Number 1 is a big fat lie. The person who said that probably mixed it up. The only thing you won't get access to with a one way ticket is a PTA (personal travel allowance) using Form A. Canada won't send you back because you don't have a return ticket.

No idea of accommodation in Vancouver.

I'm a first time traveler as I will be traveling to Canada soon for my studies... please I have some questions to ask.

1. I booked a one way ticket already and I'm being told that if my ticket is not a round trip ticket that I won't be allowed to board the flight and that Canadian immigration would deny my entry into the country. Please help on this.

2. Also, how can I get an apartment in Vancouver? I don't mind if it's a shared apartment.
