Very stupid scheme. See as I'm wasting my life over here.
I don't know how Civil Engineering and classroom teaching is related. Very useless scheme if you ask me.

Teach Maths, Teach Further Maths, Teach Physics, Equilibrium of Forces.

As a Civil Engineer, surely you know all these.

My dad always remained his food for his last three children. Which I enjoyed as 5th child until I was the oldest child at home, others had gone to uni.

Help me tell am o

The thing don tire me.

Moving from Lagos to Anambra, that was the first thing I noticed.

Worst part is that the gutter gets filled up with sand and all sorts of plants start growing there.

Then they start weeding and packing out sand residue from gutter.....like whyyyyy 😭

When walking at night, sometimes I look inside the gutter, cos you fit dey look inside Bush for armed robber meanwhile the robber is just lying down inside the dry gutter waiting for you to so he can approach from behind

Beautiful.

While I respect the faiths of others, I am yet to see any sense in some of the things some people do because of faith. The court made the right move. Since the little girl can't give or refuse consent, let her receive the blood. When she's old enough, if such a situation arises again, she can then choose whether or not to accept blood.

If you can allow a patient to refuse blood transfusion in the face of death, why do people always try to stop others from committing suicide?

Imagine going to church everyday except on Thursday.
This is too much, even the white people that brought Christianity still have time to work

Okayyy

I'm a Catholic. We have Mass every day of the week.
It takes about 2hrs on Sunday and 30 to 45mins on weekdays.

Only Sunday Mass is compulsory. The rest are not but we are advised to attend.

The people I know that attend weekdays are usually people who live close to the church and can make it to the Mass by 6:30am, Or people who just add it to their routine. Make sure the children are prepared for school by 6am. Take them to church by 6:30am, take them to school by 7am...

ITbomb:

And this troubleshooting to pinpoint the unit causing issue and recommending a fix should not be a problem for a well trained engineer
Decoupling, replacing and coupling back is the work of the technician.

An engineer being trained in the design should be able to identify the fault straight from school but a mechanic needs years of experience with various parts, engines and engineers to be able to do same

Engineers apply principles formulated by scientists and researchers to create a solution for a problem.
When I create a solution for a problem, I can fix whatever fault that comes up in that solution.

In order to fix faults in solutions created by other people, I have to learn about their solution first. This is what the roadside mechanic or technician does. An internal combustion engine was invented. Different manufacturers added extra components to optimize their design for their specific need.

As an engineer, you learn how the original engine was made and how it works. You can't be taught all the variations that has been made to it. That's where you have technicians and mechanics that specialize.

You dont repair, you replace.
The key is finding where the fault is and recommending the fix. Nobody is asking you to manufacture as a level one and trained engineer, that is a specialised skill

You want to replace iPhone's chip ke?

From where? How? With what?

Not everything is replaceable hence roadside technician would tell you the motherboard has burnt when actually, an irreplaceable component on the motherboard got burnt.

why do people who study medicine and surgery ends up praticalizing it? Stop giving excuses, as a mechanical engineer, you should be able to particalize it.

The curriculum was not made for practising. As an engineering student, we are basically being instilled with Knowledge and more on Problem Solving Mindset.

The problem is that each engineering course you know is actually very very diverse. Since there's limited time, you can only have the basic knowledge of each field.

Take for example, I'm studying Electronics and Computer Engineering. Fields we are expected to have a basic idea on:
Electrical Engineering (generating and substations, calculations on NEPA transmission lines and prepaid meter billing)
Programming of Microprocessors
Artificial Intelligence
Telecommunication Engineering (How network providers operate).

Do you see now that what we have a wide knowledge compared to the roadside phone repairer?

People in Mech don't do only automobiles...they do air conditioning too, even biomass energy generation.

Lastly, asking a mechanical engineer to repair your car is like asking a medical doctor to perform hemispherectomy....you need a neurosurgeon for that. Likewise, you need a mech engineer who is specialized in automobiles to repair your car

A little too late for damage control, Remi should have requested details of all the students present and pressed each of them 200k

Yesterday, I went for Students Governorship rally in Anambra. The governor told us we were gonna receive 6k each. He paid in cash. About 12 million. But we no see anything, those NANS guys present just shared Abt quarter of it and drove away with the rest.

The problem is what do we derive from drinking garri ? Does it have any vitamins in the body like plantain, eggs, meat, fish etc

As a student, taking garri saves my money for short term. More like a short term loan.

Also garri can be taken to satisfy cravings....same way somebody can crave Aboki indomie and egg...even with what has been said about noodles and that sodium glutamate whatever ..

Emotional or sexual needs,...lol

True to some extent.

Also consider there are guys who have female besties not for their sexual needs.
BenedictAbajue(m): 5:37pm On Mar 08
Needs of a human being includes both financial and emotional needs.

The fact that you can't fulfill your financial needs doesn't mean you shouldn't fulfill your emotional needs.

They are two completely different things.
