Years ago, I left the 'cowboys' for the 'dreamers' - yes, those with fancy adverts like cars will run on water. The pay was good, the bonuses was fat.. Then I saw the books, and I knew shit is happening..I ed posting the word 'issues' on social media...within months the 'olopas' came to take over... By then, I knew no remedy... I 'japa' without ever looking back. Always have at least one or 2 backup plans..if you quitting your job. |

It's simple, trans-humans should compete with their types only. They should create their own category for them...since they are the ones that recognised them by law in the first place.

Why do people seek or take public opinions concerning their health? No amount should ne too expensive to take care of your physical, mental or emotional health. I would rather you go to a good hospital and get an expert opinion or treatment. The money you spend on clothing, drinks (other than water) or give people (without returns) should be diverted to your heath first. It is only when you are healthy, that you can help others. I'm speaking generally and this post is not directed to only the OP. |

Dreambeat: Exactly... I think that's with most humans generally. Even in Nigeria, you will hear a Yoruba man butcher igbo names and vice versa. I bet, if you are a super star, celebrity or someone in position of authority, people will learn to pronounce your name even if your name is 'Xyftshhdty'. |

mjuvey3: Exactly. It may not be because of bad brushing habit.. There may be an underlying disease or infection she is not aware of. It could even be cancer. I'll advice you to let her know, and let her visit the dentist. She may require root canal cleaning or treatment. Best thing is to see a professional and stop all these online therapies. 2 Likes |

GEEBITE: Like I said, severally, you cannot compare. Generations differ. Fela growing up looked up to older musicians before him. He was highly influenced by Jazz, highlife from which he renamed his music Afrobeat. Not that he created a genre of music from no where. And Fela was not touring the world in 1968. His music did not really blossom and become massive and global until the 70s... Times differ, generations differ, platforms differ.. We had great African musicians long before Fela (God bless his soul) and there will be many more greats long after. Why don't we just enjoy these hardworking musicians and see how great they can become. All I say is don't shut your mind and say these generation can't produce legends when their career is not over. From all my post I never made comparison, you are the one giving examples Jay-Z vs MJ, Marley vs Kimono. All I said is these guys are still active, and as long as their music appeal to their generation, then let them be the legends of their time. Fela's music appeal to my generation and by right he was legendary. So were the Victor Olaiyas, the Bobby Bensons, ET Mensahs, the people of their generation will see them as being greatest musicians of their time. |

nijanigga: Common Kiddo, I don't even listen to wizkid's song, and I can tell you, I have been a massive Fela's fan since 1985. So I know most of his songs from Koola Lobitos, ever before he started Afrobeat with the likes of the legendary Tony Allen in his band. I don't speak from sentiments because I am a Fela fan, my joy will be to witness Nigerian musicians greater than the likes of Fela, Osita Osadebey, to witness, novelists greater than China, Achebe, Wole Soyinka etc. |

GEEBITE: Did you read my post? I said people should not compare, Wizkid is still work in progress, people should only compare works /legacies when the careers are over (my opinion). Wizkid is just 30years plus or so, Fela at 30 was not that well known worldwide...He was just discovering himself. I am a massive Fela fan and I speak objectively. You can't say Wizkid, Burnaboy, Tuface, Seun, Femi Kuti etc can't be greater than Fela. Their careers are not over yet. Don't we all pray for our kids to be greater than us? |
![]() |
Fela is a legend, his music career is over. He made his mark, he lived the life and left a long lasting legacy. Wizkid is still very much active, no one should judge his music career or his character as a man, he is still developing... He may not even be at his prime yet. Only when he is done, then people can compare whatever legacies he leaves with other legends. Meanwhile, people should just enjoy the works of these great individuals and stop making abstract/subjective comparisons. 1 Like 1 Share |

Fuckyoumod: Of course not debunking whatever you said. But we can't jump on a poor report from the Op who made no mention of the number of fire fighting vehicles in the state, neither can we say they have only 1 or 20 or 50. What can helpless Nigerians do, than to wish for a government that values ability at all levels. People will still be corrupt if they want to, that is why you have laws.. But loopholes should be blocked as much as possible. |
![]() |
Fuckyoumod: Based on your analysis above.. Your calculated estimate for 1 truck is 56k, the report doesn't say 5m per vehicle monthly. I don't expect they have only 1 vehicle either. For the whole state, it is reasonable they have up to 50-100 trucks across fire service stations.. Just saying. Not justifying they are corrupt or not. Then you don't put into consideration, the fees from the mechanics. We know the corrupt people are not only the politicians, but the ministry staff, who will not service one single vehicle but on record will have these vehicles serviced, while they share the allocation amongst themselves and their cronies. We need to look beyond the politians at times, before we cry foul. |

SeaTrade: No they don't. The way audit firm work is this: Yes, the pay may be little at entry level, but there is career progression, provided you your exams. So, each year, you are guaranteed an increased salary. As long as you are on a job, your transport fares, taxis, Uber etc to clients' offices can be claimed back. So, you basically not using your salary on transport fares as long as you are on field. Many clients provide lunch for auditors. This may also include breakfasts or even dinner if you are working late. Or in some cases, you just present the receipts of your lunch to your office for the period you were on the job. The juicy jobs are the ones outside the your base. Say you go audit Shell in PH, you may be there for over a month. Hotel accommodation paid for, you will be chauffer driven, breakfast, lunch and dinner paid for. So for a month or two, your salary is untouched. The downside is, you get bored. It's can really be a boring job, if you are in it just to make ends meet. So forget the notion that they have to know small gods to live the kind of whatever lifestyle they live. Some jobs do have dignity, and auditing is one of them. 10 Likes |

jumper524: Congratulations! Well done. My advise to you, since you guys are just starting.. Use more of the biggest yams as seedlings for next seasons.. Sell off the smaller ones. It is called selective breeding. Continue replanting the best yams you have and few years down the line, not only will you be making bumper harvests of big tubers, other farmer's will start coming to you for seedlings. My 50 cents. 1 Like |

BoboNogoDie: And what profession do you practise? Same way you criticise our healthcare professionals, can you point the same fingers at yourself and your profession. Give these same doctors the opportunity, the environment, funding and equipments to excel as with their colleagues abroad and you see them perform. The Nigerian doctors being praised in UK, US and Saudi just to mention a few, are they not products of our educational system? 1 Like |

Nigerians are the most hypocritical set of human beings. You come here and celebrate when your tribes man is elected to position in foreign land.. But in Nigeria, an Abia man cannot be a commissioner in Imo without uproar. State of origin is still being used as excuses for not giving you a position you are qualified for, even though you and your father were born in that state, you have to trace your state of origin 3-4 generations back. Nonsense! Scrap State of origin, scrap quota system... Let the best man for the job do the job!!! |
