Find Out!:

Sorry, but Islam is NOT evil. Like someone up there rightly pointed out, if shariah law was in place, the killers themselves will be killed. Islam doesn't the killing of innocents. Even in warfare, the muskims r not supposed to harm the innocent men who r not at the battlefront, not to talk of women and children. If you know little about Islam, maybe its better you ask questions (which would probably have been answered on many threads here on NL), rather than make not nice comments. And if i ask you now, you'll claim to be a christian who isn't guilty of religious intolerance.

Oh, and for the umpteenth time, BOKO HARAM IS (most probably) POLITICAL. It soo painfully obvious. Even the person killed above is an Alhaji.

May God guide them to see the light and stop these killings.

guy you make my heart bleed. sorry about thee strong criticisms your religion suffers but your fellow Muslims aren't helping and you'll agree with me that to non-muslims, today's world is overwhelmed with islam and heinous crimes going together. now what's the difference between islamsts and mexican drug lords?

well well well, as for me, I'll give that tag "most enlightened" state to it. the state merits it but I'm suprised how so many of us just missed the point. alright, i'm not a psychologist but i beleive general enlightenment comes first from level of education, then interraction. these two factors helps an individual to 'refine' their thoughts and blends out to yeild innovation. historically, we know lagos used to be nigeria's capital. this status attracted a lot of 'educated' nigerians from all parts of the country. intellectuals from every culture brought their ideas and uniquess to the city. also, being the capital also meant that there was a lot of interraction with foreigners and being a port city was another huge influence (it was and still is a center of commerce). for those same reasons, london, new york et al. today, the trend is still very much in play. every foreign company touches down first in lagos. every creative nigerian believes they have better opportunities in lagos. every new technology gets to lagos first and all that jazz. personally, i'm a designer and even now, friends still ask if i wouldn't like to go to lagos; that i'm better off being there. those who don't know me well assume i'm a lagosian. i love sampling the suprise on their faces when they learn i'm not, never was and probably, never will be.

Oh boy, this is sooo lame. In a bid to get back at the guys who put together "10 most annoying things women do in the club", this porter has successfully made a complete fool of herself and those ing her. Are you this timid? Do you even understand the meaning of the word "disgusting" Gosh?
"10 most annoying things women do, " was original.
@Poster: your points are as lame as they are ridiculous. Get a life for timidity and the urge to retaliate any criticism is so not it and will take you nowhere.

Well, as for me, I like my noodles with sardines and a sizable amount of onion just to give it that floating taste. Then enjoy it with bread slices and hollandia yoghurt. Or
2. As someone mentioned earlier, cut some goat meat into little pieces and cook with peppersoup spices and seasonings then add your noodles. WARNING! Do not allow it to dry - e no go sweet. Then serve in a deep china. Finish the meat and noodles then (oh my favorite part) hold up you bowl and drink up your peppersoup - naruto style.

undecided For this man to have come this low, I believe the woman in question must have fallen lower. It's the man's action that is evident therefore whatever the woman did to push the man overboard will at the moment be forgotten. I'm not a wife basher and I don't encourage same but maybe when we finally get to hear the man's side of story, all we might end up saying could just be: "well, "
Some women are devils o, make no mistakes. It only takes an unusual man to cope with such. Until I hear the man's side of the story, I'm not going to say whether he's an animal or whether she deserved it.

Victor is just two and isn't eating as he should. He's so thin and refuses everything from custard to chocolate drink. He hates eggs and anything containing "palm oil" so no soups. He manages to eat white rice, noodles and golden morn. Bread he sees as a snack. Fish, meat, beans, milk, fruits are all abomination. You try to make any conventional food, he rejects all of them. The new one he just picked up lately is "I don't want". Everything you give him - I don't want. Except caprisonne which he can drink tanker-load do. Please, what can be done about this child? He's so pale. But he's not weak or lazy. He plays all day and you keep hollarin every minute for him to STOP jumping from pillar to post!

If this is indeed implemented, it wil be a welcome development. It's high time the noise STOPPED. It is a menace. Churches and mosques to start with then these CD merchants will be next in line.

Mr "Special adviser", this shouldn't just end with the "initial gra-gra" O. Ensure that it is implemented then Lagos state will score another first.

My God! Where's this country heading to? How many of you have actually seen the pictures on this site?

http://anglicandioceseofjos.org/dogo.html

Who could do this? The people who did this are worse than animals. Who should be held responsible? Someone has to pay. At this point we as Nigerians should redefine what and who we are as a people and do what is necessary to put an end to this.
ChuckD2(m): 2:20pm On Jan 23, 2010
Nigerians please sit down and think. Are we going to wake up one day just to find our normal way of life gone? We wake up in the morning, clean ourselves up, prepare something to eat and head off for the day's business. We meet nice people in the office, share problems, laughter, pleasant moments, come home to the ones we love and progress in life. Are we going to wake up one day to see ourselves in a situation like the one in Rwanda? Scores of people who used to be our neighbours, the woman down the road that we buy noodles from, the man that fixes the car for us, that carpenter we call when we need him, all of then on the street DEAD with their kids. The street deserted, no work anymore, no markets, no morning traffic, no newspaper stand, everything ceasing because of an ethnic war.

This thing happening in the North should now be addressed O.  Sometime last year, there was a story on NTA Sunday Newsline where in Sokoto, children who were in chains, were made to read the Koranday-in-day-out. Their only education. Now imagine someone that has been raised like that - all his life,he has been brainwashed - being told when he's 20 or 25 that his sole purpose in life will be to massacre the "infidels" in the south since they are the cause of his sufferings. Some people speculate this might be the next generation of "boko harams".

It is unfair for southerners to be killed everyday in the north and no one says nothing about it. The government of the day simply sweep it under the carpet. Youth corpers, businessmen and women, property owners, government workers, every southerner. (imagine raping and killing a corper because she's wearing tros and now this) It is getting out of hand O. it is getting out of HAND OOOOO!!!

To The God-haters.

So far, so many of you (God-haters) have been arguing with those who believe in Him and even going as far as presenting videos to buttress your claims. No matter how much you argue, no matter how much you try to blind yourselves and turn deaf ears to what those who know He exist have to say, you still can never rule out the fact that He exist. Banish the thought; Yes! Someday, I hope, you will come to realize how wrong you guys have all been.

If creation was a myth, how come living organisms can't survive in other planets when it has been known that organisms are found in Antarctica and volcanic cinder holes at the bottom of oceans. If you think the environment existing in other planets is too hash for living organisms to thrive, then I say this to you: " The big bang theory should've produced a parallel life form that is well adapted for those environment and judging from the scientific age of our entire galaxy, that would've been enough to produce in the least, developed life forms.

The earth is unique because it was designed just like an Ipod is unique because it was well designed. please guys (god-haters, y'all know yourselves), this argument is worthless if you really sit down to consider what you're saying.

Let one of you show me a life form from another planet and we can end this religious thinking.

Noah's story is a myth ands the event ONLY happened on the pages of the hebrew bible and no where else. Natural disasters in my opinion are just part of the world we live in and humans must accept them and live with that fact. No god predicted anything because no god exists any where beside the pages of religious text and the imaginations of those that subscribe to the hypothesis.

Do you really think that by rejecting the existence of God, people become a wiser, happier and more fulfilled? Can science or logic really explain everything that exists? I really do not have anything to lose by believing in God neither will you. But what if,  just what if He's not a myth? I know Nairalanders will not see you when you think about this but it wouldn't hurt you if you decide to ponder His existence when it's quiet.

First thing: That pastor should be stoned but for the love of Christ, let's forgive his greed 'cause it might be a weakness he's fighting against. But please, Whatever comes from your heart and makes you happy (both go together) is what I recommend you do. As a punishment for pastors like that - for those of us who may still feel he should be taught a lesson - I recommend that you take that "first fruit", show it to the pastor and tell him you're going to give it all to orphans. Make bile for rise enter im mouth because of im greed.

To the atheist; you think those who believe in God (or more specifically - Christians) are mindless fools. Always wanting to explain their experiences or occurrences with their "stupid" beliefs. Good for you, just for you. You see as an individual, I know you're entitled to your own opinions but criticizing other people in the way you're doing, it's really not the best. You can criticize all you want sha but if there's anything I can tell you, that'll be: These occurrences have been predicted a long long time ago and according to these predictions, they're only going to get worse. Do not be surprised if the next natural disaster will level the entire Lagos as you know it today (that one go bad sha O). If you think you're enlightened, those that lived during Noah's time and the inhabitants of Soddom & Gommorah (if my spellings are correct) thought they too were enlightened. One last thing, if nairaland was a forum then, I seriously doubt that some who perished would not have posted something similar to yours. I leave you all to your beliefs, just don't regret it. , if only I believed.

When you speak or write in "Naijeeze" or Pidgin English, do you find the spellings confusing? Why are there so many variations in spellings? Do you find the style used in radio adverts interesting? Do you say "help" or "helep", "abeg" or "I beg", "where you dey?" or "where you day?" Do you prefer to call it "broken", "pidgin" or like me - Naijeeze? I think we as Naija people should work on this unique language of ours and maybe someday, we can have documents published in it. Let's see what you guys think and post your usages and suggestions on what the correct Naijeeze should be.

We'll all die someday so what's the big deal? She has cancer so you should pray that she dies quickly and without pain instead of staying alive and suffering. And please in your prayer, don't forget to include her husband to the list too. He too should die quickly and without pain, LOL grin

Guys, you should see the N10 note that I have. The suya guy that gave it to me messed it up. It looks older and dirtier than the old notes. I think they should have also made the N10 note polymer as well. , The idea of leaving it in paper sucks. undecided

angryI do not know about other places in Nigeria but here in Benin we have ehat we call "washee". This is exactly what NTA has turned into. An hour that lots of Nigerians just sit down to waste. The NTA (in my opinion) should be scrapped! angry Bunch of lilly-livered, chicken-hearted journalists.
