I didn’t vote in 2019 and had no plans to vote this year until tinubu came out January 2022. Na so I start to Dey rush and then reapplied online for my lost PVC. You won’t believe me it took me till end of January 2023 to get it all because of the belief and confidence I have in Tinubu.

All the stress I went through to pressure and settle inec staff to fast track my PVC, fuel spent driving to the offices, physical stress, and to finally staying in hotel for both the presidential and governorship election so I could vote (there was no time to change my polling unit)

I appreciate Tinubu and his incoming istration but completely loathe Sanwo and APC Lagos. They don’t deserve to continue to rule Lagos. I regret voting for him in Lagos. I hope in 2027 we can sweep APC out of Lagos in favor of a Conservative government that will put Yoruba first and not sell out our brothers in Lagos. How do you ignore indigenes for the train driver jobs and other jobs in Lagos and then give those same jobs to outsiders and party men? That 700 naira price i mentioned earlier is pure speculation cos I don’t know exactly how much it would cost per liter but it would definitely be over 500 naira per liter if subsidy was removed today. the war in Ukraine is the reason for high cost of fuel and diesel

Before the war started last February I used to buy diesel for 300 naira per liter now diesel is about 750. So once the war ends, the price of fuel and diesel will fall. So once subsidy is removed and the war ends, diesel will be 300 naira and fuel like 300 too assuming a barren of oil falls back to price pre invasion of Ukraine

A liter of fuel is like 800 naira equivalent in Ghana I think cos fuel is deregulated over there.

That said, the billions of dollars saved plus dangote refinery going live will ensure the money will be better channeled to infrastructure, development, strengthening the naira, increasing our foreign reserves, increase our GDP (no more importation of fuel) etc.

Fuel deregulation = removing fuel subsidy = allowing the private sector/market forces determine/control the price of fuel.

Government should not determine the retail price of fuel… just imagine government determining the price of internet data? That would be crazy.

Petrol is subsidized that’s why it cost 165naira/liter while diesel is not subsidized/deregulated that’s why it’s 750naira/liter. Government is paying the subsidy for petrol while it’s not paying subsidy for diesel, that’s why diesel is more expensive. They retail price for petrol will be like 700 once the subsidy is removed so let’s get ready for that.

Nigeria spends about 10 billion dollars annually on subsidy. That money would be channeled to other areas of the economy for growth.

It's the point I've been trying to make since yesterday and I'm glad someone else sees it my way. As a Yoruba man living in Lagos, I have so many Igbo friends from childhood till now and I could never think, talk less of writing such hate speech.

The fact that Brymo says he'll not apologize means his Igbo friends have talked to him and so I'm forced to believe that this animal Brymo is deciding to betray everything around him for money. He's no different from the Lagos touts that flip vehicles over for Tinubu for 500 naira.

Every now and then, the records are set straight so that the real owners (Yorubas) of bragging rights that ignore to use it are once in awhile recognized for their brilliance and entrepreneurial spirits, while the Igbos, who are not doing badly but are quick to bring up the argument, take their seats after being shown data. Well, that is until another uninformed lad comes along to start the whole argument all over again.

For instance, the UK and US immigrants and spoken-languages data have shown that Yorubas are the largest immigrants in their midst, which means they are the most travelled Africans. But Igbos continue to claim that title loudly without any ing data.

Another example was the Panama papers leak where about 70% of the Nigerians shown to have the biggest investments offshore are Yorubas. What of tech, banking, medicine, industry, the Yorubas are still there whether as leaders or co-equals. This therefore indicates that no matter how you slice it, the Yorubas, though usually modest about wealth as required by their cultural adages, are the real top guys unbeknownst to most Nigerians. But those who know know, especially foreigners who have learnt to differentiate the various tribes based on their own experience and trends.
