Ode ni e!

Are adura, alejo, seriki, alubarika etc abooki/Arabic words

The Yorubas had with the Arab traders before the fulani incursion into Nigeria. There are many Arabic words in Yoruba language. Your inferiority complex is making you see fulani in everything in your life including your inability to have a functional brain.

I lose a brain fibre each time you quote me with your moronic blab.

Now swerve.

Are you a moronn

I gave you a list of modern day Yoruba words with Arabic/abooki origins to justify that Emir and Waziri are modern day Fulani words/titles albeit their Arabic origins, yet you are still scratching your feet on the ground like a fowl

What of the Oluwo himself declaring that he wants to be associated with abooki traditional rulers hence adopting their titles

Sugomu ni e!

Arabic words become a modern day fulani word. What shall we not hear on this forum. When will English words become a modern day Hausa words?

Stop quoting me please.

Gambari are the masters of Yoruba on Nigeria, I don't know about who Lord's over the Yorubas abroad.

The north have clearly told the yorubas that the 3 million votes the whole 7 yoruba states gave to Bubu in 2015 is just a little more than the 2 million only 1 northern state gave him.

And more importantly, The great Yoruba man that helped Bubu to win election has been dumped by APC as far back as 2015.

grin.
And igbos are conquered war booty.

Because an inconsequential aboki PDP aired his jaundiced opinion, it's the gospel truth to his slaves like you. The fact is buhari contested 3 times before he was installed by his Yoruba masters. Dumping of Tinubu is just what pained slaves use to console themselves so I am not surprised.

Look, man! You are trying hard.
Modern day use of Emir and Waziri is peculiar to the Fulani of northern Nigeria.
Even the king in question has said he is trying to be one of them.
So what's your point

Adura, Alejo, Alubosa, Alubarika, Wahala, Ladani, Seriki etc etc all have middle eastern/abooki origins. Yet, does that make these words not modern day Yoruba words

So it's now about modern?

Dude give it up you are a low self-esteem dunce.

This is the effect of ipob propaganda. Ibos are conquered slaves in Nigeria, a war bounty. They call you Yorubas slaves in order to make you feel what they feel. They project what they are to you and mess up your mind. That's psychology. This op and many Yorubas are now suffering same.

Yoruba are the masters in Nigeria. No one can become anything in Nigeria without the blessings of Yoruba. Even buhari, who has been winning in the north since 2003 had to be installed by a great Yoruba man.

Fact!

Sorry Mr. 17 -year old, but even Gowon never announced victory, talkless of an Afonja like you who by tomorrow will turn around and say you are now a Fulani emir/abi herdsman.

Do you hear that, laughter, laughter from the streets of North London, who were and continue to be the biggest VICTORS, while you remain in your sh.ithole crying about your soldiers losing eye sight to Boko Haram.

Speaking of Boko Haram, General Shuwa, the most decorated soldier during the war was killed in his Arewa home like a chicken courtesy of Boko Haram, Adekunle who you probably have heard about, died a crack head, and many others that led the Nigger Army then are on record as regretting fighting Biafra, even though it was suppose to just be “POLICE ACTION” lol...

I know you fear Buhari, you fear Buratai, but most importantly you fear the truth that your people will never amount to anything on their own, and would rather hide their slave coast selves in an ambiguous “nation” called Nigeria...

FACTS

I Iove your delusion. Meanwhile, the only people who amount to something in Nigeria are the Yoruba. You wail and cry everyday to have what Yorubas have. The best brains, best infrastructure and the most developed part of Nigeria is Yorubaland while your people, who were conquered in the war are still crying for an elusive freedom. You are nothing in Nigeria without visiting Yoruba land. Even your buhari could not become president until he was installed by a Yoruba man.

Fatc!

my intention was to read comments, but I can't help it. People dy talk, yoruba man too dy talk about war. What an irony? The igbos fought against the whole of Nigeria and even though they lost, they showed courage. Yorubas will rather serve the hausas/fulanis than disagree where it pinches them. Them full north scatter, always trying to fit in even when they are clearly shown they are 2nd class citizens. One yoruba guy dy nairaland dy beat chest dy form oduduwa warrior! ogbeni commot for light make I see road.

Note: I ain't yoruba or igbo. The guess is up to you.

They showed courage by running away. Why don't you show courage by telling us where you come from?

The Yoruba voice is the only voice that shakes this nation. The democracy you enjoy today is brought by the courage of Yorubas. Left to ibos, abacha would still be rulling Nigeria. Except you are a kid, you would know that all the activists in Nigeria are Yoruba

Can you show me how Yorubas serve anybody in Nigeria? Meanwhile, every other Nigerian tribes are slaving in Yorubaland to make a living. Being a northerner is a derogatory term for us as Yorubas and all over the world, we are known to be very proud of our culture. so I wonder where you see Yoruba trying to fit in to anywhere else.

resurgentxtian4:
I strongly feel that the religious profiling and wholesale demonization of a voting demography through such appellations like “Yoruba Muslims” or “Fulani jihadists” will only ensure that Buhari’s ers double down on their for the current regime. On numerous occasions, our igbo brothers have made me make some remarks I don’t really mean as a way to spite them for their blackmail of my tribe’s (Yoruba)voting choices.

Just as I was obligated (at some point in history) to the current regime, Nigerian Muslims will also want to ensure that Buhari wins in 2019 to prove a point to the igbos. It is no secret that more than my dislike for igbos, I dread Islam more. My islamophobia is not due to any personal slight done to me by any Muslim but a result of my realization that Muslims can separate their religion from politics thus giving birth to political Islam.

That being said, it is important that we anti regime elements acknowledge that we can’t vote out this regime if we demonize Muslims who have a large voting strength in Nigeria. The task of effecting change in aso rock next year should be a collective one and not circumscribed to a religious or ethnic slugfest. The major contenders for the Presidency in 2019 are Muslims from the north, so why should we demonise some Muslims (notably Yoruba Muslims) for their for Buhari?

I am also guilty for making snide remarks against a whole faith because of the deeds of the President and his Fulani kinfolk. But I have realized that that is a myopic way to tackle the problem of how to vote out this regime. Accordingly, we need to constructively engage and convince Buhari ers who are Muslim of the need to view the politics of 2019 with patriotic lens. We do not oppose this regime because the President is a muslim or Fulani. Rather, we oppose him because he is not good for the continued cohesion and progress of a multi ethnic and religious nation like Nigeria. He’s also inept economically to steer us out of the economic ditch he got us into in the first place.

So, I urge the igbos (I don’t mean to intentionally single out a whole ethnic group but they are the ones guilty of this transgression) to play politics with tact by eschewing the politics of prejudice, blackmail, blame and hasty generalization. We need as much Muslim votes as we can muster to vote out Buhari in 2019. We should resist the temptation of dividing ourselves on ethnic and religious basis in this onerous task to rescue Nigeria. Most of us are still in the process of emigrating but in the meantime, we should make sure that we play our part in ensuring that this regime doesn’t have a second four year stint in the saddle. The consequences of another 4 years for this regime are better imagined than experienced. As it is, Buhari is poised to snatch a re-election due to the lack of cohesion amongst the opposition and the division amongst Nigerians of different religious and ethnic persuasions.

Removing Buhari is not about hate for Islam or Fulani. It is a call to duty for every patriotic Nigerian. If we succeed in getting Buhari out, it is still a Muslim and Fulani that will occupy the Office, just a more liberal and fair one.

Let us stop demonizing Yoruba Muslims who still Buhari as that will radicalize and drive them to the other side (side of the regime). This will inexorably mean we lose large votes that could have been vital to remove Buhari.

Igbos please take note of my advice and your insults are welcome as usual.

Happy Easter. He is risen.

Selah.

Those inferiority complex ravaged religious & ethnic bigots see the North everytime they wake up, drink water and want to mate with their wives.

The truth is they're more even religiously intolerant than the Muslims they condemn. I am saying this as a Christian that has smelt their stink for many years.

People think it's only Muslims that are religious fanatics. But the south easterners take the cake for religious intolerance and fanatism and some low self-esteem, feeble minded individuals from the west are gradually being infected. I have been called Muslim several times on this forum for not being as stupid as they are.

Too many idiots on this forum.

My point is, the guy is overzealous in projecting his Islamic belief over a secular people and a traditional institution. He should simply step down and go take up a full Islamic title.

You lack confidence to speak up and stand by your own. You are dead people already. Continue, you will just succeed in dividing Yorubaland into two and see how you become full time slaves.

I can only pity your messed up state of mind. I pray the evil you wish us comes back to your generation in many folds. People deal with issues here in a civilsed manner. The matter will be in court in a matter of days.
