We made a deliberate decision not to have kids for now and we doing fine and happy. Family respects our decision. Have kids only when you can.
CAPSLOCKED:

STOP PLAYING YOURSELF. SHOW ME ONE MARRIAGE IN THIS COUNTRY WHERE THE COUPLES DELIBERATELY DON'T HAVE KIDS.

LET'S EVEN PRETEND THAT NIGERIANS DON'T HAVE RELATIVES WHO START SPRINGING UP FROM ALL ANGLES ONCE A PERSON IS MARRIED.

I finally read the indictment, all those thinking this is a conspiracy theory are actually programmed to worship and envy illicit wealth. It's obvious from the indictment he laundered money on behalf of those that looted us dry in this country and to this effect he should go and defend the allegations against him and also prove the source of the millions of dollars.

Since he doesn't go physical on you, it might be easy to handle if you are actually ready to make it work. The thought of trying to seek attention outside speaks volume of your character. You claim he is always wrong, that's your own side though since we didn't hear from him. If you really want to make it work play the fool for sometime, don't say the last word, apologise when you notice his ego is bruised or angered, show him love and care for a period of time. Trust me, after sometime this trying phase will and you guys will be happy ever. Finally, avoid taking advice from your feminist friends. All these are only necessary if you want it to work but if you think otherwise the decision is yours.

Grades are for social sciences and arts. In medical sciences and physical sciences they don't count, it all depends on how much stuff u have upstairs. I have seen people with very low intellect get 2:1. No thanks to private universities who issue most of this result to compensate parents for money spent. Don't let ur grades define you.

Not everyone get married because of this sole reason. It shouldn't be a criteria to send her packing. Some persons get married because they see a partner in the person. Babies are product of a union and shouldn't be the only reason for the union.
donstan18:
I don't know for women, but I strongly believe that children are one of the major reasons why most men settle down.

Reason the day a man becomes a father is more memorable than his wedding day.

So I think it's proper not to wait for anything before making babies, especially these days where 70% of slay queens are womb-less. Start immediately to help you know if you married a fertile woman or not.

In fact, any lady that fails to take in at most, 2 months after wedding should be questioned or sent packing.

Forget societal pressure nonsense, have a kid only when you can afford to raise one. No one will take up your responsibilities because you are following African norms. I have been married for more than a year, we not not ready for a baby yet. No one has the right to pressure you into raising kids. Let's stop all this African mindset that has taking us backwards.

Who cares about having plenty money in your bank . Same reason why Africans dwell in corruption, everyone wants money to out shine the other. The essence of life is having access to what you need to be comfortable while alive. That is what the American society provides. It doesn't matter how much you have, no matter how much cash you have the end phase of life is death.

The point am trying to make is that most Nigerian business don't have foundation or critical manpower development to bring about sustainable growth. The growth you see most times is dependent on the influence of the owner which is tied to those peculiar factors I mentioned in my post. I know someone that took over his Dad's business but coundn't understand the tricks his Dad plays to get product. If Nigerian business are ran genuinely without corrupt practices you will see business that survive a 100 years. Look out for "CNN 100 club"
CeterisXVIII:

Nigerian-owned businesses don't succeed after the death of the founder, because such founders do not put in place a valid and structured succession plan in place, while they are still alive.

Another thing is that many of them are polygamists, with multiple wives and many children.

After they die, these wives, children and relatives start fighting for a piece of the property that the founder left behind. Before you know it, the business dies as everyone grabs a piece of its' assets, for themselves.

Others go to court and get a lien placed on the property, or raise a caveat against the man's will. The case lingers in court for many years, while the business eventually dies through lack of proper supervision. sad

The reasons are too many. The last one that always upsets me, is that these founders send their kids abroad to study and those kids eventually build their own lives abroad, instead of acquiring skills to come back and run their father's business. undecided Some kids even end up being strangers to their fatherland. And parents of such kids indulge them, in their foreign pursuits.

By the time such parents who founded the companies die, the kids come back and are out of touch with all their father's built or laboured for, because they were not part of its' growth, in the first place. Those kids have no intention of staying back, and have absolutely no interest in the business. cry

Tell me, how will such businesses then survive?

Majority of these CEO in Nigeria made their money by getting inflated government contracts, defrauding people, cheating the Nigeria system, laundering money for politicians and finally going diabolic to become invisible so they can enjoy their loot. How many Nigerian private business survive after the exit of the owner. Nigeria is a scam!

As long as we are divided along religious and tribal lines but United in corruption we can never have a successful protest in Nigeria that will bring about change. My simple advice is that if you can't become rich in Nigeria, kindly run away to another country and be a second class citizen or even illegal immigrant. There is no hope in this country.

Na so e easy to disvirgin person. Make we hear word,

Time dakolo, his wife and all the yeye celebrities that condemning fatoyinbo are mad.
U stay in one corner for over 14 years u didn't say sh*t, how can someone without a gun r*pe busola home and away?
Just imagine, person come your house, u wear only night gown open door knowing fully well no one is home, why not simply tell him through the window the people he's looking for weren't around and go put up something?
U still went to his house, take u to car bumper and romp u in doggy and u call it rape?
Kwara state law says 16 years is the official year for consenting and u said u were 17 shey?
The lady still remain in the church for over 2 years and still lead in the choir haba.
If u are raped, the first thing to do is to tell your parents, your parents should take u to a doctor for examination and a medical report written, then to police or dss for arrest and possibly persecution....
What's paining me is the lie that just a tap to the mouth to keep quite and she fell on the couch to be disvirgin as if it's a small thing...

My problem with most youth is that they don't think critically, that's why they are swindled by God of men and politician. A 17year old is not a kid, most 17year old are in 100lvl in the university.

Someone said the reason He believed her is because she has no reason to lie...hehehe.

Protest over allegation? He should arrest most of them and make huge money from this case please.

All the incidence of poor kids been raped in Naija, I have never seen any celebrity respond or donate to them having a better life. Naija Is full of misplaced priorities. I stand for justice for all. I hate it when people try to be relevant because of the victim involved. Humanity is equality to all. I guess Naija is a country for only the rich the rich and famous. Sincerely, am more bothered about the deprived kids and people in our society. Let's go off social media drama, it doesn't improve the quality of life of the average Nigeria.

I get your point

but get mine too

The western world has a conducive enviorment for business
and the laws to labour....
everything is in place

Nigeria on the other hand has everything scattered from the business environment to the Labour laws

if we are to fix these things
it has to be a holistic approach...

Paying "livable wages" to workers when the same govt will raid you with various taxes to pay, in addition to fuel costs and other crazy costs due to jaga jaga nature of Nigeria will NOT work.

we need a complete overhaul....
hope you get me.

I run businesses myself in different countries and I Know how it is
Chill2: 2:39pm On Jun 26, 2019
I had to respond to you because I think you don't get my point. In other climes people only hire an employee when they can conveniently pay what is stipulated. My point is that most of your celebrated elite are ripping off the ordinary Nigerian because we are in a society where nobody cares about the quality of life of the average citizen. "Cheap labour is dehumanizing, try get a nanny when you visit the western world and ask yourself why is that expensive"
Ugosample:

go start up your company and grow it as you like I'm contemporary Nigeria , and then pay your staff what you like, if you don't like the "contract staff job:" and you think it's "easy to set up"

Smart comment, most CEO in Nigeria reap off their employee that's why poverty keep growing. If they actually pay the right wage and benefit some will just be on the borderline of wealth, some don't even pay shareholders. What a shit of a country. Is a pity Nigerians have accepted their fate.

If we had good labour laws that would make sure workers get paid right and get the actual health care benefits they deserve, people wouldn't be struggling so much just to feed despite working from 7-7.

If i didn't have training in medical science, I would have thought our problem is genetic but the truth remains that the average person born and raised in this geographic space called "Nigeria" has an acquired trait specific for greed, criminality and the love of money at all cost. This is why we can NEVER have a good society. Personally, am doing all I can not to have a child in this space. This is not a country.
