My husband is NOT a DAAD scholar.

The only thing we did was we used the DAAD method. A spouse of a DAAD scholar here was gracious enough to tell me what the content of the letter they take to the embassy was. (SHOUT OUT TO YOU MA.. THANKS!!!)

My spouse then approached the HR at his office to give us a letter to the embassy.

They wrote a letter stating his name, my name, that i was his wife, my port number, the residence permit he has, his work capacity, how much he earns and that he is able to put me under his insurance , sustain me and put me in a language school over there. They also added that they would want me to him by January 2022.

All of this was typed on a letter in deutsch with their own letterhead which we mailed the embassy with (this got us a date for interview). I also took a hard copy of same letter to the embassy for my interview, even though it wasn't requested(the interviewer was quite rude), i made sure i dropped it off.

I don't know how helpful this is but please if your SPOUSE ain't a scholar but works. PLEASE LET YOUR SPOUSE TRY AND APPROACH THE HR AT HIS WORKPLACE FOR A LETTER.

I don't think the marriage date affected verification though... Afterall, going through the thread has shown that marriage prior travel didn't stop people from the long wait or verification. I think since the letter from my spouse's workplace already called me his wife, they just agreed that it was.

This is not true. I have Dom and I withdraw my foreign currency anytime I want.

No Nigerian bank will allow you withdraw foreign currency.

You can only deposit and transfer, You can never withdraw.

So just do all the calculations well before you deposit the funds.

Also, some banks allow you transfer all the amount in the Dom and even take the transfer charges from a Naira . Standard Chattered allows this.

For other banks, just deposit and know how much you can let go.

Provided it is not one week close, you can cancel it at anytime and apply for a new one anytime also.

I will advise that you hold on till your first ission letter drops to avoid discrepancies in your enrollment date as you will have to pick this date from the ission letter.

I applied for msc molecular biology and evolution through uniassist at Kiel not that I liked the course but I did spend the money to apply because they promised to release ission very early to enable students get visa in time but uptil now no ission... I never knew Kiel can be this slow in releasing ission.

I ed them and they said they would release first set of AL this months(months ending latest).

Some schools are just too ridiculously slow, I applied to University of Applied Science Fulda since February 2019 till now it is just showing "Your application is under processing".

For guys who have been using uniassist portal, pls help me clarify thid. I have already applied for a course and submitted on the portal but have not paid the 75 Euros processing fee. My problem is I want to use a different motivation letter as I am not ok with the initial one I used. Do I need to withdraw the entire application and start again or I should just delete the old motivation letter and replace it with a new one.

As advice earlier , don't delete the whole application just go to the menu on uniassist and delete the motivation letter you don't like and replace it with the new one.

You definitely have to write 5 different motivation letters as you have to be specific in your reason of choosing the school in your letter also.
