While i won't encourage or discourage anyone who wants to JAPA, i will like to correct a notion that people are 'TOILET CLEANERS' abroad. There is nothing like toilet cleaners but CLEANERS. Cleaning is one of the common jobs you do abroad and being a cleaner does not mean you will clean toilets, it all depends on the jobs assigned to you and the agency you are working for. their toilets are not as dirty as ours, i have seen that most toilets owned by stores are as clean as our toilets at individual homes in Naija because they have facilities to do the cleaning and they have water, tissues, hand wash, blower, even deodorants in some toilets. This is the same job the whites are doing and they don't attach any big deal to it. I have worked in some places where cleaners are using better cars than the managers, i have also seen some cleaners who make more money than company managers because they own the job and are able to work for 2, 3 different companies in a day. In Naija, we have a different orientatation about jobs and education and that is why we always talk down on some jobs and refer to them as dirty but to the whites, JOB IS JOB and you do any job you like that can fetch you money and peace of mind. I know some oyinbos working in health and still ing themselves with cleaning jobs.
