Isn't it interesting how they refuse to sell us lethal weapons to fight Boko haram but are so interested in our elections?

I think this should be blamed on the present Minister of Aviation if we even have one. No one can take away from the fact that Stella Odouah made major changes in the aviation sector. But somehow since she was removed we haven't heard anything from them. It seems things have reverted to the status quo. What a shame!!!

Before you all start throwing stones, let me make it clear that I Buhari's bid to take over in 2015, which by the way is just 2 weeks away. But beyond all the promises of rooting out and routing corruption, what else does Buhari have to offer? Stopping corruption is simply not enough. Yes, Jonathan has been hopelessly helpless against corruption but during his rule we have seen Nigeria placed on a path of development. I am talking about things like the sanitisation of the banking sector, reforms in the power sector, and development of the transport sector. These are things that place Nigeria on the world map in of development. But it seems Buhari does not really have a plan for Nigeria's future. He is preoccupied with stamping out corruption, whereas we actually have bigger problems. My fear is that, with Buhari, a lot of the progress that has been made (and yes, progress has been made) will be diminished because he will likely revoke many contracts and abandon a lot of the projects his predecessor has started. Buhari is a great upright man and we all know this. Even the PDP knows this. But what is more important than stopping corruption and eliminating Boko Haram is true, world class development. And I wonder if the General has what it takes. |

This is good news. It shows that the Nigerian police is listening. Now more importantly there should be patrols at all times on these roads.

Really hope they are serious this time. The forces that have prevented it from taking off all these years still exist. If Nigeria begins to produce steel we will almost literally be taking money out of their pockets and they won't be excited about that.

Atiku is no fool. He knows he won't win. This might just be a ploy between him and Buhari to keep the latter as the sole apc presidential flagbearer.

This is getting ridiculous. It is becoming increasingly clear that someone is trying to disgrace/discredit the Nigerian Army. How can the Chadian army which is terribly underfunded and poorly equipped rescue abducted people and then boko haram took off? We also heard about the laughable story of Cameroonian forces rescuing a kidnapped General's wife a day or so after she was kidnapped. Yes we all know there are saboteurs and all in the Nigerian Army but unless the entire Nigerian Army are co-conspirators, they cannot be as incompetent as they are being made to look. And boko haram are not as weak as they want us to believe. This is the same boko haram that took over a whole town and pushed back NA forces with tanks. This whole thing smacks of deceit.

You took the words right out of my mouth Hadone: THE ISSUE OF NEGOTIATE OR NOT TO NEGOTIATE WITH WITH BOKOKARAM ARE STRATEGIES EMPLOYED TO KEEP DECIEVING US AND TAKE NO SERIOUS ACTION IN ADDRESSING THE ISSUE. THE FG IS SO GOOD IN GIVING STU;PID EXCUSES LIKE "you cee if i go BOMB sabisa foyest, i go BOMB all d pikin wey dem dey capshure. And Nigerans go blame say i be clueless cos i give d orders" BUT IF YOU CAN ANSWER THIS SIMPLE QUESTION, BEFORE THE CAPTURE OF THE GIRLS SAMBISA WAS A DEN FOR PURELY BOKOHARAM TERORISTS FOR OVER A YEAR. WHY DIDNT YOU ATTACK THEM SINCE? 1 Like |

Here we go again. We talk about corruption every single day of our miserable lives yet 160 million human beings with brains in their heads seem helpless to stop it. What a shame. Corruption in this country called Nigeria has a simple solution. You cannot fight corruption. What you need is to understand it. Why are people corrupt? They are corrupt because they cannot afford the basic things that make life...livable. The car, the good house, childrens school fees, etc. Even on a good salary a Nigerian can not afford these. What we need...is a CREDIT SYSTEM. Yes, the same one that crashed a few years ago in developed countries. Because even with the so-called recession these countries are doing very well, they already have the infrstructure and it won't take a long time to recover. Nigeria needs a credit system or we might as well forget about stopping corruption. 1 Like |

Lol why is this thread so silent? I think we all know deep inside that Babangida definitely knows something about Boko Haram but everybody is tail between legs.

What a disgrace. Somebody should put this on front page let Nigerians know what the cowards who should be protecting us are doing. If they see boko haram they take to their heels but when it's an unarmed civilian they show their 'military might.' Shameless cowards!

Wait what's with all these black spots on the foreheads of Nigerian Muslims? And nobody should come here to tell me that it's from striking their heads on the floor during prayer because I know it's not. I hope these people are not planning something sinister on a grand scale with the hope of identifying their own with these marks.
