issue before bluffing. The police didn't disperse them because they (police) sympathized with them as you claimed that they lined up under sun or rain to collect their posting letters..... There are millions of Nigerians who are ready to stand inside thunder and brimstone to get job....... You talk about technology, so you are supposed to know that in a technological era the police should have a better security measure for the society than using teargas to disperse innocent and harmless citizen who are just looking for legitimate means of livelihood.... We must all learn to address issues based facts and justice regardless of who is involved if really want growth, peace and unity in the country because justice is the only road that leads to genuine peace anywhere in the world.

Jakeattah: All these private uni's and their numerous first class graduates...... I hail o

The mass failure in the public universities in Nigeria is not necessarily a prove of high standards in our public schools.... Many of you are unable to make good grades in public universities because rather than concentrating on your studies you went about looking for things that were not looking for you.... You cannot abandon your studies for cultism, prostitution, thuggery and expect to come out with first class.... Its not anything too big to make good grades either in public or private universities, all you need is to set your priorities aright.... Hard-work and diligence pay in the private sector as well as in the public sector.

People like Aminu who would not tell Mr. President the truth are the real enemies he has... From whatever angle we see it or whatever religious or ethnic coloration we try give to the whole thing, it is not a credit to GEJ that 7 govs are going out of the party that brought him to power and under which he may be contesting the next election. It's not an improvement on the part of the president and the party, that 7 govs who worked for them in the recent election would be working against them in the next election ( if they could not resolve their differences). If the 7 govs eventually APC or decide to form alliance with APC in the next presidential election we all know that it would be very difficult for GEJ win presidency in a free and fair election and even if he is going to rig election it would be very difficult for him to that in states where the govs are opposed to his candidature..... Aminu does not want Atiku and co to be in the party (PDP) because their presence renders him irrelevant himself..... The president needs as many er as possible not only to win election but to also deliver the devidents of democracy which is the very essence of winning election.... Its senseless for somebody to say Atiku and co are politically irrelevant, If Atiku, OBJ, 7 Governors, over 70 of National Assembly are politically irrelevant, who then is relevant?..... If GEJ depends on people like Aminu to win election in the north or anywhere in Nigeria he is likely going to face the greatest disappointment of his life...

Tinubu may have his short comings but certainly we need someone like him in our politics. He is the leader of opposition in Nigeria and he is a very strong man that can make any govt to sit up... Without people like Tinubu politics in Nigeria will just a one sided game which is not good for the masses. I wish Tinubu quick recovery in Jesus Name (Amen).

Good one from Falana, all the govs of New PDP should be investigated when necessary but it should not be limited to them. You cannot tell me that govs of the Old PDP or APC are saints. If the investigation is limited to the govs in New PDP, them its no longer an investigation but a witch-hunting and victimization.....

Cronyy: Amaechi should come bak 2 his senses. Does he even tink dat he can destroy d president? He should learn 2 show some respect to those above him

How does calling a NGF meeting translate to destroying the President? ..... I don't know why everything in this country is based on sentiment, people don't want to see anything from the perspective from individual's right...... The chairman of NGF is calling a meeting of his colleagues of which the president is not one and its becomes a sin against Mr. President..... If any man nurses the ambition of contesting for presidency he automatically becomes a sinner. If any one dares to say he has a different opinion from that of Mr. President he becomes disrespectful..... Where exactly are we heading to with such mentality?......

The irony in this country is that the wrong people are the ones doing the right thing, and at the end, the right thing might be done in the wrong way and the whole thing becomes something else...... Just few days ago, Asari Dokubo said election or no election GEJ must be President in 2015 else there will war and today he is chatting democratic course for the country and canvassing for peace and unity...... By the way, i thought Mustapha is still an army officer, how comes he is so entangled in civilians' affairs?

The major problem with Ribadu is that he does not when to talk and when to keep quite..... Why ing words with the woman when she is not talking to you or are you indirectly fighting for OBJ?...... Today nobody takes El-rufai serious even if he is saying something important because he has lost credibility because he talks too much, and that is what Ribadu is turning himself into....... OBJ, said he was investigated by Efcc under Ribadu, we want to see the result of that investigation. Ribadu should tell us how his benefactor(OBJ), translated from a financially broke individual in 1999 to multi-billonaire in 2007.

This pope needs to be taught the way of salvation, enrolled in a foundation class and taught the fundamental issues of Christianity and the bible. For now he has no business preaching the bible because he is doing more harm than good to the the church of Jesus Christ and the kingdom of heaven.
