In today’s world, it’s unfortunate that scams and fraudulent activities have become increasingly common. People put their trust in others, only to find that their hard-earned money has been stolen by cunning individuals with no regard for the damage they cause. One such individual I will use the name Peace, A young girl based in UK 🇬🇧 who has scammed multiple victims, including myself, a Nigerian businessman who was defrauded of 3.3 million Naira. This article aims to expose Peace for the person she truly is and serve as a warning to others who might be targeted by her deceptive tactics. Along with me, two other victims, who lost £5,000, and another victim , who was swindled out of £8,000—have come forward to share their experiences. We hope this article helps others avoid falling into her traps. The Story of Deceit: How Peace Scammed Me I first came into with Peace through a mutual acquaintance who vouched for her professionalism and integrity. She presented herself as a legitimate businesswoman, offering various services that seemed credible and trustworthy. For weeks, we communicated frequently, discussing business ventures and making plans for collaboration. In the process, she appeared to be well-organized, knowledgeable, and confident—qualities that made me believe I was dealing with a reputable individual. However, as the days ed, Peace began to ask for financial assistance, claiming that it was necessary to close deals and move forward with business opportunities. At first, I hesitated, but she assured me that everything was legitimate, even providing what appeared to be verifiable documents and official papers to back up her claims. She sent several forged contracts, invoices, and proof of previous successful transactions to convince me that her operations were solid. In my desperation to expand my business, I made the ill-fated decision to invest a substantial amount of money—3.3 million Naira. At first, everything seemed fine, and I received some initial responses from Peace regarding our deals. But as time went on, she started to become less responsive, and when I demanded updates on the funds, I was met with vague excuses and promises of better things to come. Eventually, she disappeared, taking my 3.3 million Naira with her. The Plight of Other Victims Unfortunately, my case is far from unique. a UK-based businessman, also fell victim to Peace’s fraudulent tactics. He transferred £5,000 to her under the guise of a profitable business opportunity. She, too, assured him of her credibility, even providing fabricated documents to her claims. Just like me, The victim became aware of Peace’s true intentions only after the money was gone, and she had stopped responding to his attempts to reach out. A third victim, had a similar experience with Peace. She was tricked into sending £8,000 after Peace convinced her of an investment opportunity that seemed too good to up.Another victim received fake contracts, fake business dealings, and fake guarantees of high returns—just as I did. And just like us, The victim was left with nothing but regret and frustration once Peace vanished with the money. It’s important to note that Peace modus operandi includes creating a false sense of trust by showing supposed “verifiable documents.” She goes out of her way to appear legitimate, sharing links to websites, offering proof of prior successful transactions, and even providing fake references. This is a tactic many scammers use to manipulate their victims into believing they are engaging in legitimate business transactions. How Peace Operates The main tactic that Peace employs is her ability to come across as trustworthy and professional. She frequently provides what appear to be legitimate documents, such as contracts, invoices, identification papers, and bank statements, in order to create the illusion of a legitimate business deal. Victims like myself, and other victims were all persuaded to trust her by the compelling nature of the paperwork she provided. Moreover, she often positions herself as a person with substantial influence, claiming to have connections with influential individuals or businesses. This further enhances her ability to manipulate people into sending large sums of money for supposed investments or business transactions. In addition, Peace is very convincing when it comes to her communication. She keeps in constant touch with her victims and makes sure they are convinced that their investment is going to yield substantial returns. She gives promises of success and financial prosperity to those who trust her. Why You Should Be Cautious What makes Peace particularly dangerous is that she takes every precaution to ensure that her victims never suspect foul play. The verifiable documents she shares, the convincing fake references, and her professional demeanor all work together to make it seem like she is a legitimate businesswoman. As someone who has fallen victim to her scam, I can confidently say that she is an expert in gaining people’s trust. In order to avoid falling into her trap, it’s important to be cautious and skeptical when dealing with someone who provides documents or paperwork that seem too good to be true. Always any documents, references, or claims through independent sources. If you are asked to send money or make an investment, take the time to carefully research the person or business, and never make decisions in haste. It’s also crucial to that anyone who requires an advance payment before providing a product or service should be approached with caution. Legitimate businesses don’t ask for significant sums of money upfront without providing concrete evidence that their offer is real. How to Protect Yourself from Scammers 1. Documents and Claims: Scammers like Peace Ekpo often provide fake contracts, documents, and references to make themselves appear legitimate. Always the authenticity of any documents before proceeding with any business transactions. 2. Do Thorough Research: Take the time to research the individual or company you’re dealing with. Look for online reviews, from others, and any signs that the person may not be trustworthy. 3. Consult with Professionals: If you’re unsure about a business deal or investment opportunity, consult with a legal or financial professional who can offer advice on how to proceed. 4. Trust Your Instincts: If something doesn’t feel right, trust your gut. Scammers like Peace Ekpo often prey on individuals who are desperate for success or quick financial gains. 5. Report Fraud: If you suspect you’ve been scammed, report it immediately to the authorities. The sooner you report it, the better the chances of preventing the scammer from targeting others. Conclusion Peace is a fraud who has left multiple victims in her wake. She has successfully scammed individuals out of large sums of money by presenting false documents and false promises. My hope is that by sharing my story and the stories of Cole and Udie, we can raise awareness about this scam and prevent others from falling victim to her tactics. If you’ve been scammed or know someone who has, please come forward and report it. The more people who speak out, the harder it will be for scammers like Peace to continue their fraudulent activities. I also urge bloggers, influencers, and media outlets to help spread this message, so we can stop others from losing their hard-earned money. Stay vigilant, and —if something seems too good to be true, it probably is. |

Now 2018 is over and you see many people posting :new year new me! Actually it is a new year but not a new you.i would prefer if you say new year wiser you. As an individual you through different circumstances and problems and you proffer solutions, how you handle a particular problem is different from the way of other people will handle it. As the saying goes nothing is new under the sun, whatever you are facing is what some else has faced. Quite the habit of comparison, stop comparing your self to others because you don’t know how the person got to that stage. Problems of humans is that they compare their tenth step to another man’s hundredth step, this action discourages the spirit hereby leading to depression, jealousy and even suicide.Comparison is an attitude you have to drop in 2018,if you want a better 2019. You should also know that when someone falls out of your life, maybe they are not supposed to share in the level that you are going to maybe they are supposed to be left behind You should not for any reason force anyone to stay with you. If they know your worth they wont leave. Don’t ever displease your self again to please some one who will still not be satisfied. Another thing is when things fall out of your plan maybe they are not supposed to be part of your success story, maybe they are supposed to be left behind.when a particular thing is not working as planned, maybe it wasn’t meant for you. Don’t kill yourself trying to do the impossible. Try doing something else it might just work out perfectly for you. Wish all Nairaladers prosperous 2019
