Assalamu alaikum, Ramadan’s in upon us. Here are quick reminders to get us started. 1. Prepare your Dua list in advance. You’ll have many opportunities for Dua in Ramadan - those who have their list in advance will take advantage. Those that don’t, will miss out. 2. Keep your Dua list short - focus on 6 priority Duas to take your attention, energy, and ion. 3. Automate now. Buy your Eid clothes, your groceries for the month, prepare food in advance so you’re not distracted later. This will free your mind and heart for what matters. 4. Excellence does not happen by accident. Strategize and plan your good deeds in advance - read Quran at a specific time, give sadaqa at a specific time, pray on time, so that your body gets into a rhythm. In time, your body will expect it and good deeds will become easy. 5. You’re not a camel. Don’t over drink or overeat to “store for later”. Our bodies don’t work like that. Eat healthy portions and drink water throughout the evening. There is blessing in suhoor, enjoy that meal. 6. Expect a dip in energy. Have mercy on yourself in that dip. Don’t throw in the towel. Pick yourself up and keep going. May you have an outstanding Ramadan 2019. |

HOW DO WE DETERMINE IF ALLAH LOVE US? 1. If He give us wealth? 2. If He grant us health? 3. If He give us power? 4. If He give us children? 5. .....? Shaikh Ali Rantawi says he was wondering if Allah loves him: So he checked the Quran to see what are the characteristics of the people that Allah has mentioned He loves them. He discovered that Allah loves Al_ Muttaqeen ( the pious ), he says " I wouldn't dare consider myself one of them." So he continued searching.... Then he found that Allah loves As sabireen (the patient). So he ed; "how impatient I am." So he continued searching.... Then he found that Allah loves Al Mujahideen (those who strive in His path), so he ed how lazy and powerless he was. So he continued searching.... Then he found Allah loves Al Muhsineen (those who do good deeds). So he ed how far he is from that. Then He says "So I stopped searching to avoid more disappointment. I reflected on my good deeds, I found most of them are mixed with laziness, coldness, flaws and sins. "Then it came to my mind that Allah loves The At Tawwabeen (those who repent). I just figured out it is the one for me and for others like me. So he said "I started saying ..." Astaghfirullah wa atooubu ilaih in abundance so I could be one of the ones Allah loves." May we be able to at least seek forgiveness often enough to be among those Allah Loves! Ameen!!! 26 Likes 2 Shares |

The Believer has Five types of Fear! 1• Allah ﷻ may take his faith away from him. 2• The recording angels may write down something that may expose him on the Day of Resurrection. 3• Shaytaan may cause his deeds to become invalid. 4• The Angel of Death may come to him without warning. 5• The world may tempt him and distract him from the Hereafter. Assalamu alaykum What is Dawah? Dawah is not just talks and speeches; it is a warm invitation through beautiful actions. It is not just about quoting a lot; it is about reaching hearts. It is not just presenting statistics, data, number or logic; it is a lovely feeling of influencing hearts and minds. It is not just winning a debate; it is winning the person. It is not just sharing those positive phrases on social media it is making your life positive and of those around you. It is about being cheerful. It is greetings accompanied by smile.. Common Errors in Prayer That MUST Be Avoided:- 1. Reciting Surat al-Fatiha without pausing after each verse. The Prophet (SAW) used to pause after each verse of this surah. (Abu Dawood) 2. Sticking the arms to the sides of the body, in rukoo' or sujood, and sticking the belly to the thighs in sujood. The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: "Let not one of you himself on his forearms (in sujood ) like the dog. Let him rest on his palms and keep his elbows away from his body." (Sahih Muslim). The Messenger of Allah (SAW) used to keep his arms away from his body during rukoo' and sujood that the whiteness of his armpits could be seen (Sahih Muslim). 3. Gazing upward during prayer. This may cause loss of concentration. We are commanded to lower our gaze, and look at the point at which the head rests during sujood. The Prophet (SAW) warned: "Let those who raise their gaze up during prayer stop doing so, or else their sights would not return to them. [ i.e. Lose their eyesight]."( Muslim) 4. Resting only the tip of the head on the floor during sujood. The Prophet (SAW) said: "I am commanded to prostrate on seven bones the forehead and the nose, the two hands [palms], the two knees, and the two feet." (Sahih Muslim) Applying the above command necessitates resting the forehead and the nose on the ground during sujood. 5. Hasty performance of prayer which does not allow repose and calmness in rukoo' or sujood. The Messenger of Allah (SAW) saw a man who did not complete his rukoo' [bowing], and made a very short sujoo [prostration] ; he (SAW) said: "If this man dies while praying in this manner, he would die upholding a religion other than the religion of Muhammad." Abu Hurairah (RA) said: "My beloved friend, Muhammad (SAW) forbade me to perform postures of prayer copying the picking of a rooster; (signifying fast performance of prayer), moving eyes around like a fox and the sitting like monkeys ( i.e. to sit on thighs)." (Imam Ahmad & at-Tayalisi) The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: "The worst thief is the one who steals from his own prayer."? People asked, 'Messenger of Allah! How could one steel his own prayer?' He (SAW) said: "By not completing its rukoo' and sujood." (At- Tabarani & al-Hakim). To complete rukoo' is to stay in that posture long enough to recite 'Subhana rabbiyal Adtheem' three times, SLOWLY, and' Subhana rabbiyal-A'ala' three times, SLOWLY, in sujood. He (SAW) also announced: "He who does not complete his rukoo' and sujood, his prayer is void." (Abu Dawood & others) 6. Counting tasbeeh with the left hand. The Prophet (SAW) used to count tasbeeh on the fingers of his right hand after salah. Ibn Qudamah (RA) said: "The Messenger of Allah (SAW) used his right hand for tasbeeh." ( Abu Dawud) The above hadeeth indicates clearly that the Prophet (SAW) used only one hand for counting tasbeeh. No Muslim with sound mind would imagine that the Prophet (SAW) used his left hand for counting tasbeeh. Aa'ishah (RA) said that the Prophet (SAW) used his left hand only for Istinjaa', or cleaning himself after responding to the call of nature.? He never used it for tasbeeh. Yasirah (RA) reported:?The Prophet (SAW) commanded women to count tasbeeh on their fingers. He Messenger of Allah (SAW) said:?"They (the fingers) will be made to speak, and will be questioned (on the Day of Resurrection.)" (At-Tirmithi) The above hadeeth indicates that it is preferable to count tasbeeh on the fingers of the right hand than to do so on masbahah (rosary) . 7. Crossing in front of a praying person. The Messenger of Allah (SAW) warned:? "Were the one who crosses in front of a praying person to know the consequences of doing so, he would have waited for *forty better than to cross in front of him." (Sahih Bukhari and Muslim). Allah knows best. 19 Likes 1 Share |

I have to say that I consider myself to be an extremely reasonable person regarding expectations and demands. So, when I attended one conference when the star of the evening was supposed to be one well-known motivational speaker, I didn't expect much. I like to hear some interesting life experiences and a few applicable conclusions. That's it. I don't expect or hope to change my life and begin to earn like never before as soon as I get home after I just heard a thing or two from some motivational speaker, no matter how he or she may be influential or successful. When you end up totally disappointed and emotionally exhausted despite your realistic expectations, then you know that something went deeply wrong with the so-called motivational speaker's show. https://highlygained..com.ng Am I the only one to think that the modern motivational speakers are more like professional entertainers than people with that magical spark to change and inspire people around them. The catch is that it has become much better for me to attend some music festival where a pop star can say a thing or two of zen wisdom, and I will feel better and more importantly learn more than attending the classic motivational speaker's event. Nowadays, the motivational speakers all over the world worry more about how they look than what they have to say and share. In a way, motivational speakers are indeed part of the entertaining industry in the general sense, but hey, let's not take the things here quite literally. OK? What's the purpose, if at the end of the day, you entertain rather than to motivate and inspire people? Right? Just to make sure I have nothing personal against the modern motivational speaker. For what is worth, I have a criterion I use to tell a difference between the entertainers and the genuine motivational speakers. Here it is. You don't have to necessarily agree with it, but I dare you to try on the next motivational speaker you plan to hear or follow. So, I think that a motivational speaker who is dominantly an entertainer are people who have built their careers and names for this activity alone. Meaning, they are professional motivational speakers who have always been motivational speakers and they don't have anything else to show you and be proud of. On the other side, you have people who are genuine motivational speakers because they had successful careers in some other field prior this one, such as sports, movies, politics, etc. These guys have achieved something amazing or experienced some extraordinary events in their lives, which allowed them to gain some unique experiences they can share with others. Here's one positive example for a change. I attended a business forum sponsored by a large telecommunication network. They hired a former football star as its representative and a motivational speaker. So, this guy who could barely make a step without giving and g at least a dozen of autographs was surprisingly down to earth person. He used an opportunity to show us the importance of the teamwork by talking about a real life event that took place in a locker room during one well-known and an important game. It was great to hear a true story as a part of the first-hand experience. So, these guys had the moment of truth with their coach, just like you could have seen it in the movies. They eventually won this important game. But my point is that we all had a feeling that we were actually there in that locker room with this football star. He was so emotional and persuasive that it is hard to describe with words. That was a genuine motivational speaker at work. You could see by the way he moves and the way he was dressed that night that he couldn't possibly care less about his appearance. Yet, when he talked, you can clearly see tears in his eyes. He was going through that emotional experience all over again with all the people in the conference room. So, we had no reason to doubt his presentation nor his genuine experience. When you compare this former football star and the so-called motivational speaker entertainer from the beginning of my story, then you realize how different they really are. If your biggest achievement is a book you wrote about motivation and similar, and then you make money by promoting it all over the world, I can't and will never accept you as a genuine motivational speaker. What are your thoughts about motivational speakers? What does it take for a person to be accepted and acknowledged by you as a genuine motivational speaker? Do you have a respect for the so-called entertainers-motivational-speakers or you accept this phenomenon as a part of the showbiz industry? https://highlygained..com.ng/2016/11/are-you-tired-of-entertainers.html |
