Nickisindigo: Ai is just an LLM it’s just like you give a mathematician a calculator. If you don’t know the math how can you use the calculator effectively? 3 Likes 1 Share |

Vibe coding is perfect for building solutions that already exist it’s just an LLM. I think the impact would be felt more for frontend devs cause most people just need basic frontend solutions, however if ur building something new using ai is a pandora box. I working on something sometime in the past I already came up with a reasonable solution I understood but not perfect. I tried copilot for the problem and spilled something that looked reasonable and worked, however, when I started scaling the solution I started experiencing crazy bugs, started to review the code and realized it was rubbish designed to look right. I had to pull out the whole copilot generated code and started from scratch

PlasmaTV: Lol because they said they would bring experts to do a review? Does not prove anything, if anything it proves how credible JAMB is they are willing to expose their internal systems to possible critics Ill bounce back to the old age phrase. It depends If you’re doing something that has prospects for instance a business/startup/learning a skill that’s doing well and getting a first class might kill ur business then try and get may be a 4.xx/5 or a 2:1. If education is all ur doing and banking on (which I’m not a fan of ) then try for a first class All in all life is so unpredictable and unscripted do your best |

Very insensitive leaders we have, despite all of this the president is out of the country. Which investor will hear this and will invest a cent in Nigeria, believe me potential investors are the once always monitoring the situation the most. May the departed soul rest in peace.

My dissertation was around this (multilevel parallel pattern library-c++) in a lot of works I kept seeing a lot of materials referencing him, had to go and find out who he was FYI parallelism is one of the most complex and difficult problems in computer science, often times people are afraid of it. My own work almost drove me crazy but I enjoyed it, the guy did well 🥂 18 Likes 2 Shares |

Botragelad: This not same thing hitler said. U know i always wondered how the common German folks bought into the propaganda of slaughtering innocent people during ww2 and not revolt against the leader or is that they were heartless or something. Same thing happening now. |

RenaissanceGuy: Even with this, with the current situation after investing all your life to become a professor/medical doctor this is still small with the cost of living in this country…. A professor most likely already has a family o What of the cost of going to all the school to become a professor? A simple Mac book costs about 1 million naira… you might say you don’t need this, okay what of access to health when sick ? A family member got a car about 4 years ago 2.2 mill naira that Same car that should have depreciated in value is now selling for 5 mill…. Car is a 2009 model almost 15 years old car o 1 Like 1 Share |

Mosba:This might sound harsh but this is true. We need to look at the statistics of everything majority of those who enjoy this country(average to wealthy life o)are the political class, the number of “ordinary/poor man” that enjoys this country are few, the question is are you going to be part of them ? I have a friend who graduated with first class and risked everything and started a cold room somewhere in Rivers.. spoke to him last week his transformer spoilt going to 2 weeks now. He has been down, these are some of the things one can face doing a business here…And believe me I’m a very strong advocate of invest in Nigeria but recently with experience my stance is changing gradually There are opportunities in this country, you are even a federal worker so job security is guaranteed. But you need to also consider future Prospects, how fast can you get to the top of your field? What will you be earning in the next 5 years at your current job to your family? Godforbid you or anyone close to you develops an expensive sickness. These are factors you might have missed which you have to include while making a final decision Finally I’m in a similar situation as I have a fully funded scholarship to the uk with stipends, my current job pays me something similar to yours. and these are some of the things I considered Everything is a risk but which one will you do and per adventure it doesn’t work out, you can leave with? |

In a similar situation ship have a fully funded scholarship with living costs (MSc computer science ) vs have a job that pays about 200k tech remotely I’m about to accept the scholarship and leave the job |

This is one of the reasons to consider “japa” most of this diseases has no specific cause and dem no da look face…treatment can be very expensive even for the average politician in Nigeria… But abroad you stand a very big chance with the best medical facilities available.. I know you might say not my portion but these things do happen. In Nigeria we are too poor to even see this as a possibility |

Was in a similar situation as you, though younger. Currently a software engineer my pay isn’t bad. Have a fully funded scholarship for computer science abroad my undergraduate is biochem also… . My advice is what do you have ion for? For me from child hood I always loved computers and never paid attention to it, as soon as I graduated I put in for medicine direct entry didn’t work out( I was extremely desperate),,on the contrary almost every software engineering job I applied for I was called for an interview and they were always impressed and this is because of the tremendous amount of knowledge and time I put in. even without a background in computer science All in all ask what you have ion. The it sector is very challenging to get into but it’s a field that if you have ion for can take you places in a very short amount of time compared to medicine Ps: I have a very good friend studying medicine and he is in his 400 already, he is 38… undergrad biochem Ask yourself honestly what do you love doing the most I hope this helps 5 Likes |
