Do not despair, but continually improve yourself as you put your faith and trust in God.

Let me share my story - So I and a relative finished from the same faculty some years ago, and due to several factors including a ridiculous uni policy and juvenile deliquency, we only managed to finish with a degree. Of course I was disheartened but we went ahead to serve the nation (NYSC). Soon after, my cousin's dad who was in government was able to secure a job for him with an international NGO operating in our state, despite the class of degree, while I went to the U.K to attempt a fresh degree. Few years later I graduated with a 2.1 (Honours) and immediately proceeded for my MSc which I completed with a Merit. All these cost me at least N30 million in tuition and living expenses as this was when the Naira fell as low as N600 to 1 pound.

Well I returned to Nigeria with my 3 degrees expecting to be the toast of employers, but I kept ing aptitude tests and attending interviews but was unable to get a job due to the Nigerian factor (though i must it I was initially rather choosy considering the magnitude of my investment) until a month ago when I landed an FG job (through connection not merit) which pays next to nothing, but I accepted as a stepping stone to greater heights (if you know how the FG works).

Interestingly while I was bettering myself for the labour market, my cousin had already married, gained significant NGO experience, and only a few weeks ago got a mouth watering (actually an understatement) offer to their mission in the U.S based on his satisfactory performance on the job over the years. With a degree.

Now is this fair? Of course not. Do i regret my choices? Not at all because the exposure, knowledge and experience I gained (worked in insurance for a year during my masters in the UK) has equipped me for greatness and my faith and trust in God assures me that i was only being prepared for the greater exploits, according to his divine purpose, especially as I am working towards establishing a private practice, amidst other entrepreneurial aspirations.

I hesitatingly decided to share this story but I hope it encourages you, with the knowledge that your class of degree does not ultimately determine your altitude in life, but your divine purpose, God's timing and your hunger for success and self improvement. Stop using your friend as a ruler to measure yourself, instead pray & trust in God, think outside the "teaching box" (get relevant professional certifications, attend seminars for networking opportunities, explore entrepreneurship) and you should be fine. Good luck.

I'm glad you shared this, as my failure in school was also due to ignorance and as you put it" uni policy and juvenile deliquency. " I spill but manage to come out wit a 3rd class. The regret still hunt me cos not only was I from a poor home I was actually sponsored by my sister. The fare of God is the only reason I didnt off myself as being unemployed and approaching 3 decades in this world with nothing to show not even a good certificate kills almost everything in you. Post like yours though makes one he/she is not alone in this. And may be the story might change some day. Thank you for sharing

Two things are involved, His car may be equipped with a tracking device which will reveal its location or His phone may be used to track his last location.

I ed vividly the immigration brouhaha. When I saw the crowd, I immediately concluded that I was there to play.

I was corporately dressed so I decided to have fun with the show, come and see crowd.

Test sheet did not go round, so people were making copies of it. In my mind, I was like is this exam? I just form official there, directing them on what and what not to do and they were all saying sir sir! grin

You need to see how graduates were manhandled. It was a pitiable state. I felt like that was the best time for youth revolution but nobody seem to be thinking in my direction.

All in all, it is always good to try despite the odds. Ask baba Ijebu for tutorials on that.

This your post Sir cracked me up grin grin grin

Guess those are some of the perks of being a celebrity.

(After all, didn't Kim Kardashian meet the Commander-in-Chief of the US Armed Forces?)

Curious though: will he actually suspend all gigs for a YEAR?

I doubt that, Davido is just clout chasing grin

Before I opened this thread, I was so sure Diamond Bank and Stanbic IBTC will be among. Sovereignty and financial law of the land must be respected. This will serve as a deterrent to others.

MTN do not own any physical structure in Nigeria. Every sections of their operations has been outsourced long time ago. Their plan is simply to make money and move everything to South Africa.

With such comments, these bunch has confirmed that their brains are lifeless.

Baseless hatred for PMB and terrible attempt at playing opposition has turned them into moronic zombies, incapable of objecting reasoning, always spewing trash. I wonder if they are even educated.

Very irredeemable and pathetic lots.

I couldn't have said it better. Thank you for speaking the truth

What he wrote is pure lies. Someone once posted the major exports of Nigeria during colonization and the North exported the least substance. There's never been a day in Nigeria history have Nigeria depended on North for it's wealth. The reason Northern Nigeria was merged with Southern Nigeria was because the North couldn't substain itself.

Interesting, I guess I really have to do some research, all these debate just dey make me feel dull aswear

stop talking trash. Oil was a later discovery. The British survived on the resources from the North for decades. They simply added the South in 1914 so as to have access to the sea for exportation.
