Reader530: I have taken time to read your post and people's responses. Brother, don't chase him out. Don't lie to him that you want to travel. The problem you have is that he is draining your meagre resources. This is understandable, call him, you are men. Explain things to him and tell him to come clean with you. You never can tell what will happen tomorrow. You have started very well and don't spoil it with small thing. I can give you minimum of five examples but I don't have time now. Just accommodate him, okay |

I can imagine a world without internet as against the poser in the first paragraph in the write-up. A world without internet has been, it was before the incursion of internet and people lived it. The problem is that we have wired our mind in such a way that we believe that without internet, our world will not be better. I am not against it, I don't have problem with it. As a matter of fact, it has helped me in so many uncountable ways. It is still helping me. The nairaland platform I am now, is made possible through the power of internet. I wake-up surfing the web, it makes life interesting. But thinking about it now, based on the first paragraph of the write up, I think we can live in a world without internet. Permit me to relate it to a personal experience, I had my first degree at a time in history when internet has not been the order of the day. It was a time when only a few can afford it. Like me, then I couldnt afford it, I did not even have opportunity to handle a desktop let alone laptop. The only gadget I could relate to then was a palmtop, and there were little I could do with a it, I only used it to show ego, the point I am trying to make is that computers were not common. In those days in IMO State University, Timacy and London Net were the two t we normally go for night browsing because many of us student could not afford to get browsing phone let alone an Android or window phones. In fact, I don't think there were such phones then. But I know of Nokia phones. So writing my first degree project, I had to be in the library, reading all the books I can lay my hands on. Then writing project was more of your sweat and originality. One will write, pay Business Centres to type your project and present to your supervisor who will make corrections and you pay Business Centres to correct it for you until I finished. Fast forward to when I was doing my master degree program 3 years after, I had access to the internet 24/7. I have my own laptop, learning was easier and writing of project was made easier with the help of online libraries like Jstor and co but the drudgery and rigoriousness in doing a thorough project was not their. I want to say, that a life without internet is imaginable, though we may view it as being stressful as a result of how we have wired our brain to view it. I may not be able to conclude this, watch out for Part 1b. 2 Likes |

[quote author=Greizman post=70026239] What if he featured in different movies. Definitely he was one of the prominent actors acting in nollywood, yoruba and TV series as at that time. Only few actors had such versatility then, so he could be earning way better than his colleagues. U can't be sure.. [/quote You may be right, but 150k on 1994 was a big dough that time |

Some people will just talk nonsense and will expect their audience to believe them. As if the audience don't have cognition. Imagine Sola saying that he left acting of 150k for lecturing of 5k. The 150k is it monthly or annually. If annually, I may not be able to ascertain the veracity of that claim but if it's monthly, it's not true. Artist don't earn salary but by production. This is incredible. How much were actors and actresses earning in 1994? Is not much now..... How much did Eucharia earn for her prostitu'te role in Glamour Girls. My dad bought a paper where Zack Orji and Eucharia were interviewed about their illicit role in the film, along the line Eucharia was asked the amount she was paid to act that movie and she said it. It was not much now but mega then but not up to 50k I suppose. What am I saying, 50bail, in 1994. That was huge. These are artist that played major role. I will get you the paper when I go back to Ibadan. My point, Sola couldn't have been earning 150k in 1994. This I am sure of. |

I quite understand your grief, but then you cant deny her of her life and in her pursuit of better life. What matters is trust. Do you trust her? What I don't appreciate about it is her ing the night in her ex abode. However, you just need to be a man. If she is jobless, you will call her a leech. So learn to trust her. 1 Like |

He has the right to align with any party of his choice. Irrespective of the party he decides to align with, good luck to him. I am quite indifferent to it. APC's regime is filled with heartbreak and disappointment. I know for sure that if Buhari is going to loose the forth coming election, his appointees contribute to it. It is high time he started having a rethink and toll the path of justice. However, Saraki is not good either, in fact those politicians are doing all these political prostitution because of their own selfish end. They don't have the love of the masses at heart. Therefore, the masses should braze up and know who to vote for or who to represent them. 6 Likes 1 Share |

it is a case of giving a dog a bad name in order to hang it. However, the Inspector General is also not a responsive officer . I think he should be more careful in his approach. People are calling for scraping of SARS, he should have investigated that claim and fish out some bad element within SARS. SARS may be doing a laudable job, but some disgruntled element are destroying the good works of others |
