Ok, no offense but I asked because the CSS is pretty simple and I felt that if it was getting the svg icons that is the problem, then you should visit https://icomoon.io and generate it.

Then the CSS

nav{
display: table;
padding:0;
margin:0;
background:#333;
border-top:3px solid #936;
overflow:auto;
width:100%;
}
nav ul{
list-style-position:none;
width:100%;
display:table-row;
}
nav ul li{
display: table-cell;
width:16.5%;
border-left:1px solid #666;
vertical-align:middle;
}
nav ul li:first-child{
border-left:none;
}
nav ul li a{
padding:20px;
font-size:16px;
text-align:center;
color:#ddd;
display:block;
text-transform:uppercase;
text-decoration:none;
}
nav ul li a svg.icon{
display:inline-block;
font-size:30px;
color:#0CC;
}
nav ul li a span{
display:block;
clear:both;
}

.icon {
display: inline-block;
width:1.09em;
height:1.09em;
line-height:1;
fill: currentColor;
}

The HTML

<nav>
<ul>
<li>
<a href="#">
<svg class="icon"><use xlink:href="svgdefs.svg#icon-bi"></use></svg> <span>Bi, Data & Analytics</span>
</a>
</li>

<li>
<a href="#">
<svg class="icon"><use xlink:href="svgdefs.svg#icon-erp"></use></svg> <span>ERP CRM</span>
</a>
</li>

<li>
<a href="#">
<svg class="icon"><use xlink:href="svgdefs.svg#icon-security"></use></svg> <span>Information Security</span>
</a>
</li>

<li>
<a href="#">
<svg class="icon"><use xlink:href="svgdefs.svg#icon-architecture"></use></svg> <span>Architecture & Stratergy</span>
</a>
</li>

<li>
<a href="#">
<svg class="icon"><use xlink:href="svgdefs.svg#icon-energy"></use></svg> <span>Energy Technology</span>
</a>
</li>

<li>
<a href="#">
<svg class="icon"><use xlink:href="svgdefs.svg#icon-technology"></use></svg> <span>Information Technology</span>
</a>
</li>

</ul>
</nav>

The HTML above assumes that you named the svg file generated from icomoon, svgdefs.svg and it is inside the same directory as the HTML file.
Also the line <use xlink:href="svgdefs.svg#icon-technology"> for example assumes that the icon for Information Technology Menu is linked to #icon-technology in the svg definition file so be ready to modify that part to suit what you generated.
Again I did not specify the @fontface for the font used for that menu.
Thanks Onyegbu, I really appreciate your time, but I want to do mine the same way it was done on that website, EXACTLY, they use <svg></svg> tags if you checked the source code

What exactly is your challenge. Is it the css or getting the svg icons?

If you have been following this thread , you would know the challenge, however, incase you have not been following it, achieving that type of menu structure is the challenge.

cheers

i think those icons are fon-awesome.
You should uber menu. making this kinda menu with uber menu is alot easier and safer than injecting the code straight at your header.php

Thanks for the atempt to help , but this wont help, try and visit the link i posted.
Those objects showing are not images, they are SVG.

Thanks though

webzyweb:
First you can create a div and give it a class and also specify a background image.

then create a class for the icons and the list items value.

in the class for the li items you will create, give it a right-border of your choice pixels.

<div class="nav">
<ul>
<li><"icon img src"></br><a href="link1"</a></li>
<li><"icon img src"></br><a href="link1"</a></li>
<li><"icon img src"></br><a href="link1"</a></li>

misayada:
Just came across this, if you are in doubt.

My house has been using 4 solar s, 4 batteries with the inverter and it has worked very well though just for two months now. We tried it once when there was no nepa light for two days and it lasted for us. No generator at all, but we reduced the load (no AC, no Freezers, just one fridge) In my opinion, use of solar should be well promoted. We complain of the hot sun, at least let us make it work for us.

P.S: I am no in business with these guys, I just came across the post and decided to share my first hand experience.

Thanks misayada,

Even the Tesla solution is just battries, like you said, solar s are not included in the cost.

3500 dollars is 693,875 according to http://www.oanda.com/currency/converter/ as at today

our batteries are like N60,000 for ten batteries, you will pay 600,000, can you see the difference in of price?

and again, new products like the tesla batteries are not reliable...it can be considered as a test project
clementcro(m): 5:15pm On May 04, 2015
stagger:

OP,

laudable project you have here. But you do realize that Tesla has just launched its Tesla Powerwall which will cost $3,500 for a 10kva battery which can be charged overnight on solar power or electricity (cost of not included) once it goes on sale in August. This will challenge your solutions seriously in of price and portability (30 batteries in one house?).

So what are you going to do about this? I am talking as a long investor. I have some pieces of land in a town where there is a federal polytechnic and I will be investing in solar solutions to power the hostels I will build. I am a forward thinking person but I only go ahead with such projects at the best price.

What are the prices for your solar solutions?

I also know about the Tesla power cell you are talking about, but you know what? it is not advisable to rush into a new product, 70-90percent of new products always fail expecialy when new released.

I would advise you use the normal batteries + inverter + solar for your project.

Please call send a mail to me on [email protected] , I have some other advise to also give you on your hostel projects.

Thanks

Buddy change your topic and how can you charge your inverter or battery without generator for sure you know that there is no NEPA??

YOu can charge your batteries with solar energy, look at the thread, above are filling stations that only run on Solar energy, no nepa, no generator,they run on energy from the sun.

OK?

The cheapest unit in the Op is 90k... i. e minus solar while gen can be had for as cheap as 15k Lol.

Besides I observed a very serious problem with solar technology that people always fail to mention.

1.Solar s don't last long except maybe the hyper expensive ones.

2.Solar charging destroys batteries really fast.Batteries that cost you so much never get to last on solar.

YOu are Very wrong.

Number one, if you buy a generator for 15k, think about cost of fueling it everyday, letz say you use 1k fuel everyday, for 1 month that is 30k
so for the next 3 months you would have spent 90k on only fueling, the cost of monthly servicing is not even calculated here, can you see now?

concerning solar s lasting longer, they can last up to 25-30 years

Futhermore, solar charging does not destroy battery, you need more information about solar and batteries, you need to be enlightened , go and get more information, do not come here and spoil people's business.

Lots of houses are using solar s in nigeria and it is working for them.

Just wondering why our 99% percent of our websites and applications are based on some wysiwyg cms or framework. The sites with high traffic in Nigeria are mostly e-commerce sites and blogs running on one platform that was developed by some white guy somewhere.
Even simple non-dynamic html sites are built from templates in Nigeria. We are the Giants of Africa and this practice is won't up our game in the web development industry if u ask me.
Is it that we are scared of coding or we are dull?

Please CMS lovers do not insult me if you don't like what am saying.

OP, why are you digging your digging your well with digger when you have a borehole drilling machine?

Why are you sweeping your roads with brooms when you have a machine that sweep roads called sweeper?

Why are you grinding your pepper with grinding stone when you have a blender ?

Answer all these.....

Your title stated solar power but your breakdown list did not capture anything solar.

Thanks for your observation, if you need solar, send us an email, we will send you a quotation.

Solar integration is an additional cost, it will be more expensive than inverter and battery.

Will d 1.5kva carry one flat wt different appliances like deep frezer, air condition, televisions, Dstv, etc. For how long wll it last before d b3 wll run down

It is not advisable to put your Air conditioners on batteries, it wiill reduce the life span of the batteries.

Furthermore, 1.5kva is too small for freezer.

These are the appliances your 1.5kva can power Television lcd or led, dstv, sound system , and up to 3 energy saving bulbs, it can last up to 10hours-16hours when fully charged.

If you want to power your freezers, then go for 3.5kva upwards
