By this your reply, I just confirmed you are a kid with a smart phone.
You laid accusations against a man, removed him illegally, dragged his hard earned name and reputation in the mud, then called him to the side to offer him amnesty amd soft landing?
If I repeat IF he is found guilty by an unbiased tribunal then let him face the music. Meanwhile Umar danladi must quit his right to try Onnoghen. You can't accuse a man of corruption, whip up a kangaroo exparte order against him when you also have a case of corruption against you!
It was his lawyers who perceived hopelessness went to shop for softlanding. Mine you onnoghen was not ready for a trial yet as he will be challenging cct jurisdiction. In other words he is banking on technicalities. Having made an ission his case is a foreclosed one.

Let all sides be heard. Why ask the CJN to resign and take a plea deal when they are the ones so sure he didn't disclose all his assets voluntarily.
Nkanu Ononghen has fighting spirit. Something ambode could not muster.
All lawyers including myself stand with onnoghen, the rule of law and due process.
Onnoghen according to this report will be challenging cct jurisdiction and not proving his innocence. What a shame!!!

I am of the opinion that the CJN should not be docked. It will finally descrates the office of the CJN and not Onnoghen and also spell doom for the judiciary. U cannot compare Saraki with CJN. The office of the CJN is the most sensitive and any little thing done to it will further tarnish the image of the seat and not necessarily the occupier. I said it before that onnoghen should have resigned and save himself from all this embarrasement. Wole Olanepekun's meeting the chief of staff so that rhe CJN should not be docked on Monday since the NJC will give judgement on the case that same next week is the best thing a smart lawyer can do in this case and I commend him for that. I want to use this opportunity to plead with PMB not to allow the CCT dock the CJN on Monday, rather lets wait for the NJC recommendation this week since they have issued him a querry . Before u quote me , pls know that I am a Pro Buhari.
Pls let's not create sacred cows in the fight against corruption. No one is above the law on of any office or position

Let me educate some Zombies on how politics works!
Atiku don't need to win Kano state. He only needs atlist 40% of Kano's votes. That's all. As you know, Kano gave pmb above 1.9million votes in 2015 while PDP got less Dan 250 thousand votes from the region. Now going by kwankwanso's movement in Kano. I can categorically tell you that the APC votes in Kano will just be a little above PDP's Kano votes, that's if APC wins Kano in the first place.
Now let's take a look at Rivers state. The state is predominantly a PDP state. Rivers gave PDP 1.4 million votes in 2015, close to 1.5 million. While APC only got 69 thousand + votes in Rivers.
My point? Apc's strongest state is Kano, while PDP's strongest state is Rivers. Going by recent appenings, PDP will sure get above 25% votes in APC's strongest state which is Kano and APC don't stand a chance in Rivers (PDP's strongest state).... Which is already a win win for PDP. Kano will not produce as much votes it produced for APC in 2015, but Rivers will sure produce more Dan wat it delivered for PDP in 2015, this makes it a win win for PDP.
I rest my case! Politics is all about numbers, and getting more votes from ur opposition's strongest place.
you talk as if only kano and rivers are involved in the election. Why not go ahead and do a similar analyses for the other states and let's see the numbers

Technically, The presidency is in trouble.
The president said he relies on an order given by cct. The cct is saying here that it is submitting to COA. Meaning cct's orders must also submit to COA orders.
Whatever COA says now overrides cct, which by extension overrides Buhari's action.
Let's wait and see what the COA will say.

Clerverly:
The suspension of Walter Onnoghen as the chief justice of Nigeria (CJN) by President Muhammadu Buhari has predictably generated furore within and outside the country, a situation that is less desirable a few weeks to the 2019 general election.
The process leading to Onnoghen’s suspension, beginning with the petition by a civil society group against him over an alleged non-declaration of assets, has been assailed by many commentators, lawyers and activists who argue that due process has not been followed.
In the avalanche of judicial pronouncements and interpretations of the laws, however, there seems to be an emerging consensus that the government could have handled the Onnoghen case better and within the confines of the statutes.
As a public officer, the CJN has already indicted himself by itting that he forgot to declare certain assets, and there is no protection in law for this. There is also suspicion that he cannot reasonably for the value of the transactions that have been carried out on some of his bank s. This inevitably points to the fact that he might have a case to answer, and this is definitely not good for a custodian of public trust in the temple of justice.
Nevertheless, the rule of law and legal procedures need to be followed in order not to create the impression that democratic principles are being willfully byed in the Onnoghen case. The government can still achieve the same end result by following the procedural path.
While TheCable is fully persuaded that there has been no fidelity to laid-down procedures in the treatment of the Onnoghen case, there is no doubt that the CJN himself is not smelling of roses in the whole affair.
To break the logjam, therefore, we call on Buhari to immediately recall Onnoghen from suspension. This will save his government from further accusation of dictatorship.
In the meantime, Onnoghen can save the entire country the whole trouble by stepping aside as CJN as soon as he is reinstated by Buhari. This will allow him to clear his name. It is only fair that he cannot be expected to head the judicial arm of government while he is being investigated.
We also call on the National Judicial Council (NJC) to step into the ime and do the right thing by subjecting Onnoghen to a transparent investigation. He should be put on istrative leave while investigation lasts as he cannot be a judge in his own case.
If Onnoghen is found to have committed an infringement, he should be appropriately disciplined so that the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) can proceed with his trial within the confines of the law. For now, his innocence has to be presumed until guilt is established.
The CCT, on the other hand, has to come under a new leadership because of the ongoing corruption case against the chairman, Danladi Umar. He has also conducted himself less creditably in the Onnoghen case. He who comes to equity must come with clean hands.
TheCable calls on all sides of the divide to put the nation’s interest first. The allegations against the CJN are grave and no matter the temptation to play politics, the interest of the country must never be downplayed.
It is in the interest of Nigeria for state institutions to be allowed to do their jobs unimpeded and it is the responsibility of our leaders to make sure processes and procedures are not subverted no matter the political atmosphere.

He was appointed by the apc government; precisely by osinbajo. He didn't just declared his assets
four years down the line,
why now should he be suspended unconstitutionally,
few days to the election,
the credibility of the general election is under threat esp when the whole arm of the judiciary is presided over by the northerners
And both the major presidential candidates are northerners. Lol.

post=75123293: Those who have left the substance of the matter, which is non-declaration of assets, to embark on a wild goose chase must know that they are part of the problems of this country.
Those cheering the CJN have been busy trying to depict the issue as executive interference in another arm of government.
They are failing to realise an important fact that those who have the privilege of holding exalted offices in trust for the rest of Nigerians should lead by example.
It was speculative for some commentators to think that the CJN was being targeted so that he could be removed and replaced with someone who will work in the interest of the government in the February elections. The most important question should be whether the CJN broke the law or not in failing to declare his assets.
One major and incontrovertible fact which has emerged from the controversy over the CJN’s alleged failure to declare his assets is his own reported ission that he made a mistake by forgetting to declare a number of his assets. The number one judicial officer is also reported to have expressed ignorance about the time space within which he should have made the declaration.”
We are not talking of a magistrate or a high court judge but a judge of the Supreme Court, who happens to be the number one judicial officer of the land; we must forget sentiments and look at facts.”
The posturing of some South-South governors in defence of the CJN should be treated as treason since they swore to protect and preserve the constitution.
There was a country!
I concur. Indeed for the rest of us the question will always be whether he committed a breach of law or not

Do you know that g peace pact is to benefit him more than pmb because pmb is the incumbent and has at his disposal the state instruments of coercion.
