Cold war between the North and the south.... Let me see how the south will respond? Will they take it as a coward? Or respond appropriately?

In all honesty this is ridiculous. Basically there won't be any issue of strike if the fg was committed in doing what needed to be done for the universities on time and not necessarily waiting for her hand to be bend back. Prior before this time I believe the issue of strike was not in existence from 1992-1990s. But due to govt negligence a union has to be form to take care of her . Why this is memorable it is really not sufficient. The issue of strike in the public universities in the territory of Nigeria has make her a laughing stock to West Africa, Africa and the world at large. Then one need to ask to what point are all these? I could vividly when I newly gained my university ission in 2012, the strike lasted for close to a year. Yet the ASUU people got the benefits and the students nothing, but stale books and home or work busynes which necessarily have not to be so. Even in 2017 before graduation there was still strike we managed to finish our exams but to what purpose? Fighting for a better pay and better equipment? Which necessarily have not to be so. Now the same thing happening again in 2020. The students are tired, they are not gaining anything out of it, won't the welfare of the students be a primary concern for both parties? This just show the irresponsibility of the two parties involved, it is really uncalled for and disdainful in all forms. Let the students go back to the education that they want, and later start looking for jobs that is not available!! But for the sake of mental development and critical thinking it's necessary to go to school. |

A prophet is not respected in his house hold. Thus, Nigeria is a typical example of such statement. Why do most Nigerians prefer second hand UK use or America use to A brand new Nigeria own? That concept of not good enough or inferiority complex is running deep down from one generation to another. |

It was one serving president that said this. "Any security issues that last more than a year know that the government hand is in it" I might not have quote it the same way the person has.

Hi Guys. I'm going to be talking about myself and I need you advice on what to do, because I'm getting tired already. I graduated from school 2018 with a second class upper division in Philosophy, completed my service year mid of last year and I looked for job all through out that year which was unproductive, I had to engage in graphics design which I learnt while in service and later got a remote job as social media and online manger of a particular brand, I had to leave when I got a job offer in Lagos. I have a knack for ICT, infact I served in an ICT firm, I find it fascinating and intriguing to create a known from an unknown. Early this year January to be precise I secured a Job in Lagos with one international firm, due to this covid-19 we were, it was seriously affected. Now I'm of the opinion of going fully into ICT. I know ICT is like a world, you just have to choose the country you will stay. I'm looking at going into fully web development and programming because I have a little knowledge about it. My issues now is I have bills to pay, if I start learning this which will take some time, how will I afford to pay my bills? Take care of necessity and the likes, it's really given me a rough n tough time. I started applying for jobs already in other to have something that brings in money for the now in other to take care of bills and then start learning what I really want to do because I like been perfect and giving my 100% to any task. Right now my logical thinking is running wild, if I have learnt anything from the richest man in Babylon is too seek counsel from wise men. N.Ls you happen to be where I want to seek opinions please kindly advise. |
