By the way, where are other groups in the Niger delta, why is it only Ijaws that fight against opression of the region? When it is time to harvest the fruits of the struggle, the Urhobos, Itsekiris and the rest will pop up from no where to demand for equal share. Nonsense.

The group is right, the reps idea is not to the bill signed, but to use those new provisions to frustrate the g of the PIB therby making sure other goodies that come with it aren't enjoyed by the owners of the oil.

With all the pollution right?

And the fact that it is exhaustable. Just 1mw for 50 years.....ridiculous
I guess you prefer the pollution from your millions of rusty generators all over the country. Developed nations like US, UK. , CHINA, South Africa etc are using coal to generate electricity, industrialize their countries and give their people comfortable lives, while a typical suffering and smiling Nigerian probably inhaling generator fumes as I type this is talking about pollution.
What unbelievable irony!

I stopped reading the whole thing where they fool said the north should DECIDE and DICTATE the politics of NIGERIA. They are just scamming us with the six geo-political zone thingy. We have 3 major tribes Yoruba,Igbo and Hausa. Where was he when both Sambo and Tambuwal became VP & S.HOR, are they not northerners? Yes,but they will say they are not from the same geo-political zone which is a pure scam to deceive other tribes.
You haven't see anything yet, if they succeed in getting the 19 northern states united, after Buhari it will be the turn of the North east, then North central, then a North west christian, then a North east muslim, then they will start rotating it among the 19 states. I just hope you Yorubas are ready to continue ing them with the numbers and the 5 other states they need to get the 25% in 2/3 constitutional provision. My people were neither afraid nor ashamed to declare that APC had a northern agenda as far back as 2 years ago and this man has just confirmed that.

No one should complain about this. When the Tinubus were backing the north to produce the President, their calculation was that all 19 states of the north will unite behind a northern candidate and the South west will only need to insert a few votes to ensure victory and then get some form of reward, they chose the easy route. This man is only trying to cement that arrangement by making sure the north becomes even more united in voting.

If you are mathemathically oriented and know probabilities not to mention human attitudes, consider and then define the functional relationships between the interacting variables :a,b,x,yt and qt
Where
a=increased number of micro power stations
b =corresponding increase in number on trucks required to transport the gas to the micro stations
x= weighted factor of the increase in geographical distance and spread between the micro stations and the gas source
yt=weighted factor of ( the reduction) of human safety effectiveness over time giving with the attendant geometrical increase in the number of trucks on the roads all over nigeria
qt=probability of a major incident involving any number of the now thousands of trucks on the road being hazardous to life.

If you are half as smart as you believe you are (I MAKE NO JUDGEMENTS ON YOUR INTELLIGIENCE OR LACK OF IT MIND YOU) , all sorts of alarm bells would be ringing in your head by now.
I am typing with my phone now so I can't reply your drivel in details, however let me point some things out to you:
1. On the issue of trucks on the road - steady power supply will reduce Nigerians consumption of petroleum products, this means a reduction in the frequency of restocking filling stations with this products which in turn reduces the number of petroleum tankers on the road. In essence, these power stations might just reduce the number of trucks on the road rather than increase it.
2. On the issue of safety, condensed natural gas is so light that it easily evaporates in the event of a spill or leakage.
You have not made any tangible point against this model really.

This here is why I say the laws of physics and economics not to mention safety issues will knock reality back into their heads.
You do not think we can start seeking efficiency but you would rather have massive trucks hauling pressurised and highly flamable gas all over the roads in the country?
Am I the only one who sees the assuredly inherent disarster of epic proportions in this plan of theirs.
Highly inflammable petroleum products are transported to several parts of the country everyday. Besides, I saw one of those condensed natural gas (CNG) trucks in Aba few weeks back, it is very portable and looks light, unlike your everyday petrol tanker trucks. I don't think it constitutes a problem at all.

It is a good idea, but it is unfortunate that we only hear it from Osibanjo and never once from Buhari. Isn't this the kind of competitive idea the north loves fighting against? We are already getting calls from that area for the power sector to be returned completely to government hands.
